I thought this place was such a cute and unique idea. Seeing as I love chocolate I had to check it out. The caramels were delicious. I had the bourbon pecan and the rose (very light rose flavor). The elixir was great too. Very chocolaty with hints of orange water. My daughter had ice cream and called it second place to her favorite ice cream from our hometown. I enjoyed this place very much.

We loved this cute little shop! The chocolate elixirs were heavenly (the best we’ve ever had) and the owner was so gracious and kind. He even gave my children a tour of the kitchen and demonstration on how the truffles are made. We enjoyed trying the chocolate covered chilies as well. It will be a must-stop for us whenever visiting Santa Fe.

Highlight of our afternoon in Santa Fe! This quaint little shop has a variety of drinking chocolate elixirs and truffles. They even serve organic ice creams. The owner and staff are super friendly and give great suggestions. The prices are reasonable for the quality and ambience. Definitely worth visiting!

I loved the organic sea salt ice cream with hot fudge and whipped cream! I also liked the Jeffersonian elixir. I tried the Mayan elixir but it was a little spicy for my taste. This is a unique chocolate shop and I highly recommend a visit.

LOVED this darling little shop when I was in Santa Fe in January. I enjoyed the chocolate elixir with chili in it - talk about an explosion of taste in that tiny little cup. My boyfriend had their organic ice cream, and we both shared a chocolate-dipped chile pepper. HOT but positively addictive. The service was top notch, too, with the most charming young lady behind the counter. I've shared this experience on my website about chocolate and will definitely visit again. (I'm still dreaming about those chile peppers.) :)

We stopped here during our road trip (from OKC, OK) and seriously couldn’t have been more pleased with our visit. You can sample any of the drinking elixirs which is awesome but I highly highly recommend the American. We also tried each of their vegan truffles they offered that day and they were delicious! Above all else though, the staff here was truly wonderful. Some of the most helpful and nicest people we’ve ever met. You really can’t go wrong stopping here.. the treats and the staff are equally sweet and make it worth it!

I've been here several times over the years and I've always loved it. But now they make ice cream too? And it was the best chocolate ice cream I've ever put in my mouth. I definitely suggest it.

Such a fun place, with a mix of locals and out-of-towners! The atmosphere is old country store meets coffee shop. The samples of daily drinking elixirs allowed me to try some very unique flavors. I settled on a Chai Elixir, but I think I would have enjoyed all of them! And I'm walking back to the hotel with several truffles and chocolates for after dinner. Will definitely come back the next time I'm in Santa Fe!

What a fun experience to have. They have traditional Mayan elixirs and we enjoyed every sip. The original ones were chocolatey and spicy. They also gave us tastes of the modern American elixirs. They were yummy too. The truffles were a bit pricey but we couldn't resist.

My order: -Rose Almond Elixir (hot chocolate) -Mezcal truffle -Aztec chocolate ice cream Excellent chocolate! The samples they gave us when we walked in were very tasty. I really felt like you were getting an authentic experience. Great service! The mezcal was not too overwhelming. And the ice cream really fills you up. I couldn’t even finish it.

Wonderful place!! I visited here with my sister during our trip. It was cold outside and their amazing chocolate drinks were sweet and warm enough to make us really happy. Their chocolates were also fantastic. Also very kind to us. I can understand why Kakawa chocolate house is also known to Korean who travels NM. You must visit!! Just try it! Don't say u don't like sweet things. They have bitter version, but also really good, drinks too! Just try it x10.

Delicious elixirs and chocolate! Plus they have a cute patio that I would love to enjoy on a warmer day than the one I went. This place is great for gifts as well as a tasty treat for yourself. Highly recommend.

Small space but seating was available inside at around 2pm. Great variety of chocolate treats from truffles to brownies. A little of the chocolate drink goes a long way, especially the spicy ones. The 3 oz espresso-sized drinks were perfect. I recommend adding whipped cream to cut through the thick richness of the chocolate. Staff is helpful in making decisions since everything looks amazing. Well worth a cost especially since it’s in a great sightseeing area to walk around.

We stopped here after a day of hiking and dinner. It's a really neat place but it's very small for the crowd they attract. This can make it feel hectic. I would research ahead if it's your first time. They will let you sample any of the chocolate elixirs (fancy for hot chocolate) annd it's certainly not a bargain but if you are looking for an experience this place is on the list. We had a mocha, two Kakawa Americans and some chocolates. My wife and I loved it all the kids just enjoyed the chocolates. The chocolate elixir is seriously rich for these kids used to our at home hot chocolate.
