Seriously the best. Doesn't matter what you get, it's the best. The best ingredients from the olive oil to the hand made pasta. The lemon parpadelle with English peas is something I still dream about, even though it's been gone since last spring. The garlic knot is an absolute must, and you can't go wrong with whatever gniochi is current. This is my "last meal on earth" place.
Went here for lunch with my daughter. Started with the chicken meatballs and they were perfection. Tender with a little kick of heat, sauce was great! My daughter had the Bolognese, a hefty portion and she said it was terrific. I had the Garnet Yam Gnocchi. Gnocchi is one of my favorites and this one did not disappoint. Very tender, smooth consistency and the butter brown sauce with crispy sage completed this wonderful dish. Service was spot on. I would defiantly go back to try other items on their menu.
What a great surprise to end up here. The peach and heirloom tomato salad with burrata was heavenly. Just the right amount to salt to sweetness. So fresh with a few simple ingredients. Pork belly and kale pizza - yummy with a crust that was airy and crunchy at the same time. Love re the garlic paste and added some red pepper flakes. Then ended with this perfectly crusted pound cake with berries and fresh whip cream. Servers and hostesses we lovely. Only thing I would say the my pour on the rose was rather skimpy. I'll be back!
Absolutely loved this place! We started with a salad that included peaches, heirloom tomatoes and the freshest mozzarella cheese I've ever had. Then came the pizza with kale and sausage, also delicious. Last was the pound cake with strawberries and whipped cream. Yum! If I didn't live so far away I'd be stopping by every week.
Third time in a row for breakfast this week! Today was especially amazing with a veggie quiche with caramelized onions, kale, goat cheese and a crust sent down from heaven. We loved our server Adam F too!
Amazing!! Fantastic food, wonderful staff, casual and fun. Burrata, arugula, flatbread sooooo good. Great wine list
New flavors like poached eggs on polenta and passion fruit meringues and caramel cappuccinos. I was totally hooked after 1 breakfast. Please don't go, however. I don't want to have to wait in line. 😉
Outstanding food and I love the dedication shown by the staff here (and all of their restaurants, for that matter). It is a little pricey and you have to be prepared for communal seating if that isn't your thing. I have never had a bad meal, loaf of bread, or espresso shot in all the times I've eaten here. It is a special place and always a treat to patronize.
It's been a while since I was back in LA but I still remember this fantastic little place. Wonderful food, atmosphere and staff. We ate there 5 times in 6 days.
Totally by far the best pizza I've ever had, Berrata Cheese 🧀 Prosciutto & arugula is the Ultimate .. 👌🏼Yum 👅 I recommend it
We had the BEST meal and service at Milo Olive. The organic chicken meatballs are terrific. The pizza is AMAZING. And the choice of wine and beer is something you would get at a much more expensive restaurant. You have to try Milo Olive because once you do it will become a favorite place to go. Probably on a weekly basis.
People super nice!! Great costumer service, food excellent!!!
I hardly recommend Milo &Olive, Santa Monica
This Place has the best Food and Coffee. Everyone is Very Friendly!! Their Rosemary and Potatoe Pizza is Good. I can go on and on. Please come and check out this place....
Fast, fresh, no-frills comfort food! Really good stuff! Don’t miss the bolognese and the pound cake from the kitchen with whipped cream and strawberries!!!
Hands down the best bread and pizza in LA (kinda sad I know this because know I'll be tempted to come here more!). Great casual space, excellent service. Be prepared for a wait but it's worth it - especially for the garlic knot.
Yummy food.
Nice variety of vegetarian, gluten free, and regular options.
Despite the name, there were no olives on the breakfast/lunch menu, but we asked for a side of olives and got them. Delicious! Lemon and brine varietals.
The outdoor back seating is surrounded by an edible garden.
This was a first time dining experience in Cali…I recommend the restaurant 100%! They were a busy place indeed. The staff is so friendly, and we came in with a reservation and showed early. The hostess checked in with each person waiting to be seated multiple times-you don’t see that very much in most places. A good vibe inside and the atmosphere is nice also. Even though we were early, we still did have to wait almost 15min beyond our rez to be seated but, we were delighted when they offered to bring us an appetizer because they were sorry we had to wait so long. Awesome tasting food and they serve breakfast and lunch as well daily.
This is a gem in Santa Monica.
They offer delicious italian food. And the server is also very accomodating.
We adore their protein section, especially the meatball. SO GOOD.
Have not tried their pastas, but the Pizzas are a treat for the tummy. It is crisp, tasty and makes us happy.
Parking.. there is a structured building nearby, just before the restaurant.
Very good outdoor settings. I will come back again for wine and pasta on a sunny day. The price was reasonable and the pizza was good. For some reason, I thought the Garlic Knot was not as good as I expected after seeing many reviews rave about it. The salad was mediocre.
Rigatoni
The dish was simply delicious, and I couldn’t get enough of its delightful flavors. The walnut basil pesto cream lent a rich and nutty essence to the pasta, perfectly complemented by the freshness of the market vegetables. The burrata added a creamy and indulgent touch, making every bite a pure delight. The breadcrumbs provided a delightful crunch, and the chili oil added just the right amount of kick to elevate the overall taste.
My sisters came across this place when we were looking for good Italian spots in Santa Monica. So glad we chose M&O! Everything was good, especially their lambrusco and orata. The service was also fantastic!
The pesto pasta with burrata was really good but there was too much oil in the bottom. The prosciutto was good as well.
Fantastic italian food place for a dinner. I visited with my girlfriend twice in a week.
The food is very tasty and the pizza options are sofisticated. The antipasti options are also very good. I tried the Burrata. The service is great within the expectations for the restaurant price and profile.
I enjoyed and I would go over again when in LA. I strongly recommend it.
I had a million decisions to make today, So, I decided to leave it up to the chef to pick out dinner. And boy, was impressed! It started with some marinated olives, then came the spaghetti, and finally, the highlight of the meal, the short rib skewers with garlic butter. Everything was absolutely amazing, but that garlic bread at the end was the real showstopper for me. Wow!
The Margherita Pizza at Milo & Olive is delicious. The sauce is the highlight, in my opinion. The savory marinara sauce is topped generously with mozzarella medallions. The crust is absolutely delicious and toasted in all the right places. I recommend, especially if you love saucy pizzas.
