I didn't know it was it was Cafeteria style. The blueberry pancakes were good. The latte was good. The orange juice was really good it was just all very expensive. It was 68 dollars for one breakfast, a side of pancakes, an oj and a latte.

Brought some family here during a touristy outing in Santa Monica and it was a perfect pit-stop!!
The line was kind of long on Saturday brunch but it moved quickly and our food came out pretty fast.
I really liked my brisket hash. We wished the Lox Tartine had some capers but otherwise really good, with fresh ingredients!!
The coffee and fresh squeezed OJ a here was a highlight.
The seating and cafe itself is also very cute and lively. Some of the prepared foods looked really good. Would come back!!

Delicious! Their pastries are worth any wait in line. We were blown away by the cornmeal cake, wow! Coffees are also tasty. Haven’t tried their food yet but dishes look great!

Breakfast was absolutely delicious. I had the Huevos Rancheros. The flavors were spectacular. Tried the hot sauce and it was so good, bought a bottle to take home. My wife had the gluten free bakery afterwards and loved it. Staff was fun and friendly.

My wife and I live in OC. Every time we make our way to the west side of LA we can’t help but come here. It’s simple. We love the fried egg sandwich. I’m sure their other stuff is bomb too but all we eat is the egg sandwich. That bread is fire!! Parking is a pain, and sometimes it gets pretty hectic inside but we’ve always found a seat! Highly recommend.

The Huckleberry Cafe in Santa Monica has indoor and outdoor seating. We elected the outdoor option. There's a pandemic, after all.
You need to go inside in order to order and pay. Payment in advance is actually convenient since you can just get up and leave at the end of your meal.
Other than that, there's normal table service. Our servers and busses were friendly and efficient.
I had lox and cream cheese. They call it something else. It's on sourdough bread and is topped with pickled onions and grilled cherry tomatoes and capers. It's absolutely delicious. My daughter had a breakfast burrito, and everyone else had the Huckleberry breakfast, eggs, thick cut bacon and home fries.
Everyone enjoyed their meals.
There's free parking in the back, and the place is accessible to the handicapped. I recommend the Huckleberry Cafe.

I went here for the first time with my friend last week. We had a lot to eat ! Breakfast burrito (which she loved) , bread and jam (with butter) , the cold corn salad (delicious!!!! Best item we tried) and their Caesar salad (which was not my favorite). It was very bland because of how they made the dressing. The desert pastries were delicious! She also had coffee and I got a can beverage. The total with tax and tip was $85.
The interior is casual. You order at the counter and they bring the food to you. It looks like a great spot for a casual occasion or to stop in for coffee and morning pastry. It’s a smaller more intimate setting as the space is not super large.

Absolutely fabulous food! We came in for breakfast 20 minutes after they had opened and the place was packed. They had multipl e hot dishes and an assortment of wonderful pastries. Excellent coffee drinks. And, that's just scratching the surface because they had so many more prepared meals, cakes, patisserie and lots of other pieces of deliciousness to explore. I was very impressed.
the service was excellent on the staff was continuously checking whether we wear satisfied. Highly recommended!!

We came here on a Saturday.
There is a parking lot in the back but it’s tight. Anticipate not being able to get in your car because someone parked so close (happened to us)
We entered through the back. You order at the counter, get a number and then sit down. There is indoor and outdoor seating.
Servers were nice and accommodating. Food was okay—not nasty but not absolutely spectacular (with the exception of the quiche which was apparently delicious AF according to my bf)
Mimosas were on the skimpy side for $10 😭🥲 but who’s counting.
We spent $180 with tip for three of us.
Two huckleberry breakfasts add chicken
Dads Pancakes
Quiche
Side of Egg whites
two sides of steak
4 mimosas
1 ginger beer

My go to favorite breakfast spot. Come early if you can, but not too early as they bake and make everything fresh every day so some items may not be available right away. Every time I visit Santa Monica I always have to make a stop here! Everything is fresh. From their English muffins to blueberry corn cake to eggs, it’s superb!

First time trying fried green tomatoes 🍅
The sauce on the side is what made it really stand out. Got a chai scone that was so good! Seems like it's busy all the time since I went during Monday morning primetime.

We were so pleased with the great service and our delicious meal and quality ingredients. We especially loved our mocha coffee made by barista Rafael. The best mocha we have had in a long time … the perfect combination of chocolate and espresso and steamed milk. Not to mention the pastries Wow!!!!

