Tumbi - Santa Monica - Photo album

Great service and friendly. Went on a weekday for dinner, was mostly empty. Very near to Santa Monica pier and Third street promenade if you can just take a stroll. Dropped one star just for the taste, although presentation was good, pictures attached. You can park at Santa Monica Place mall, first
I discovered this place in the Michelin guide and thought I would try this Indian that wasn’t run of the mill. Wow ! It’s been a couple years since my tastebuds exploded with so much joy for Indian food. Flavors are strong but are not overpowering, every dish could stand on its own and complemented
Hands-down the best Indian food in LA for me! Appetizers: Panipuris were crisp, fresh and the pani was just the right amount of tangy! The wada pav was soft, crunchy and the idle fries are a stroke of genius. The avocado bhelpuri are pretty dope! Never knew avocados would go that well with that spic
This is an amazing Indian food place. The quality of the ingredients is 5 star, cocktails on point, the flavors and dishes are authentic, vouched for by friends born and raised in India. We take all our out of town guests here because it’s a winner! It is a price point on par with the quality, so it
Situated right 5 minutes from Santa Monica Pier, tumbi is a very cool vibe. Ngl, it was more fancy that I excepted. We tried the bhelpuri, cheese dosa and channa batura. All of it tasted good. I’ll say it wasn’t extraordinary but definitely a good meal. The ambience in the restaurant was lovely and
Great staff, courteous, and fast service. Food is amazing, lots of choices including fusion options. Outdoor seating available with heat ( if needed). Portions are small, but very good.
Something for everyone! Started with an interesting non-alcoholic drink that had a spicy surprise. The avocado dish was wonderfully seasoned and light. The coconut shavings were so fresh we had to ask to confirm it was coconut. This is one of the best tasting vegan dishes I have ever had! The aprico
A must place to visit whenever we are in downtown Santa Monica. The cheese dosa was good, although my husband expected it to have paneer (as it said on the menu) but he still liked it. I love palak paneer and glad that there was a side dish of it. It tasted really good, fresh and not super creamy.
Had the pleasure of dining here last night. The service was amazing! A lot of attention to detail by both the wait staff and the bus staff that brings you the excellent food . The butter chicken was the outstanding dish in my opinion. The naan and the dosa were as good as any I’ve had in India. Th
Good, authentic Indian restaurant. It adds a modern sense of sauce, plating, etc. to traditional foods.
What a great place! Indian food with a modern twist. Very creative menu, wonderful flavors and great service. You can order several plates, share them with friends, mix & match dishes together.
We went for dinner on a Friday evening. The food was delicious, particularly the classic dosa. The spicing for the sambal and chutney was very good. When we arrived the service was a little frosty, once seated, the service was good and the staff friendly. Hope to return soon.
