Was in town for a business trip and found this place after some research on the web. Turned out to be the best meal I’ve had for the trip. Sat on the counter but the waitress was attentive and helpful even though she was super busy. The Osso Buco was the Bomb! And finished the meal off nicely with their Cannoli. Highly Recommended.

What a wonderful place! The food was amazing and our waiter was the best! I had the Scampi with potatoes and squash. Everything was cooked perfectly! My husband and I are making this out new favorite place for our bdays and anniversaries!
My favorite place when in Santa Rosa . Wait staff and food is amazing! Highly recommend to anyone!
The service was excellent. The food was amazing. Our table of 6 shared many dishes family style and each one was delicious. We had a pasta dish, caprese salad, fish, veal chops, and more. All were well executed. The limoncello was heaven.
This rustic Italian restaurant is a Santa Rosa California gem. The wait staff speak and treat you like family, and the atmosphere adds to the family feel. The food is thoughtfully prepared from the appetizers to the main course, and dessert. This is my third time here and their salads are standard fare although made with high quality fresh ingredients. My latest trip I ordered their fig and prosciutto crustini appetizer and it was out of this world delicious. For the main course, I have ordered the lasagna, gnocchi, and pomparadel a la gaere (not sure of my spelling). The last dish was a wide pasta paired with a house made wild boar sausage in mushroom sauce. All three of their dishes were well prepared but the pomparadel was my favorite. I have had two of their desserts the classics tiramisu and cannoli. Both are made in house and the cannoli reminds you of home made desserts. All of their pastas are made in house and their use of high quality ingredients shines through. If you're a fan of Italian food Lococos is a must stop.
Great staff, great food. Will be back this week if it works out. They even fed the parking meter for the Model T.
First time at this great restaurant celebrating Valentines Day but also my 5th wedding anniversary. The food was divine, the service impeccable and the atmosphere was true Italian charm. Thank you so much for making this night special. Had a food coma to heaven. We'll be back can't wait to see you all again and try something new.
This place was great! My son wanted to come here for his birthday. He had the gnocchi and it was really good. I had the steak which was perfect. They all sang happy Birthday in a very entertaining way and the entire restaurant applauded and cheered. Fantastic experience.
I live in Italy and my dinner at Lococos was one of the best I have ever eaten....ohhhh the canolis...mamma mia
Easily some of the best Italian food I have ever had. The wait staff was phenomenal and the atmosphere was great! Will be back next time I am in Santa Rosa!!!
The best food, service and can’t say enough about the serenading around birthdays! 💕
Service was great, friendly & prompt. Had a petrale sole in a lemon butter sauce with capers, roasted potatoes & fresh green beans.
Excellent place for dinner with friends or family.
Love Love our server . So friendly very attentive to our needs. Five stars for sure💕
Overall the food was really good, except I didn't particularly enjoy my pasta. The burrata was so fresh and delicious (I still prefer the burrata at loro di napoli), they probably have the best caesar salad I've had, and the steak was perfectly cooked.
That being said, I don't think I'll come back here because everything seemed overpriced. The service was very very slow and made some mistakes that, while kinda comical, were disruptive to our experience.
Once again as a reminder I fly professionally as a corporate pilot.
So blessed is one of the best descriptions.
I have had Italian food from coast-to-coast and I have posted about some other very good Italian restaurants Chicago, Las Vegas, etc.
LoCocos, here in Santa Rosa, it is by far one of the best!!!
First of all, I had lasagna which was flawless. Much of the time lasagna served with way too much ricotta cheese, or the noodles are possibly burnt on the edges or not all the way done. And sometimes the sauce is not all that great.
The chef here nailed it! Not one thing wrong at all. Not only that but it wasn't until I was nearly finished that it dawned on me that the spices were a perfect mix! Yet you could sense on the pallet the different spices in the dish. Which was fairly amazing to me.
Secondly the wait staff was awesome! I was going to put forth our waitress that we had who was absolutely perfect in her service, her suggestions, and her knowledge of the menu was top notch.
But she has a boyfriend she said so I'll probably leave it like that! Haha!
That said, you need to ask for Jonnie the waiter! He told me that the lasagna served there was the best FROZEN Costco Kirkland served anywhere!
😂😂
Well that was one of the best comments I've had from a waiter in a very long time! This guy was hilarious and sharp as well.
I had a wonderful visit with the manager Luca, who is from Italy himself!! So he knows his way around Italian food!
If that's not enough to help you decide to dine here, you may want to know that this is a fairly popular haunt by iron chefs of Food Network fame.
I laughed even harder at Jonnie' "Costco Comment" because if one has watched Restaurant Impossible, with iron chef Robert Irvine, one would know right off the bat that you never ever ever serve anything that was frozen to begin with! Ever!
Well? As I understand it, and I saw the pictures to prove it, from Luca, that iron chef Irvine had dinner two nights in a row at this restaurant!! That is impressive to say the least!
If that's not enough Guy Fieri, has been to this restaurant on multiple occasions!
You're still reading this? And you are not on your way over there? Seriously?
