I love it here. The food and vibes are always great. I did have a reservation at 7 and was not seated till a little after 730 due to overbooking and how crowded it was. Had a few martinis while waiting so I was pretty drunk for dinner which made the food taste even better. I love their scampi and po
Very great seafood. The sand dab was wonderful. The free bread was served warm and smothered in garlic flavored butter. The potato side was wonderful. Great service. Only complaint was that my table was in the middle and bar guests kept talking or moving over me or running into my chair. Also, it w
Lovely place, cozy and had a vintage vibe, the servers were so nice and helpful and the food was delicious. Shout out to David one of the cooks for helping us at the parking lot and go out of his way to do so, we are very grateful.
This place is awesome! Old school Santa Monica. Great service, awesome drinks and the food was amazing! Went as part of a themed bar crawl but told the Hubby and can't wait to go back!
Parking is limited here as you know. So make sure of that. Ordered a mocktail at this place. It’s so good. It’s best to make a reservation here if you want to eat. Place can get busy and small.
My friend made a reservation because my birthday was coming up. Great service, delicious steak. The last dinner at the destination became a wonderful memory.
Elegant, welcoming, and incredible food. Every dish we had was spectacular. The unique crusted steak was unreal! Make a res and eat here when you can.

Very hospitable staff, super friendly and relaxed. The amazing chef humbly served us our food and drinks. We’ll absolutely be back. Fantastic burger and steak sandwich.
We had a delicious dinner at in the quaint, dark Chez Jay. We were thankful we had reservations for our family of 5. We were seated immediately even though the restaurant was very busy. This Santa Monica landmark first attracted my eye while watching Goliath at home in San Diego. On a 3-day trip to Los Angeles I decided to come by and check it out. I loved it! My friend and I hung out for a couple hours, had 3 drinks each, and ordered the honey glazed brussel sprouts with bacon an

We went to Chez Jay, Santa Monica, 6th July 2023 3 adults on holiday from England. We absolutely loved it there. I wish we were in Santa Monica for longer, so we could go again. From the second we turned up the staff were so friendly and attentive and we had a good laugh. The atmosphere is great. Li
I ordered the grilled salmon and it was juicy and fresh. It was delicious. The backyard sitting is more relaxing and quiet. The front is a little dark and more for drinking. We prefer sitting at the backyard. We chat and drink and enjoy the food there.
