The food was very very good. Pictures include: The calamari appetizer, the beet and farro appetizer. Main course was a pan crusted cod and chicken marsala. Dessert was lemon canoli. Not pictured was the chocolate dessert with toffee and seared pears because everyone ate it so fast. Six adults dined that evening, ALL 6 were very pleased, not one complaint! The service was even better. Such a cute restaurant yet modern. Cozy chairs make it hard to leave. Bicycle art and other touches catch your eye consistently. You can watch the competent folks, working hard in the open kitchen. They offer a unisex restroom which I think is great! It's located close to the Lensic so its perfect to eat there before a show. Go and enjoy it.
Popular place for dinner. We made reservations a day ahead and still had a late sitting but it was worth it for the food. We had chicken marsala and shrimp scampi. Food and service was excellent.
My husband and I live in Santa Fe and consider Trattoria a Mano to be one of the best restaurants in New Mexico. Choose any of the house-made pastas and don’t skip dessert - they are great! If you’re fortunate enough to have Ari or Clay or Elise available to help with the wine list and menu, let any of them assist with the difficult choices. I usually order the Citrus Salad and Stringozzi ala Chitarra (similar to cacio e pepe) and have never been disappointed - both are simply outstanding. The Indigenous Prosecco is a very good value for the quality and excellent pairing with several of the pasta and seafood dishes. As a local, my husband and I know we’ve found our “go to” restaurant in SF for really excellent food and service. Get a reservation if you can (although they do take walk-ins) and don’t be surprised if you have a short wait - diners tend to linger here to have just one more bite of dessert:)
What a lovely place! We had the carpaccio which was excellent! It has fried capers which are delicious and quite salty so don’t salt before you try. Then came the Gorgonzola pear salad that was light and excellently dressed. Our waiter recommended a Riesling, more expensive than what we budgeted but worth it and perfectly paired with all we ordered! Next came the Saffron lobster pasta. I would have preferred a cream sauce rather than tomato but it was still delicious. For dessert, we chose the calamari and were pleased. Service, food and atmosphere were stellar!
My only wish is that they would put a heater in the bathroom because of the very cold toilet seat!
The food was good but way below our expectations. Out of 4 dishes ordered 3 were very simple in a way that you can easily cook it at home without much of an effort or any special ingredients. For the price we payed we expected more of a restaurant experience rather than a home made dinner. Again, delicious but simple and expensive. The service was great though.
This was our first time eating at Trattoria A Mano, but it won't be the last. We were greeted promptly when we arrived and told there would be a short wait for our table. They gave us complimentary wine while we waited and made sure we were comfortable.
Once seated, they sent someone over to discuss vegan options we had requested. She spent quite a bit of time with us and it was clear they would accommodate our needs. The meal we chose was perfect, the wine was wonderful, and the service was attentive without hovering. A wonderful evening.
