I've been going to Mac's Deli since I was a toddler. The staff and owners are like family and I can't stay away! You can find me there two or three times a week at this point! Would recommend in a heartbeat.
Mac's has become our go to place for special occasion lunches with my Water Aerobics group from Parkpoint. There's a wide variety on the menu so even the picky eaters can find something yummy to eat. Service is always great, even with our large groups. Prices are reasonable and the food is excellent.
This is my favorite place to have breakfast in Santa Rosa and they serve breakfast til after noon. Great family spot where everybody seems to know you and treat you like family. The only place outside my kitchen to eat corned beef hash. They make perfect omelettes and really good coffee. If I'm going out to breakfast this is my spot. Love.
My go-to place when I want a great salad and/or sandwich. The best chef salad I've ever had. All of their green salad plates include a myriad of vegs & beans before they add shrimp or meats/cheeses or.... They roast their own turkey. Several choices of 1/2 sand/salad for about $7. My fav pastrami place, patty melt, etc, etc. Park 3rd St. lot directly behind Mac's. directly next door to my fav gift shop - Positively 4th Street.
Great food and service. Been a customer for a good 12 years and never once a bad meal. Recommend the hot Corn Beef Sandwich with 3 Bean Salad.
Finally got to dine here after moving to Santa Rosa recently. I hope this place stays forever as it is your quintessential local neighborhood type of diner.
I am growing tired of old fashioned restaurants being closed down only to have fancy, expensive, NOT filling places take their place. Tradition is important, and Mac's makes you feel like your at home. We will definitely take any family/friends there who come in town for a visit. Bravo!
I'm from Sacramento and I've been to Santa Rosa a few times for business and Mac's was recommended to me by some women at the Sonoma County Environmental Health office on 5th St.! And I was welcomed with such hospitality and smiles and the food was great! And then on a return visit I went out of my way to come back to Mac's and the owner and his wife both recognized me and I had the best eggs benedict !! Thanks guys for such an inviting feel!

We've known the Soltani's since 2001 right after moving there from San Antonio. Iraj first met my Stepdad by chance in Petaluma. Then right after starting my freshman year at Windsor High School, Iraj came over to meet my Grandma Millerick and most of the family. Everybody loved him and loves his family. Great people. The friendship between our families is the same as the friendship that family holds with the rest of the community. Mac's Deli is an extension of them and their values within Sonoma County. I left Sonoma County and California in 2009, but I visit every chance I get. I got classmates from Windsor High who go there all the time. The food they dish up is great. I've had breakfast there a few times and the home feel to it is unmatched. My last visit there was done very quietly in October 2016, and I stopped in right quick. Still the same atmosphere as it's always been, and I hope that never changes. I miss the handshakes from Iraj, which is the only drawback. I recommend this place to anyone, local like I used to be or from out of town like I now am. Thank you for all you do for Sonoma County and those the Soltani's have impacted.

Our family found this place when we first moved to Sonoma County, over 25 years ago. So family friendly. A go to staple for us. Clean, friendly, good food.
The food was great? The location was ideal. And the staff was superb. Don't miss it if you are in Santa Rosa CA.
Went in thinking it was a sandwhich shop. You can choose breakfast a sandwich salads or hamburgers. Great service great omelet and it's quite peaceful with the BIG tree growing in the middle. Will be back soon.

I finally got around to trying this Downtown Santa Rosa institution and I'm so happy I did. The food (pastrami with swiss sandwich) was absolutely delicious. Definitely my new favorite version of this sandwich. The man helping me was super friendly and courteous. And I really like the atmosphere even though I was getting take out. I'm looking forward to going back to Mac's more regularly and coming in to enjoy dining in as well. Also, thank you for your sponsorship of Red Peloton bike racing team of which I'm a member.
As I entered I was quickly greeted and sat and a neatly set table, the waitress was very kind and quickly brought us drinks. Our food came in a very timely manner and it’s was cooked WELL. I’m a big fan of corned beef for breakfast so I like to try it everywhere. You can tell it’s cooked fresh here and not from a can. As we were eating she was attentive and brought us the check before we were done. The reason I mention this is because I love being able to pay prior to being finished eating. I think it’s so convenient to be done with the bill and then be able to just get up and go versus waiting around for the bill. I really enjoyed this restaurant and I think the run it very well.
Truly an institution. Family owned and run. Wonderful pastrami and Swiss #2.

Great place for breakfast, the service was awesome. The portions are big. The flavor is on point. The hash Browns were well cooked and the eggs Benedict sauce was really good.
My mom and I went here today for breakfast. It was so good! We both had yummy omelettes. I had a veggie one with ham added and she had the spinach, cheese one. Definitely going back
We had a very tasty lunch 😋! I enjoyed the Turkey Noodle Soup and Pastrami sandwich. It's very fresh and delicious. Ordered the Club Sandwich meal also Bacon Cheeseburger with Onion Rings. Both were fresh and flavourful! We'll definitely be back to try the breakfast menu.

His sandwich was huge and the waffle was so tasty I even took some home! The girls up front were so nice and helpful because we didn't know what was good and they had amazing suggestions. Will be coming here again!
Seriously, the best pastrami sandwich in California is here at Mac's in downtown Santa Rosa. Very friendly, efficient service and Mac's does both dine in and take away service.
The menu is quite diverse. But oh my, that pastrami sandwich (I'd recommend having it steamed)! A hidden gem - walkable from Railroad Square and the SMART train station. WOW.
A real family owned cafe. Great menu and friendly efficient service plus good food. And I LOVE that they show local artwork on the walls!!! I always support businesses that support artists.
