Kaido - Santa Monica - Photo album

The food here was good. It was well presented, perfectly cooked, and done quickly. The sushi price is a little higher than nearby alternatives but the quality is increased to match. The interior decor was rather spartan and the building exterior was so non descript I didn't realize the resturaunt w
Second time I was here. The happy hours start at 8, I was here 7:45, the server didn't mind for us to wait until 8 to order and actually took our orders early. The dishes were as good as the last time, will repeat.
Quality of salmon teriyaki was excellent, with the salmon not burned. Salmon skin roll was fresh and crispy! Nice atmosphere, good staff, and decent price. Would recommend this place. 10/10
Dinning in this place was wonderful because the reasonable price and tasty rice bowl.
KAIDO IS OPEN AGAIN! They opened back up two days ago, mostly takeout but they do have an outdoor table available for dine in. The food here is amazing and I was a regular customer before the Rona shutdown. I love to get their sushi dinner, it’s a really good deal for a full sushi meal and the fish

So happy Kaido in Westwood Village across Whole Foods is open again!!! I always order my favorite sweet shrimp sushi, does not disappoint with freshness & price! The decor, ambiance can use some improvements but the quality of their sushi & reasonable price has made me loyal patron! πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘
Fish quality was 4/5, fish variety was the usual, nothing surprising. Reasonable pricing. Tasty rolls, and the blue crab hand roll was warm and delicious (low on the mayo you usually see elsewhere). Definitely my alternate option now for the area.
This was my go-to sushi spot when I lived in Santa Monica. My apartment was a couple blocks down the street. When I first stumbled across it in that strip mall I basically ignored it. But once I ventured inside I was embarrassed that I hadn't given it a chance sooner. It feels like a pretty legit J
An amazing restaurant. My wife and I come here whenever we want a quiet but delicious dinner. The staff are always courteous, the dinner plates are great. When are friends come in, we take them here for sushi as well. Great taste and nice presentation
