I enjoyed the experience of dining here more than I liked the food. It’s right in the middle of Santa Monica promenade, and sitting outside is always lively and nice in the warm weather. The servers were also extremely polite and attentive. The food, however, was less impressive. The sauce was pretty watery and the drinks tasted kind of off. It wasn’t bad but it also wasn’t great.

Great pasta restaurant with nice seating outside. The staff is friendly and the service fast. Both our dishes were really good without costing a fortune. If you like pasta Trastevere is a good choice.

Waiters are friendly, and foods are good. Located very busy area but we enjoyed wonderful lunch in quiet ambience.

The cuisine is so high that the taste is so great that it is worthwhile to go there‼️

The food was amazingly delicious 🤤 good service definitely comeback again

Great Christmas Eve dinner. Went earlier in the evening, service was wonderful and the food hit the spot. Everything came out with perfect timing and was delicious. Only complaint would be the bread, as we would have liked it served warm and a little crispier of a crust. However, the olive tampanade it came with was fantastic!

Credit where credit is due. Just had dinner with friends and it was really very good. The calamari was as good as I've had anywhere and my pizza was excellent. Others had pasta and that was equally good. I was a little hesitant having read a number of negative reviews but my friends who live locally use the place regularly and have never had a bad experience.
It's Tuesday night and reasonably busy in late July. I would certainly visit again.

Have had lunch here several times with friends. The service has always been hospitable and courteous. The quality of the food is very good, I’ve always ordered a pizza or the calzone. This place is great for large groups and they are very accommodating to animals.

The food is outstanding! Anything I've eaten I've loved, from appetizers to desserts. I haven't tried their pizza yet. All the staff is extremely polite and prompt. Going on a holiday the service can struggle, just like any other place, so don't hold it against them! And that Tapenade to start the meal off is INCREDIBLE!

Situated on the busy intersection of Santa Monica Blvd. and Third Street, Trastevere is a good choice for Third Street Promenade visitors. A bright and airy dining area provides a welcoming environment for diners, and outdoor patio seating is also available. The waiter was nice, and routinely checked on us. Service was good, and we were quickly served our food. I ordered the lasagna, which was decently portioned and presented nicely. There was a good ratio of pasta and meat, and the taste was also satisfactory. I would recommend this restaurant to visitors looking for a good Italian dinner.

The food is great! I'm surprised to read reviews that say otherwise! The butternut squash ravioli is fantastic! The margarita pizza is scrumptious! The staff has always been fantastic! There is an occasional waiter/waitress that is not up to par with the rest, but they usually don't last long. It's true that the food is pretty pricey, but like I mentioned before, everything I've ever had, tasted fantastic and was worth it! It was my go to restaurant during both of my pregnancies (craved the margarita pizza in the midst of my horrible "morning" sickness)!

Fun place in the center of the Promenade. We ate at the bar and the service was great and the food was tasty. Nice place, can’t help the prices (it’s the people’s republic of Santa Monica but hey!). DH

My partner and I had lovely meals tonight. I had the cabonara and he the steak. Both were enjoyed. Sitting outside under a heater while people watching and listening to the buskers was a bonus too. Would recommend.

Great Italian restaurant in the middle of busy shopping area. Decent prices and good taste. The sandwiches aren't very filling though. But the gnocchi was really good!

Trastevere 1360 Third Street Promenade, (310) 319-1985. If you close your eyes, this trattoria-pizzeria feels so Italian that you might think you are in Italy. However, part of the fun here is watching the street parade, so seat yourself outside in good weather, open up those eyes, and enjoy the show. You might even spot a star. Inside, high ceilings and cloth-covered tables provide an equally inviting setting. After ordering, a complimentary basket of bread and some tasty chopped olive spread appears. Well-priced lunch specials include pastas, sandwiches, and pizzas. My favorites on the regular menu are a really good eggplant-tomato pasta sauce on linguini. I have my eye on pasta al salmone for next time, and many veggie options are available.

This place was nothing fantastic. The patio was nice because you were able to watch the people stroll by on the boulevard, but the pasta was just average and very expensive for what you got. The service was quite poor the night we were there, but this could have been due to it being busy? I'm not sure. I wouldn't go back.

We were really disappointed with our visit here as it was recommended to us . We have been in the USA for 4 weeks and we ordered 3 x New York steaks and they were the worse steaks we had all trip. My other daughter also ordered the spaghetti carbonara which was average. To top it off they wanted to charge us $17.00 for still water. They offered us new steaks but what is the point we you have eaten half of it. Very disappointed especially for the price paid.

My husband and I have eaten here multiple times and the food is wonderful! However, we have never had a good server experience. Not to say te bus boys don't work their asses off but they are the only ones. It's a shame we have to tip the waiters

The lava cake was fantastic as was the food. Definitely recommend.

Terrible. The Rigatoni with their "vodka sauce" (tomato sauce combined with cream sauce) is absolutely inedible. Don't waste your time or money on it. The Panini was also quite bad. Tasteless meat and poor quality bread. The service was also very poor. If you find yourself hungry at the 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica do yourself a favor...do as Dionne Warwick advised and "just walk on by" Trastevere.

Great food didn't like the fact that 15% gratuity was added automatically to the check

Thin crust pizza heaven!. On a busy Friday night, grand opening for the new Santa Monica mall, we were lucky enough to get a table for two in 15 minutes. Then a fantastic bowl of the house Minestone soup, lite and refreshing. Followed by a extraordinary pizza. NO LEFTOVERS. Must go back to resturant.

If you're on the promenade and want some good italian food, this place has awesome thin crust pizzas

Average at best! My pasta was not cooked, and tasted like prego on top of store bought pasta... Don't waste your money! The waiter was very distracted and did not do a very good job.

Things were fine until the waiter spilled a full glass of wine on my fiancés lap (it wasn't even our wine) and to top it off the manager offered us nothing except free dry cleaning! Thanks! We're tourists, that'll come in handy from CANADA!!! Jerks.

The tomatoes were amazingly fresh, the mozzarella was cut down to the perfect size (sometimes it’s too big on these kinds of dishes, and other times it’s scant), and the basil was so flavorful it may as well have been plucked right off of the plant immediately before we ate it.
