BEST Indian food in LA by far! From being greeted at the door to the amazing food and service this place was 5 stars all the way. I’m half Indian myself and think my mum makes the best Indian food ever, but this place gives her a run for her money! Talking about prices, it was super reasonable coming in at under $50 for a couple of mains and an appetizer. Star of the menu was the tandoori chicken and the garlic naan. I’ve never had better garlic naan in my life, it was soft and fluffy but also crunchy and not too chewy - I was seriously amazed and had to force myself to stop eating (but ordered some more to take home 😅). Anyway, love this place, love Rita the owner and cannot wait to come back!!

After a cursory Yelp search we decided to try Rita's for a late lunch. We were immediately greeted by Rita - she gave us great recommendations and helped us decide on our order. Spoiler alert - it was all delicious!! The best Indian food I have ever had and some of the best food I have ever tasted. Everything was perfectly spiced and flavorful without being overwhelming. The dishes were balanced and nothing was too heavy. Rita cooks everything herself so you can expect the same quality every time you visit. We can't wait to go back and to make Rita's one of our repeatedly visited spots. We will be back many times to come!!

Best India food ever!! Served by the cook who is a 72 strong woman from the area of Bangladeshi India. The food was simply delicious. We are going back for more.

Some amazing authentic curry from a lovely lady named Rita trying to live the american dream. It is so unfortunate like many she is struggling post covid to keep her business afloat. If you find yourself in Los Angeles, come check this place out!

Best experience in Los angeles. Most authentic bengali cuisine. Original taste. The chef (Rita) is so friendly. We tried the achar chicken and I must say if you are someone who is fan of something spicy and tangy… I bet you are never gonna find it anywhere. Rita cooks every food here which is her own receipe. Her gajar halwa is the best dessert u r going to find in LA.

Rita was amazing! She was very thoughtful of our experience, talked with us, then cooked for us. The food tasted perfect and we all had different plates and tried each other's. We felt like this was a personal experience eating food we usually don't get where we live. Definitely recommend coming here!

Our lunch at Rita's was delicious. We had the privilege to meet Rita and hear about India, her journey and her fabulous recipes. Her Samosa is the best we had in Los Angeles, We enjoyed each bite of our meals. One of the best authentic Indian restaurant in Los Angeles.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Rita’s restaurant. Our flight was delayed from LAX it was an easy Uber ride to her Resturant . We were greeted by the owner she is absolutely lovely and stunning person has been in business more than 32 years. The food was delicious - we ordered a whole lot of stuff everything was amazing but our favorite was the lamb and the shrimp. The food is very authentic and each plate individually made for the customer.. Close to Santa Monica beach for a little walk after a wonderful meal thank you again for the pleasant experience we had.

Searching for an Indian restaurant got me here. The aroma outside also pushed me to go in. Found out Rita and her husband is from my grandparents ancestral town. The food was really good. Spice level perfect and got the authentic taste. Gravy and Rice Quantity is good for 2 person. Fast service, every patron is taken care personally. I will suggest have chicken biriyani it has really nice flavor and it reminded of my hometown. Will visit this place again when I am back to Santa Monica.
