My daughter and I went for dinner here for the first time. Not your typical Asian food but everything we ate was delicious. We started with the gyoza, which were steamed and very good. Then she had a seaweed salad and I had the Asian salad with ginger dressing and they both were really good. Then I had a snapper special which was amazing, not a ton of Asian feel, but so good . My daughter did a half order of chicken fried rice which was a huge portion and super tasty. Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable. We will definitely be back.

Wow! Food is so fresh. Everything we had was so well presented and mouth wateringly delish. Our server Fawn was amazing. Every single one of her recommendations was spot on. She was there when we needed her and timed all of our dishes to perfection. Our cocktails were great as well. Don’t miss out on dessert. I wanted all the sweets but we landed on coconut cake and it was divine. 👌🏼

Our favorite restaurant on 30A! We got the breakers combo and said it was the best meal we’ve ever had! We got the pupu platter as an appetizer and it was also amazing. The service is great and the ambience is nice, I love it

We had lunch. They were not very busy, so we were seated quickly. They close between 2:30 and 5 in between lunch and dinner. Servers were very friendly. Cutlery and chopsticks had nice table placement. They also only have 3 available sushi rolls during lunch so if your sushi fanatic you should come during dinner hours. The food was delicious. The Sashimi tuna that was in spicy tuna rolls was some of the freshest I've ever had and absolutely exquisite. The texture was melt-in-your-mouth in the flavor was extraordinary. Spring rolls were also exceptional. Obviously by the end of this you already know that I'm going to tell you that it would be a huge mistake for you to pass up the opportunity to try this establishment. Thanks for reading. 🙂

Adorable restaurant! Great atmosphere—romantic, but also good for families.
We ordered the spring roll and Jessie, our waiter, was so accommodating! He offered to do 1.5 orders so that there would be enough for our party of 5. The edamame was great too, and they put the spice on the side for the people in our party who can’t handle spice.
The Florida sushi roll was fresh and excellent. The vegetarian dish, chicken dish and salmon dish were all excellent as well. Next time, I would get another sushi roll instead of the half order of shrimp fried rice, but that was fine too.

Very fresh and tasty! We dined outside on the screen porch with a scenic view of woods and water. We chose Summer Rolls, the Basmati Salad and Vegetable Sushi, a great vegan meal. We left very satisfied and happy customers.

I have never written a restaurant review but felt compelled to do so after the outstanding meal that I just experienced. I had the Seafood Special Snapper. It was lightly breaded, cooked beyond perfection and placed on the freshest and most delicious sautéed vegetables. The Jasmine rice alone served with it was more than noteworthy. I cannot even begin to describe the delicate sauce that was on this dish. With the Gyoza Dumplings appetizer and the Spiced Banana Spring Roll with Ginger Ice cream for dessert, this easily became the best meal that I have ever had the pleasure of eating in my life. Highly recommend reservations but if you cannot it is more than worth any wait.

Ate here in December so I can't speak to the service in the summer, but our waiter was amazing. He had wonderful suggestions for us and was very attentive without being obtrusive. We felt spoiled. The food was wonderful as well. I had the snapper which I would definitely recommend. My boyfriend got the duck and it was even better, some of the best duck we've ever had. We thought the price was very reasonable for the quality. Definitely give it a try!

This is my second review of Basmati’s and I would give them six stars if I could. I have a “go to” sushi roll at home and they customized it for me here and it surpassed my expectations. The roll on the right is customized with steamed shrimp and cream cheese on the inside and salmon and lemon on the outside. The roll on the left is called “feeling frisky” and we asked to add cream cheese. BOTH OF THEM ARE DELICIOUS!

Ginger ice cream !? A friend of mine still dreams about it ! It’s a really lovely restaurant we dined inside but next time I want to sit on their covered deck. The ambiance is romantic and the food was great I chose the chefs choice vegetarian plate and it turned out great! They don’t have much of a bar if you are into that sort of thing.

