We arrived early to dinner and was greeted by a very pleasant hostess. We were sat immediately. The menu seems kind of limited to me as I personally didn't identify many items I liked. However I had the stripped bass and thought it was good. The service was just so so.

Went in for happy hour, they have a great selection from good to cocktails to wine. Service was great! We eat at the bar and both bartenders alternated and helped us out. Right along with the beautiful atmosphere. I definitely recommend if you're looking for a cute date place but want it casual

Second time here. Always full of people during the happy hour (it would be wise to sit outside for it’s much more quiet than the inside). Oysters were really great, should also try the mussels.

Great atmosphere and service. They have the freshest raw oysters I've ever tasted. The muscles were very good too. I ordered this interesting tasting cocktail with cucumber and jalapenos. The main dishes were great too. My favorite was the scallops and marrow and my husband ordered the mahi mahi. Both excellent dishes. I didn't care for the sausage and fennel flatbread though. It was over the top spicy. The beet and goat cheese salad is a must.

Come for the happy hour oysters 4-7pm every day including the weekend! Nice place with good atmosphere. The service is good, you still have some private space even sitting at the bar. Great and fresh $1 oysters.

Herringbone was across the street from our hotel and decided to give it a try. What a pleasant experience. Beautiful vibrant decor and vibe. Hostess was pleasant and accommodated seating preference.
Our waitress Megan D could have not been nicer and her service was to perfection. Her recommendation of the unlimited mimosas certainly was worth while. Herringbone's mimosas have mostly champagne and a little OJ to add to the taste.
All dishes were cooked exactly as requested and were delicious. Save room for the cinnamon roll (should be renamed Sin-namon roll).
A great brunch and a great place don't miss it!!!

Great atmosphere for dinner and drinks. Tuna tartare was fresh and grilled octopus was perfectly cooked. Pasta was al dente and served with delicious sauce. Everything was on point. Not your typical American restaurant- as we’ve been struggling to find good food around.

Pickled eggs are a bit on the pricey side, but quit good. The "Grow. Pear" cocktail for $8 on happy hour was very good, though it is cilantro forward.

Visited the restaurant for cocktails and excellent staff with good cocktail menu. Drinks were fab and service excellent. Visited the following day for evening meal. Husband had the Dinghi which he rated as 5 star and I had the diver scallops which were beautiful. Really good service and staff happy to recommend wines and answer questions about the dish. Great ambience and fabulous decor.

A few weeks ago a few of us went back to Herringbone for our 2nd time. We brought our business there again because we had a such a great first experience there for my friends Birthday. Our 2nd time was even better.. we tried their happy hour menu. Our favorites were the crab cake and flatbreads, which were really large delicious pizza's and big bang for your buck. I personally loved our manager Austin and waiter Drew. While Herringbone is a big corporation, these guys were professional yet so warm and down to earth. This is saying a lot being that Santa Monica has so much to chose from... Customer Service wins here! Thanks guys for the great experience. We will be back!

Went for girls night. We had an amazing time! We had excellent service throughout: from cocktails to dessert. We ordered a variety of menu items family style. The fish was fresh and flavorful. The cavatelli was light, but decadent. The hanger steak was a perfect mid-rare and practically melted in my mouth. I will definitely be back for more and bringing more of my friends with me! Highly recommend!

Customer service is a joke. Our server was so non existent, one of the people in our group got there 30 mins before brunch ended and wasn't able to order anything because the waitress was nowhere to be found. Also the guy pouring mimosas spilled into one person's lap twice!!! They also made us make 2 separate reservations to accommodate our party because they don't take groups of 14 people. The food we did get is sub par. Won't be returning.

If you are looking for a great happy hour or an amazing oyster bar this is your place. Buffalo Octopus appetizer was more than enough for two. If you are planning a business dinner or rehearsal dinner they have a separate room that is perfect.

Service was good, food OK but the most striking part of this experience, no modifications on the menu!!!!! so if there is something you don't like, allergic to, etc. your are SOL!!! Even Wendy's offers modifications to their fast food!!! what a sad way of loosing customers.
