The hours we saw online were wrong (they open at 3), so we ended up arriving a little early. Even so, as we were in the car looking for somewhere else to go, the owner opened up early and invited us in. The menu is expansive (something like 100 different items, which can be broken down to maybe 35 items when you don't differentiate the meat), so I asked what he recommended, and I went with the Mongolian Beef. As I sat waiting, I looked around. The seats were comfortable, the ambiance was nice, and there was even a bit of a view of the charred Sonoma County hills.
The serving size was quite large. The Mongolian Beef was delicious with a tiny kick. Others at my table got the lemon chicken and lemon chow mein, which I found good, but not great. The final dish we got was Ma Po Tofu, which also had a bit of a kick, and was personally my favorite dish (when paired with brown rice). The serving sizes were all too much, and I'm happy to inform that the food tasted just fine leftover.
By the way, I can't imagine the city of Oakmont EVER gets enough people to fill up that parking lot. So much parking, and an easy location to get to off the highway.
Great experience. Will be back. I must try the chicken broccoli.
While visiting family at Oakmont we stopped in to have a meal , we ordered Egg Foo young, Sweet and Sour Pork and Kung Po Chicken. Every dish was fresh and so darn good, the staff very attentive , friendly, and the prices very reasonable. Next trip down I’ll be stopping in again for my favorite dish Egg Foo Young.
Everything was excellent! We arrived early and they opened the place for our family. Very friendly and delicious food. Highly recommend the restaurant!
Mei-Don came to my rescue!
I have been very ill for several days and had zero appetite. Today, I woke up craving Chow Mein and vegetables.

This is the best low-brow Chinese place left in Santa Rosa, I think. If you have an occasion to be near sleepy little Oakmont, this place is a refreshing break from the eye-wateringly expensive restaurants in Kenwood or Glen Ellen. The $10.99 lunch special is a great deal and so much food!
The bathrooms were very clean and the atmosphere is nice and clean as well.
the food was wonderful! We had a variety of things. The walnut shrimp was to die for, lightly breaded and crispy and weren’t drenched in oil. The spicy egg plant was on point. The chicken and vegetables was oh so garlicky and fresh! And don’t get me started on their War Won Ton soup, simple, filling and delicious. You can tell they take pride in their restaurant, very cleanly and very kind staff, welcoming me and kindly seeing me out with well wishes. 😍 I will be coming here from now on for my Chinese food fix! Thank you so much 😊
Food was very fresh and good tasting. The staff was friendly and efficient. The food was brought out piping hot. Overall, I would certainly eat at Mei Don again.

Ordered online for a take out dinner. Food was ready as indicated on the ordering website. Staff was very nice and friendly. I ordered several items, all of which were delightful esp the spicy hot crispy shrimp! Great meal!!
A good little Chinese joint, under new management, that is only about a 5 minute walk from my girlfriend's house. Good food, done well. The Sizzling Rice Soup was really, really, good. We had the Almond Chicken and also the Fresh Spring Rolls. The cook here, doesn't overcook the veggies at all, which was great. This place is almost going to replace our own kitchen, I can tell. Food this good and this convenient, is a Win/Win situation all the way around! I highly recommend this place.
Pretty good Chinese food and my inlaws favorite place to have a family meal out. Last time I tried the Szechuan Beef and Prawns with Eggplant. Both were delicious.
The food was great and came hot to the table. Sizzling soup broth was flavorful. Waitresses very friendly but service a bit slow. We will go again!
This is the best Chinese restaurant in Santa Rosa! Every time when my family and I were visiting Graton Casino, we would drive here to have lunch or dinner. The food and services here are excellent! Highly recommended!
