Party of 34! For a Sunday night this place was very busy. No reservations are taken at this place but since we were such a large party we called ahead as both a courtesy & to ensure a group of our size could be accommodated. Patrick the manager also doubled as our host. He was so kind and upfront about the expectation of service. The wait staff were great. I cannot recall the name of the server for our table but she was so sweet! The food was pretty good considering they were closing within the hour of our seating time. There is also a bartender located right at the entrance which was a great touch for my family members đ€Ł. Overall it was a great experience & I would good back if I ever visit the area again!

Went here for supper tonight and is was great! We had a great waitress and a great time. Had raw oysters, and cheese curds for appetizers and everyone loved it. Oysters were cold and fresh and the kids loved the cheese. Main meal we had steak, Chicken Alfredo, Crab cakes, snow crab. All the dishes were hot and served promptly and tasted wonderful. The crab was cooked just right andsid out of the shell to perfection. The steak was cooked perfectly and the Alfredo was great. Had a Cucumber cooler mixed drink and my wife loved it. Small little Un assuming place but don't sleep on it, it's wonderful!

Wait staff was amazing but the food was ok. The red beans and rice were a total sleeper hit. I really wanted to like the brussels but they were mushy like they were over cooked or frozen. The boiled shrimp and drinks were great.

The Goatfeathers experience was a tremendous one. 9.8 outta 10
DRINKS: We started with the Strong Island Ice Teas to get the night started. They were very strong and tasty. I also recommend the mojito.
Service: KEVIN is highly recommended. The service he gave us was the highest quality. His recommendations were on point and you could tell he cares, which is hard to find in the service industry now a days. He did a good job spacing our appetizers out from our food. He was constantly checking in filling waters and even went as far as keeping my mother-in-laws wine glass full when she bought the bottle from the bar. He boxed our food in take home boxes as well. The Bartender Shauna was awesome as well. Patrick the GM truly cares about the establishment and it shows in the service of staff.
Food: The cooks did a great job ensuring everything was and stayed hot til the food got to our table. FOOD CAME VERY FAST, but it was a Wednesday night, so a weekend experience could vary. See photos for what we ordered. Everything was piping hot and very delicious. All the fish comes fresh from their market downstairs and you could tell it was probably caught the same day.
Get the BBQ Shrimp!!! It was our favorite appetizer. According to my kid, âthe Bread was bussin.â
Atmosphere: the constant water running down the windows was very cool. The establishment was not too loud and very welcoming.
Overall: Our whole family was happy with every aspect of our experience. HIGHLY recommended!!!

We came for lunch on a weekday, and barely anyone was there- I know it can get really crowded for dinner, but we had a large party, and they got us right in. Lunch prices are slightly lower, too, so Iâd recommend coming in the day! Our server, Lindsey, was friendly and fun, and efficient and just totally on point. Thereâs an art to being a good server, and she really nailed it.
We ordered the kidsâ meals first, and they came out really quickly. The kids were amazed that they were served on frisbees instead of plates! It was a cool souvenir for them to take home, as well. We got some fish, and my sister tried to get hers without hush puppies, but Lindsey said they were mandatory, and we were soooo glad we got them. They were the best hush puppies Iâve ever had. Fish was fresh and grilled nicely. We got asparagus and Brussels sprouts, and they had a really nice marinade that Iâll dream about for weeks. The cheesy grits were amazing as well.
Hubby and I got margaritas, and they were pretty weak and tiny, so Iâd say skip those, but the food here is great!

Donât be swayed by outward appearance. This place is awesome, from food to to the service .
Our server was superior (Gidian) was awesome.
Home felt environment, Family friendly.
Had the special, stuff lobster, oh my Goodness. Ask for the rumalade. You wonât be disappointed,
It was not cheap but not expensive. Great value and worth it.
Take the time and enjoy!

Itâs a seafood shop and smells really fishy inside. Made me wonder if it was fresh. Exhaust fans would certainly help. My friends wouldnât eat there because of the smell. Destin Ice House sells really fresh seafood for purchase and you never smell the fish.

Great pour from the bartender. Have here 3 time in a week.
The family always found something they like.
Me, oysters.
Thanks Patrick.

