Baan Thai Restaurant Was excellent. I had vegetarian Pad Thai with tofu tonight 6/1/2023. The new owner Baan is friendly and welcoming. They really spruced up the seating area and dinner was authentic & delicious. Highly recommend.

Forever on the search for the best Thai in Santa Rosa, this might come pretty close. Their Pad See Eew is delicious. The noodles are tender (always what I critique first, and the most), the chicken is also. I don't love how many bell peppers are included, but I can pluck them out. I've gotten the Pad Thai once or twice, but that can't live up to my favorite, in San Rafael. However, Baan Thai has Tom Kha Gai to die for. It is so delicious I don't even know how to describe it. Remember when foodgasm was a thing? The Tom Kha brought it back for me. I got a lunch special Pad See Eew, and a side of Tom Kha came with it. I was making so much noise as I ate it, Boyfriend thought something was wrong. If you haven't tried it, do yourself a favor and try it. You won't regret it.

We tried their food again, because they have new management 5/23. The food was great and the staff, friendly.. We have been twice in last month.. and will continue to support them.
Very good. I had the drunken noodles. Vegies were tender crisp, served hot off the wok. The price was reasonable. Service was quick. I will come back.

Wow! First time ordering from here last night and we were impressed! Food was fresh and delicious and on point with flavors described on the menu. Servings were generous and great value. My husband picked this place which is usually 20 - 30 minutes from home BUT the DoorDash delivery arrived quickly and the food was still so hot!! This is now our Thai go-to place :-)
this was the ABSOLUTELY of the BEST pad thai dishes I have ever eaten in sonoma county, and in general and FYI i grew up eating and still do eat thai quite often ( just look at my other reviews). I can understand why other people rate this restaurant low- if you want to eat out for an "experience" this may not be the place, it is small, dim, hot and the adorable little old lady who took my order does not speak fluent English.. BUT WHOTF CARES!? it's the food, it's all about the food, and has always been about the food when i rate a restaurant (unless the staff are rude or place is gross[luncheon]). now I have only eaten the one dish here but I would bet the farm it's all as good, and it came with a splash of tom kha kai (coconut milk soup) that wasnt too sweet (for once) & was D lish, with broccoli? yum. get it to go, and leave a nice tip. the grandmom & pop will appreciate your business and cook you a wonderful meal.
Absolutely loved it. The food comes in three spices. Mild, medium, and hot. The prices are decent nothing too crazy. The only downside is the food doesn't come in the best portions. I recommend ordering extra rice to make sure you get your fill.
I will meet my wife there for lunch now and then since it is the closest Thai near Windsor. It is pretty good for lunch and is a little bit different regional Thai than others in the SR area. I have ordered various items that I haven't had at either Thai House or Thai Pot. I haven't been there for dinner, but the lunch special menu is just right. But I will say that it did change somewhat from when it was sold a year or so back and they got a different cook.
Great food! Their soups are some of the best I have had, can't go wrong. I have eaten there as well as taken soup to go. You have to try the Tom Yum soup, we do it with just vegetables.
I've been eating here for years and happy to see they are still open and great as ever! Chicken Satay and Pad Thai are the best, but the green and red curries are also worth a taste.
Under new mgmt and this place is delicious! Also, good prices. Will be frequenting now.