Atmospheric and cozy place. Liked the food, service, would definitely come here again. My only complaint is that it’s incredibly loud and it’s hard to hear each other even if you sit closely

Pricey, but good!! We got the breakfast burritos w/ beef chorizo - the portion was huge and it was the best breakfast burrito we’ve ever had. On the side we ordered a single pancake as well. Total came to about 67 dollars which is a little pricey for a place where you have to order at the counter. Other than that, amazing food. Bonus points that there’s parking

Oh my goodness this place is amazing. I had a late breakfast here by myself. I had a decent latte and the country breakfast. Everything was very high quality for the price. Great service as well. I will come back for sure.
One thing to note is it might not be great for large groups since the tables are small, best for 2-4 people only.

Amazing customer service. Best freshly squeezed orange juice I have ever had. The food is on point and the pastries are the best in the area!

Huckleberry keeps me coming back for the blueberry cornbread cake… Outrageously delicious moist yumminess. My newest crush however is the turkey burger, easily the best one I’ve ever had. EVER! The staff’s hospitality is the cherry on top! A rare find in a Westside eatery.

As relatively new LA residents, my wife and I have been searching for our favorite breakfast spots. I can confidently say this is the best by far and it’s not close! Everything was great, but the biscuits were special. The only question now is how many times we will come back!

Travelled from Australia to USA and Huckleberry was on my to do list to visit. Well it didn't disappoint , food was amazing and finally found a cafe that has excellent coffee. Will be telling my Aussie friends to visit

If you're seeking a quintessential, laid back but buzzing LA brunch spot look no further. We almost didn't go because so many reviews reference long lines but we had no problem getting a table and the environment is so enjoyable we wouldn't have minded waiting even if that had been the case. The food is fresh, unique, totally delicious and absolutely lives up to the awesomeness of the cafe's name. Speaking of which, after mentioning to our charismatic, twinkly-eyed server, Daniel that we have a daughter named Huckleberry, he spoke to his boss and they put together a little package of Huckleberry labeled goodies which will blow her 5-year-old mind. Everyone working there seems to take pride in their work, the vibe is both cool and relaxed without being pretentious and the pastry display will make your head spin. Both the coffee and mimosas were generously proportioned, which is essential for a good brunch. I wish so much we had a place like this in my hometown of Jupiter, Florida. In the meantime, this will be a mandatory stop on every trip to LA.

We had the egg sandwich and egg tostada, also tried some pastry’s and a mocha with almond milk. Everything was so delicious and we will be back to try some of the other items on the menu and of course more pastries.

Very nice little place to get some great food. I had the Monte Cristo with greens!! Highly recommend!!
Walter Hyman
Delicious and fresh, my 86 year old mom said it's the best pancakes she's ever had! Was expensive, so will have to be a treat or Special occasion next time.
Chris Kelly
Amazing food and taste, great vibe and friendly staff! Be back soon!
Linda Rode-Hage
Good staff ! Friendly and hospitable which is hard to find these days in any service industry !! I'd give it a 5 but the kitchen closes at 3pm !
Annette Paz
I love this place!!! Perfect breakfast but I wish they had more selections! The staff are super nice too!!! Will sure come back here again!
Rita Ní Fidhne
The bread in the sandwich ordered was stale. The scone that we ordered came with no butter/jam etc. The floor was dirty...looked like it hadn't been swept for a couple of days. Was charged for staff health insurance along with tax on my bill. Would not be going back. Shouldn't always believe what I read online!

Food is good. But one service person was a prick. The one with the red and black stripe tight shirt on his fat body. The food didn't taste that good after that. I don't recommend the place after my second visit.
Daniela Wasbin
Taste the pastries and then buy the Huckleberry pastries book and start baking. You will have an epiphany.
Sandy Baldwin Billick
It was very crowded at 11:00. The long line to order was not encouraging but it did move quickly. We ordered fried egg sandwiches and potato wedges. These were fairly simple sandwiches to take so long but worth waiting for. They were delicious; the bread was
especially tasty. We couldn't resist one of the yummy hazelnut, chocolate cakes.
Vera Affaba
Fantastic place! My family and I, we love to have breakfast there when we are staying in Santa Monica
Stacey Sternberg
Love it here. Food is different and great. Very diverse and different menu. Pastries are excellent. Go there!
Chris Kralicek
It was too expensive for what you got. The people were nice but for that price it should be full service, plus it was crowded and uncomfortable.
Lee Chryster
Best $4 coffee in Santa Monica. Long lines are just because people can't choose between so many great items. But anything you choose turns out to be fabulous. Great, rotating Pasteries selection too.