You will need reservations and it is way worth the wait. My copilot and I actually sat at the bar. Which bypassed the reservations as we were short on time.
So go there and please tell them Mark the Pilot sent ya! Both Waiter Jonnie, and Manager Luca will get a kick out of it and so will you!
We came here for the first time ever for our anniversary. We were near a window seat which had flies buzzing around. The waiter was good , he had a sense of humor, but kinda talked loud. The brusetta and meatballs were excellent. We had lasange and risotto, and both of us were highly satisfied! Overall, this was an excellent experience, and we will visit again.
My wife and I were visiting California wine country, and in Santa Rosa we selected LoCoco’s Cucina Rustica for dinner – it was a wonderful choice! Tonight, we shared the appetizer special, a caprese salad with heirloom tomatoes – the tomatoes were perfectly ripe, juicy and delicious, and the mozzarella with roasted tomato and olive sauce were a great match. For entrees, my wife ordered the Spaghetti and Meatballs, but due to recent food allergies she asked to substitute cauliflower instead of pasta; our super-energetic and attentive server Roberto M. implemented her requests exactly, and my wife was completely satisfied with the delicious result. I ordered the special Linguini di Mare, which had perfectly cooked pasta, shrimp, squid, clams and salmon, smothered in an absolutely delicious marina-vodka sauce. This dinner was probably one of the best culinary experiences we had during our week-long California wine country trip. The restaurant atmosphere was animated Italian-spirit, prices were very reasonable for the excellent quality of food, and service was outstanding – thanks to our attentive server Roberto. Very highly recommended, especially when visiting California wine country. A MUST Visit!
Found this restaurant by chance looking for an upscale pasta and steak place for dinner for our anniversary. Located in quaint downtown Santa Rosa, we were pleasantly surprised with the locale, the restaurant, and amazed by the food. We were able to get a same day reservation on a Saturday in this small (maybe 12 tables on the main floor), but well kept, authentically decorated Italian restaurant. Unfortunately for us, our waiter was less than attentive while we witnessed other tables getting far better service from a waitress. Price was above average by comparison, but the quality and presentation of the food were well worth it.
We LOVED the food here. Best we've had in almost ever. We were seated upstairs. I'm sure the service here is usually good, but our server somehow didn't take a liking to us. I don't know if it's because we split one of the entrees or what. He was impatient with us while taking our order and just wasn't nice. We saw him being very gregarious and laughing with some of the other tables. It was apparent he likes to be the "star" of his own show. He practically threw the bill on our table at the end of the meal, and it wasn't until he came back to the table to run our cards (and get the tip) that he finally said it was a pleasure having us. We just couldn't figure out what we had done to make him mad. And our under-20% tips reflected our dissatisfaction. Sorry, Johnny, we won't be sitting upstairs at this restaurant in the future.
Outstanding!
Some of the best Italian I’ve had
A must try!
Food is good. I ordered spagetti with meatballs and my wife got the roasted chicken with potato. Wine taste good too. They Chef and waiter sang a happy birthday for my wife. They have wonderful voices in fairness. And they prepared a simple cake for my wife for free! There is a need for reservation but we were lucky that there was an available table for us.
great friendly service despite the staff being super busy. Our waitress was Emily...and she was great. Our waitress was genuinely kind and sincere. The food was fabulous...I had the tiramisu for desert which was really good.
Homey Italian spot right in the downtown area. It’s busy and lively which I loved. Make a reservation if you can. Tagliatelle was really tasty. Love a well textured pasta noodle and the sausage and mushrooms were great.
Wine pours are generous.
Amazing Italian spot right on Piedmont Ave. They have authentic Sicilian options, and everything was delicious & made with fresh ingredients. Their staff was friendly and helpful. They also sell beer, wine and other Italian products. Unfortunately they ran out of tiramisu - but now we have an excuse to go back ☺️
The service was very good and quick. Despite some previous reviews leaving the expectation for a long night - we took our time and were still in an out in about an hour. The food was delicious (ravioli reminded me of my Ma), the ambiance was the perfect blend of loud and crazy like you are at home with family, and romantic. My advise for a good time: make a reservation. Try to come early, like 5 or 530pm and get ahead of the dinner rush. This place gets PACKED. Embrace the chaos. Everyone is with their people and talking and laughing and its exactly the energy you need for a great meal. We will definitely come back when we are in the area.
Homey local joint with lots of laughters from crew to guests and vice versa. Felt good to be there, owner is also very welcoming towards us. Surprise performance from crew for every other birthday celebration at table was like a live soprano showtime. Very enjoyable!
Food portion was too big for us but min order of main course per pax was required, so in the end wasted quite a bit of food. Pastas were good.
Our visit was amazing, Oscar and Miguel both made sure that my wife's birthday was very memorable! We love our experiences here.
This Italian restaurant is one of, if not the best in Sonoma County and beyond for over 20 years.
You will be coming back time after time to try another one of their delicious main courses, salads or appetizers. Bon appetit..!!
Great find! Wonderful Italian/Sicilian cuisine in a nicely curated, busy restaurant. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Can't go wrong with the fresh cannolis for dessert!
