Bay Cities Italian Deli - Santa Monica - Photo album

We decided to try an Italian Deli for lunch. The Bay Cities Italian Deli and Bakery was close by so we made a stop there. Parking can be difficult during peak lunch hours. We sampled a lot of different hot foods. The chicken parmesan sandwich was delicious. The chicken was nicely breaded withou
The god mother sandwich is really good, balanced with pickles, peppers and tomatoes. The only thing is hams are too salty. And the store is super busy so the service is not much good. They only accept cash and debit card, remember to take some cash.
I have to start off this mixed review by stating the most important part. The subs were absolutely delicious (5 stars)! Best in the Santa Monica area. Now, for the rest of the review. The parking is very tight and small, so good luck with that, I suppose you could say that at least they have a park
Super cute deli experience with amazing sandwiches and seating outdoors. The man who served us was delightful. Great selection of wines and fine Italian food too.
Awesome store and deli. Definitely make a stop on your trip to Santa Monica. Street parking wasn't too tricky, and they work fairly quickly in there. Delicious sandwiches and the best bread.
Just tried Bay Cities Pistachio Cheese Cake (personal slice)! OMG - its like the marriage of Canoli cream and Cheese Cake. Brilliant! Bob the Basque Baker and his kitchen crew are simply amazing. Even their deserts are top quality.
I go here when I'm in the area. The sandwich to get is the spicy Gdmother with the works. People line up for this sandwich. They also make them ahead of time as they are so popular. I actually got the tuna the last few times which is also amazing. Their bread is so fresh - crunchy on the outside yet
Bay Cities is the best. The guys behind the deli counter move fast but they are super nice and just trying to manage the crowd. Products are high quality and everyone who works there including the owner is excited to talk about what they’ve got, including their great wine selection. As a relocated N
Most delicious pastrami sandwich I ever had! The bread is soft and chewy. The ingredients were even throughout so you’d get everything in every bite. Huge Italian market and deli. So fun and super busy but definitely worth the wait.
The godmother (with hot peppers) is insanely good but it’s pretty expensive, parking is always a sh!tshow, and the line for fresh sandwiches is always crazy long and chaotic. I usually go with someone else, idle the car, run in and grab two pre-made sandwiches in the refrigerated section and eat it