We came here for Happy Hour with friends on a rainy Saturday afternoon. Our server Micki was great! We ordered multiple platters of Oysters and Shrimp to share, as well as drinks. The prices for happy hour were great! Would definitely come back in the future!

So nice we ate there twice! Food is incredible, so fresh and tasty. The fried oysters are some of the best Iâve had, just sad there werenât more to my order. Patrick is a welcoming and friendly manager that spoke with us both visits. Service was great - loved Micki and Sarah. Excellent fresh seafood spot to check out when youâre in 30A.

First time here at Goatfeathers, and I'm blown away. Fresh caught mahi mahi. Slamming hushpuppies and parmesan new potatoes. Devoured the whole plate. Thank you Kevin for awesome service and great chats throughout the night. Definitely will visit again.

Our last night on the gulf coast and we find the best spot! The food is off the chain and the service is impeccable. The portions are filling and everything was delicious from the appetizer to the main course. No room for dessert so I canât comment on that.

The seafood is excellent but what brought us back a second time was the bread pudding! On the second visit, I did what I thought was a daring move...ordered steak. Turns out it was the best steak I ever had. We would have come back a third time if we weren't leaving the next day.

This meal was the highlight of our trip! We showed up for dinner at about 6 and were seated immediately. I loved how the windows had falling water from them since there wasn't a good view of anything. It added a lot of interest. Our waitress was THE BEST server I have ever encountered. She was prompt, attentive, and so honest! She recommended the best items on the menu and even stopped my friend from ordering the red beans and rice because she didn't like it. She went to the back and brought out a tasting cup for her to try and then offered a better suggestion for her meal choice. Wonderful service. Our drinks stayed full, the owner checked in on us, and we never waited on anything. The food was phenomenal. The biggest and best tasting scallops I have ever had! We also had the steamed seafood platter, fried fish and shrimp, grilled shrimp, hushpuppies, and grilled asparagus. All were delicious! 5 stars all around, will definitely recommend and return!

My husband and I had dinner here last night and as always, it was excellent! We had the BBQ shrimp appetizer and I had shrimp and grits, my husband had soft shell crabs! We brought a full to go box home! You can't beat the food, cocktails and service! Patrick is a great host/manager! He makes everyone feel like you are at home while you are there! You will not find a better place on 30A!

This place is iconic. It's extremely hard to get a table here during the season unless you arrive early. Otherwise, be prepared to wait. And for good reason. The food here is excellent. We were lucky enough to, not only get a table, but to get a table next to a waterfall window. The kids loved it. The service was excellent during our visit. Our food came out fast and was amazing. If they have the honey brussel sprouts on the menu, do yourself a favor and get them. So delicious. The cocktails are great, too. I highly recommend the Strong Island tea. The prices are higher here, but you're not gonna find better quality at too many other places in the area. This is a must for us each year.

Friendly and attentive staff, but seafood store below brings aâŠspecial odor lol.
The others I was with enjoyed their food but said it was not lithe best ever but still really good!!! I really enjoyed my vegan salad and felt very taken care of.

Our last dinner before heading out of town for the season. Goatfeathers was on my list of "must try". We loved the raw oysters and boiled shimp...YUM then shared the hearty fried fish platter. I'm not big on fried food but it was enjoyable (especially the shrimp). Finally Key Lime Pie for the finishing touch.
While the food was really good, it was Jennifer our waitress who really made the time special. Greeted with the warmest of smiles and introducing herself set the stage for us feeling at home. To us, food is more than the taste, it really means settling in, feeling at home and comfortable and Jennifer ensured we felt all of that. We will return because of HER. I hope all of the employees there generate the same warmth.

We've been coming to Goatfeathers for years to get the best seafood on 30A. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The hush puppies are the best in the world; I've been trying to recreate the recipe at home to no avail. The kid's menu is a favorite of the little ones. The ambience is a little divey, the wait times can be long since the place is on the smaller side, and some diners would want a waterfront view, but that is not the point of Goatfeathers. As I said before, THE BEST seafood on 30A - go there with an empty stomach!
