Ambiance is really nice and peaceful. Two styles od dining area. Indian style dining ambiance is superb. Very good food and taste (we tried many Indian hotels before, but this stands out).
Very warm place. Dog friendly. My cousin from out of town was visiting and they had us sit in patio cz of pet dog. Warm with heater in December. Food was delicious, great variety. Loved loved it, I'm taking more people and recommending this place to people in future. Thank you so much for your servi
Excellent place, food was yummy and the service was very good. First time visiting this restaurant and we loved it. Totally recommend to anyone who likes Indian cuisine.
My favorite Indian restaurant I've ever been to. Everything is extremely fresh, the food always tastes great and makes you feel even better. No matter how much I stuff myself, I never leave feeling sluggish or in a "food coma" - I think it speaks a lot to the quality of their ingredients. We go here
The reason I keep coming back here is because the food is very fresh and always delicious. The same owner since 1971 or maybe longer. That should be enough to try it.
Some of the best Indian food I've had in my life. My friend and I both got the thali, which came with entree of choice, daal, vegetables, a salad, and bread. It was much more cost effective than ordering it all separately. I thought the food was fresh, well flavored, and not overly oily. Would com
Great family run restaurant--fresh ingredients, nuanced flavors and spices. Coconut shrimp, lamb saag and salmon tender, moist & delicious. Eggplant, cauliflower and root vegetable dishes too. Service is friendly and helpful. Simple but lovely decor, especially the outside patios. Recommend without
ALL dishes we sampled were PHENOMENAL especially the 2 vegetarian specials. The food seemed a bit lighter (prepared with less fat and cream perhaps?) than most other Indian cuisine I've had, which allowed subtleties in texture and flavor to emerge that were GORGEOUS and HIGHLY GRATIFYING! The nan wa
The morning after (always a good sign) our dinner at Dhaba; I feel nourished, nurtured and a sense of calm satisfaction about choosing this wonderful restaurant. Our menu choices were a perfect combination to share with my partner, daughter and her partner (who grew up in India) and we all enjoyed t
Excellent food with great homestyle flavor!! We had a full course meal with appetisers, vegetables, naan, rice , dal and papads and onions & chillies (complimentary). We thoroughly enjoyed every item. Also would like to mention that we reached 30 minutes before closing and still the service was excel
Best Indian Food in Santa Monica in my opinion. Sooo light and sooo healthy! Your stomach does not feel bloated after a meal. My favorites are: spicy chicken vindaloo, tandoori chicken tikka masala, gobi aloo, lentil, and tandoori salmon. I want them to open again, please!
Surprisingly a very good Indian. I was told there wasn't a good Indian in LA but I managed to find one! The service was good and the staff were very polite and helpful. Also the food was was very tasty and well presented. Overall, a very enjoyable evening.
Very tasty food with some nice twists on familiar dishes. Very easy to eat here if you have celiac disease, are dairy and/or soy free, like I am. This is the first place I've been where it's the dishes WITH gluten that are marked with a "g". EVERYTHING ELSE on the menu IS GLUTEN FREE! Many choices
Special family run place. You can never go wrong with the specials or fixed price menus. The mains are wonderful, but don't skip the superb salads & soups. Fantastic carry out also....fyi some nights it gets packed and tables go fast.
We really loved the food, very tasty and authentic. Tried the naan with hummus and the naan was so soft and just melting. The entrees were extremely tasty. The hosts were very polite and very accommodating to our request even though the kitchen was almost closed. Would surely recommend and visit if
