Amazing Mexican food! Everything is delicious! The carne asada fries are super yummy!!! The drinks are great too! The Cantarito drink is my favorite-- served in a clay mug!
The atmosphere is quaint. This is less like a chain restaurant and more like a neighborhood hang out. The food I very good and always fresh. Service is friendly and timely. I always enjoy eating here. Try the burito supreme! It's sooooo yummy!!!
The food was sooooo good traditional Mexican at its finest!! Highly recommend coming here for a good mean and great margarita!
Authentic Mexican food. Great place to dine, clean restaurant, great service and decent prices. They have multiple salsa all with great flavor. They make their own chips and tortillas. On the weekends they offer menudo and pozole. They even serve breakfast. We will definitely be back.

Original review: I've probably gotten takeout from El Charro for my son and I 10 times in the past few months. Their food is very good and it is convenient. I typically do online ordering including making payment. Even though I literally just walk in to get my food, I still tip. Had a very frustrating experience tonight which will make me reconsider how frequently or if I visit again. I placed an online order and paid for a supreme burrito with no tortilla and supreme nachos. I could see that there was only one small bag of chips so asked for a second bag. Nachos can get soggy so it's nice for my son to have some fresh chips, and I like chips too. I asked for a second bag of chips and was told, "no, sorry." What???? Incredulous, I kindly repeated the request saying, shouldn't there be two bags of chips given that there are two meals? She said no again. I mean they saved the cost of my tortilla and they can't provide a small freaking bag of chips? What poor customer service to a regular. There are plenty of other great taquerias around. Might just have to drive a bit farther.
This place is the bomb diggity. I needed a cup of coffee and a big meal, this place delivered. Tasty burrito and salsa. Super warm and charming staff. I'm heading back next time I am in Santa Rosa!
Been eating here for years. Used to bring my Mother in, too, as there is ample room for a wheelchair or walker. Food has always been good. Staff have always been pleasant. Never have had any problems with the food. It's our "favourite" place for Mexican food. Sometimes, in the summer, when the tomatoes are freshly picked, the Ranchera sauce is so good that you want to get a second helping. Next summer, if I remember, I plan on asking for some sauce "on the side" so that I might take it home and freeze it!
We had a wonderful dinner. Our waitress was so sweet and smiley. We love it.

We love El Charro's! From the moment you walk in, you are a regular. The chips and salsa is fresh and delicious, service is fast and friendly and the food is so fresh and yummy! I am a huge fish taco fan and theirs do not disappoint!!! We live nearby and love always having our go-to place!! Gracias El Charro!!!

This is our go to Mexican restaurant. Large portions so we always split a #50 with a side of flour tortillas. The girls know our faces and just ask US before we order "Would you like the #50"?
We are an older couple so don't need to eat that much...plus saves on the take home container. #50 is like a sampler plate.
Great Mom and Pop place... those kind we like to support. I would have only given it 5 stars... it gets really busy ALREADY and I'm being selfish ...... I DON'T want there to BE a line or HAVE to wait.... when now you can just walk in and sit ANYWHERE. I've never seen an advertisement for THIS place. Seems word of mouth works VERY WELL.
I know WE do our share. My daughter introduced us to this place ...and every time she's BACK in town we take her there. You'll want to take your friends and family also. BUT go early for dinner ...it fills up fast. They also have take out. ENJOY!!
Love the food. Fair prices for the quality & amount of food. Service is occassionally a little lacking. Very nice people, but it seems sometimes they forget basics like checking in on tables after food is served, refilling water, giving the check. Went in on my lunch break once and it was a little stressful in that respect.
The place is small and gets packed and loud & awkward sometimes but that speaks to the quality of food. Anyone with a hearing aid may have a tough time here for dinner, though.
I often order to-go here and they have never gotten my order wrong. Sometimes their phone doesn't work for whatever reason, so heads up on that.

Food was delicious. Staff on the ball with orders. We have been there twice now and we will be back it is now our favorite Mexican place to eat and we will bring our friends. Only 2 minor things I didn't like #1-no southern comfort (Your sign says full bar) #2- the floor needed to be swept. I will still bring my friends ✌💟
Flavors are on point. Margaritas tasty! I was impressed! Had shredded beef taco combo, and shrimp burrito was very flavorful! Great job. Highly recommended. I will return, especially for the margaritas! Olé
