Good brunch spot to hit up if you're ever in Santa Monica. It's an Aussie-style cafe that serves salads, burgers, sandwiches, pasta, and grain bowls. This joint gives you a very relaxed and local vibe. It has a very cute little patio and has a great location right by the ocean.
MUST TRY - chicken burger, truffle fries and watermelon juice.
I really enjoyed their chicken burger. The chicken was tender and crispy and paired perfectly with the coleslaw. Their truffle fries were also on point. My boyfriend got their cheeseburger and it was ok. It wasn't bad but it also wasn't amazing. The thing that I absolutely loved was their watermelon juice. It was super refreshing and super yummy.
We really enjoyed our meal here. We had the grain bowl and the crispy rice bowl, both were really tasty. The prices were fair, the staff was friendly, and the vibe was pretty cool. If you’re in the area, I’d recommend it. Try to get a seat outside if you can!

Great little lunch spot! My mom is gluten free so she's usually stuck with ordering a salad, but Little Ruby has lots of gluten free options and GF bread and pasta. My sister and I both got the fried chicken burger, my mom got the BLT on a GF bread and we all got the strawberry basil lemonade. Food, drinks, service, everything was excellent. Highly recommend and I'll definitely be back when I'm in town visiting!
I love this cute little cafe in Santa Monica that is right near Ocean. This is an Australian style cafe that has really trendy vibes. I'm such a plant lover, so all of the plants on the tables and outside I find so adorable. The menu has a lot to choose from. The brunch options are great, but they also have yummy lunch options as well.
The avo toast with egg is plated so beautifully and very delicious. The egg sandwich is amazing as well. I sub the bacon for avocado which is delightful. Their fries with truffle aioli are seriously amazing as well as the sweet potato fries with sour cream & sweet chili. Get some for the table. You will not be disappointed.
The pastas that I have tried here were very satisfying as well as the healthy bowl options that they have. Everything looks delicious and tastes just as delicious. This is a perfect place to come and then hit the beach on the weekend.
If you want a good coffee.. come here. Aussies know best. Great food, and friendly staff with great customer service. Also the cafe is in a great location and open till late.

The sweet potato fries with the crema and sweet chili drizzle were to die for! Also the chicken sandwich has been one of the best I’ve had, and I’m from the South. ;) The watermelon alcoholic bevvie was good, but didn’t seem to pack any sort of punch 🥊
Surprisingly good corn fritters. For some reason the rest of the menu didn't excite me. But this particular dish did not disappoint. The matcha lemonade was delightful.
As an Australian I can vouch for the authentic Aussie cuisine and excellent service.
Reasonable prices even with the horrendous exchange rate right now.

I don't want to get into the circumstances of my first visit, but let's just say it didn't turn out as expected. HOWEVER, the managers did everything in their power to make it right and I really appreciated that. They were very welcoming and made it known that customers matter, which is so rare these days. I decided to give Little Ruby another chance and I'm glad I did. I had the homemade lemonade and spaghetti and let's just say that this may have been one of the best meals I've had in a while. The spaghetti was garnished with this breadcrumb crunch and cream sauce that was so delicious. The homemade lemonade is hands down the best lemonade I've had. The service itself was great with very warm and friendly staff. The cafe is absolutely beautiful with a great vibe - they've added charming details to everything.It's definitely a spot that I can spend all day in! Plus, their prices are so reasonable! I'm glad I gave it another chance because I'll definitely be coming back. Thank you for a great experience!

Food was really good and a decent price point. I had the cauliflower bowl and it was fantastic— also had a smoothie and it was delicious. The prices aren’t terrible for Santa Monica, though coffee at 8 dollars seems a little high— I hope to try it soon though because Aussie coffee is wonderful. It looked like they were still in the process of opening and wish them the utmost success as they establish themselves in the community!
Nice decor and service was nice. We had their chicken sandwich and one of the burgers with fries The chicken sandwich was delicious, I'd recommend it! It was juicy and came with flavorful toppings/condiments. The burger was great, served on a panini bun which was unique Fresh greens and tomatoes with their mayo made this sandwich! The fries were cripsy and well seasoned, loved them. We topped the meal off with an apple spritzer that was a little tart but refreshing. Worth a stop.
Prices are extremely reasonable, especially for the area, with generous portions. The crispy shoestring fries are excellent and there are many delicious, healthy options (although the Lamb Ragu is a must if you're looking for something heartier). I love the clean, modern ambiance and the low key, friendly service. There is a lovely front patio area for outside dining with an ocean view!
