Authentic Japanese food items plus a touch of personality of its own makes their menu awesome and unique.

Love it here. I have been addicted to Takuma!. I have practically tried almost the whole menu. It is consistently very good.
manilla clams in garlic broth with mushrooms, scallop risotto, tempura shrimp, tableside blow torched mackeral, stir fry pork with kimchee.... lots of deliciousness here..
This place is my favorite Japanese restaurant- the food, service, & vibe is completely original. It is like going into a neighborhood cheers- intimate & friendly. Incredible authentic taste- both fresh, simple, & w/Taku twist. We come here multiple times a week.

Amazing staff. Tasty sushi. Great service! Highly recommend the salmon hand roll and salmon sashimi. Those were our favorite items! Gyoza was solid. Eggplant dish was good, but we anticipated it being warm/hot dish…just a heads up it is a cold dish! We also ordered the cooked salmon plate…that was not our favorite item, but it was solid. Would recommend exploring their unique menu. Limited outdoor seating (dog friendly), beautiful and plenty of indoor seating. Parking street side or north of Wilshire. Hope to be back soon!!
Delicious fresh fish. Tried chicken karage, sashimi, and spicy tuna dip. All delicious. Japanese fare with a unique twist. Good service.
I really enjoyed my meal here! I loved the seared mackerel. The chicken was just ok though in my opinion. There was no sauce on the side and it was a little lackluster bc of that. Looking forward to coming back and trying more of the menu!
Small, Izakaya with interesting and reasonably priced Japanese share plate style dishes. The server was fantastic, gracefully and efficiently serving the entire dining area by herself. It was packed. Not bad for a Tuesday night. Nice find!
OMG! Stopped by here because of the good reviews on Yelp. My favorite 💕 Japanese restaurant. My husband got the chicken curry, and it was very tasty, not too salty, and great curry flavor. I had the salmon bento 🍱 box. I was amazed by the details they put to arranging the different dishes and the salmon, the main protein, was spectacular. I wish this place was closer to where we live.
Good food but service was super slow even if the place had just a couple of tables with people

The portions compare to their prices are less though I will still give 5stars.
Best Bento Boxes! I get the miso salmon box and I’m addicted. They are always consistent with taste, quality, presentation, and amount of food. They give a good variety of sides in it and I just wish they would be open 24/7!
