Great food, everything was so delicious 😋 We ordered Tostones Montaditos de Pollo appetizer and Pollo al Horno as our main dish. The appetizer was fantastic and plated beautifully. The Pollo al Horno was suggested by our server as you can see from the menu it's their signature dish and it was very good. I would like to go back but it would be hard to order anyting else although I'm sure all their dishes are delicious.

Been wanting some Mofongo, ordered ours with shrimp "prawns" and pork belly (Chicharrón’s to me). it came in a nice sofrito sauce. Loved it all, hit all the notes I was looking for. Their fried plantains are light and crisp, perfect. Their Pique de pina is a great flavor enhancer. Awesome staff. ❤️🙌🏼🙏🏻 Great experience. Get the coconut flan! 💥❤️🔥

I have never eaten this type of food before. It was delicious. It seems a little on the pricey side but I'm sure that the ingredients are expensive. I'm still not used to being told how much that I should leave for a tip.

Very cool little restaurant that we went to on a recommendation for the chicken ... and I'm passing the recommendation to you. Also, the dessert empanada with queso and guava was excellent. Well worth braving the dinner time traffic.

Absolutely love this restaurant, one of our top 5 favorites. They are great with my food allergies as well as I cannot have gluten or soy. We've never had any issues eating or drinking here. Love this location for a date, solo lunch, business lunch, or a ladies night. Highly recommend!

Always have loved this place. The food is great and very well priced. Parking is a breeze and very cheap. I always get the stuffed plantain dish and the bacon wrapped plantains — so good. The pique is addicting and they sell it as well. Stop here on your way to the coastline- you won’t be disappointed. They also have pasteles on Sunday only.

Drove up from SF bc my Puerto Rican friend said this is the best PR food, even compared to what's in SF. Bacon wrapped plantains were on point (hard to go wrong with fried, salty, and sweet)! The Mofongo was DELICIOUS, so full of flavor. I really enjoyed tasting the bits of crispy garlic. And the vegetarian canoa with half and half (red and black) beans and yellow rice was really good. Not as heavy as I thought it would be. The avocado "salad" accompaniment was meh (one small slice of avocado with red onions and mealy tomatoes), but the rest of the plate was good!

It's part of my culture and having this authentic experience reminds me of my home ❤️. Really thankful that there is a good Puerto Rican atmosphere near where I live that will make you come again and taste something delicious with a good quality. Bring your friends and they will thank you for this opportunity at El Coqui 🇵🇷!!!

I've been wanting to come eat here with my girlfriend Nancy for about 5 years. We finally made it and it's just as I remember it. The food here is so, so, so good. If you're in the area, don't miss it. I highly suggest the Chuleta's plate or the Pollo El Horno. I had the Chuleta's and I was having a very difficult time in not devouring everything on my plate and saving some for my lunch today. But I managed and I now get to relish again in the fabulous food from Elcoqui.

My first time here visiting with my friend. This was one of her sons favorite spots to eat. It did not disappointment. Dining area was clean and we were seated promptly. The staff was very helpful and kind. We ordered bacon wrapped sweet plantains and two chicken dishes: pollo Al horno & chicharrón de pollo. AMAZING!! served with Spanish rice, red beans and sweet plantains. Seasoned so perfectly wouldn’t change anything about it. I will definitely visit again and try something else. But you can’t go wrong with this place!!!

Pretty good food in a busy section of the city. Has a lot of places around it so there are other things to do. We went for lunch and only a few people were there. Food came out quickly and tasted pretty good. Got their cubano and their specialty chicken that has won local awards. The cubano was mediocre but quite large for the price. The chicken however was excellent and very flavorful and juicy. It didn’t seem like a lot of food but was very filling. Food could be a bit spicier. I liked it enough to recommend it for a quick bite to eat.

The food was great but definitely overpriced. Would come again but the price will probably have me think twice lol. 23 bucks for a steak sandwich was wildly crazy. The service I experience was good. Due to Covid I ate outside but the places looks nice. If the price were lower I can see this place being the spot to go all the time.

Delicious food! Very authentic. Nice variety on the menu. I was surprised the prices were so reasonable, especially with the amount of food on your plate! To go box was needed. 😁

Absolutely delicious and fresh food along with really great service. I ordered the Canoa Vegetariana and it was full of flavors, you get the sweet plaintain and the melted cheese with the beans and it’s actually a tasty combination. The avocado salad adds a nice touch as well. The Pique de Pina adds more flavor to your dish, don’t forget to add it! The rice was perfect and flavorful as well.Ordered a pitcher of sangria and it was just the right amount of sweetness. If I am ever in Santa Rosa again, I will make sure to stop by this place!