This restaurant is in my top 3 in S. Walton. Have been coming here for yrs. The service is impeccable. The grouper and red fish sublime. The rice cooked perfectly. However my favorite is the duck! Only restaurant I know that serves this delicious meal. I also have to comment how the vegtables are always flavorful and never over cooked. Similarly the sauces are so flavorful , light , catered to each dish and appetizer.
Make a reservation and best news there is parking! I sat in the porch with over head fans comfortable and nice view. Ask not to sit in front of the door, busy.
You will enjoy your meal and think that your money was well spent.

One of the best restaurant experiences on 30A. I went back yesterday after an almost 20 year gap and it was just as good as I remember. Fresh and flavorful and the chocolate silken tofu pie is on my top 3 list for desserts ever. I would suggest most of the negative reviews are people that did not bother to make reservations and then somehow expected to be seated immediately. That’s not quite how it works!

The wait staff... so courteous! The Fish Cake Salad was delicious a d we had the Crispy Shrimp Roll was done well... rice was very tight, yet tender. Only Jasmine tea, No Oolong. We will definitely be back. Price were very reasonable for lunch! Thanks Basmati!!

Outstanding service and food. Highly recommend the fire cracker grouper!! The pork loin also exceptional. This is our fourth time coming here and we visit at least twice during our two week breaks in Santa Rosa.

Best Eats on 30A. Had dinner at Basmati's last night for the first time. My wife had the Red Curry Shrimp and I had the Panko Red Snapper. Both were excellent and the meal was the best we've ever had on the Panhandle. Our waiter Jesse was friendly, attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu. Service was not slow but don't go there in a hurry because the food isn't cooked until you order! The noise level permitted conversation across the table without shouting. My snapper was perfectly done and hot and my wife went on and on about how good the shrimp were. But they definitely save the best for last. You MUST try the Asian Bananas Foster with a scoop of ginger ice cream. It is simply fantastic. Basmati's is our new favorite.

My wife and I try and beat the crowds and go for early dinners with our two year old. We were told about Basmati's happy hour from 5-6 pm. This was incredible! They had half price apps, sushi, and beer. The staff was friendly and food was great.

Lovely on the Inside. Friends of mine took me here for lunch during my vacation to Florida. Very reasonable lunches but way over priced for supper. We ate outside and had a beautiful view of the Gulf. Food was O.K. but not really great. Great place to bring a date to impress your partner (very romantic atmosphere) as facility was well adorned. I found the Yum Tom soup to be watery and lacking that tang. My two friends found there meal very much to their liking.

Great Sushi !!!. Our dining experience at Basmati's was excellent. But what was a real standout was the sushi. We had as appetizers, the Truffled Tuna Roll and the Spicy Scallop Nigiri. Truly, Truly fantastic sushi.

Lunch is a Secret. The Lunch at Basmati's is wonderful..........Small reasonaably priced menu (with sushi on it) with a variety of freshly prepared food. I can eat here as cheaply as i can eat at a burger joint......If gluten is an issue for you as it is for me there are several things on the menu that are acceptable.......I eat lunch with them at least once a week and it is always good.... The deserts are wonderful also

Basmati's Asian Cuisine. I usually don't write reviews even though, my husband and I eat at finer restaurants regularly.<br/>We were on vacation with the family and really didn't know what to expect from any restaurant we were to try.<br/>Basmati's was a sweet surprise. They are tucked away in a cozy little neighborhood, but the food and service is at the fine dining quality we are used to eating. It tastes like the chinese favorites that you are grew up with, but fresher and most dishes with surprising twists. Enjoy!!!!

Zen in Santa Rosa Beach. Basmati is an oasis of a zen sanctuary near Santa Rosa beach. We dined during the sushi hour (incredible prices!). The food was fresh and experience wonderful. I liked the "New Age" music and the outdoor seating. My only negative comment is that the tables are too close together. I really did not enjoy listening to the rather loud patron who seemed to be delighted in the fact that other tables could hear his conversation. Suggestion - perhaps seat diners every other table until the restaurant fills up.
