Very nice surprise. We recently tried Cumin after already enjoying two Indian/Nepalese restaurants nearby. The tastes here were wonderfully different from what we've had elsewhere. Service was good and parking was plentiful. We will return. It's only a couple of miles from home.
Truly a hidden Gem indeed!! ♡ Banod, one of the owners and an amazing server is highly knowledgeable, very kind, and fun to converse with:) The food is impeccable ♡ Tasteful, they hit the spice perfectly and they cater to the Vegans ! Woot woot ! Great big menu with food for all the foodies to eat. Definitely a place to try over and over again :) my new favorite spot in town! Great place for a date with yourself and your loved ones ♡
Favorite appetizer is the veggie memo, the Lentil soup. Favorite dish is the veggie curry, or lentil dish with garlic naan and rice ♡
Thank you for being here ♡
The food was proper Indian style and incredibly tasty.
We were a group of 5 friends and we ordered a lot of food as we were very hungry. The service was swift and cordial.
We also ordered gulab jamun and rice pudding for desserts. No where in California I have eaten proper authentic North India desserts like this.
10/10 Recommend.
We landed in SFO at 7.30 and post picking up rental, we called up Cumin at 9 PM...ordered food on call and picked up at 9.59 PM. They close at 10 :-). Felt great that they were waiting for us with ready hot food. We picked it up and post checking at our hotel...enjoyed the same. The food was delicious and had the right taste expected of Butter Chicken and Goat Kadhai. I would surely recommend this place for Indian food.
First time for me to have food from Cumin. It was my son's request as he has enjoyed it with his girlfriend multiple times. He had the Butter Chicken with garlic naan and I had the Chicken Saag with spinach naan. The flavors and textures of everything were just lovely. I had never tried spinach naan but it may have actually been my favorite part of the meal! It was freaking delicious, ha!
This place is in a strip mall with not many other businesses open in the evening so plenty of parking. They have ample space for indoor dining plus a patio with 4 tables for outdoor dining. We started with the mango lassi which is one of the best lassis I have ever had - not watered down like at other places. We started with the samosas (potato & peas fried fritters), then continued onto the saag paneer (greens with farmers cheese), aloo jeera (potato with cumin seeds), chicken tikka (chicken marinated in yogurt and spices), butter chicken (marinated chicken cooked in a butter tomato sauce) and naan (flatbreads). Everything was delicious but note that they do not include rice with the curry/saucy dishes. Shout out to Shriya, our server, who was friendly, attentive, and entertaining!
First time at this restaurant today and it won't be the last! Food is delicious and the service is great. Butter chicken curry is amazing!
Excellent food. The owner is very nice. The best thing is that this restaurant delivers food until 10pm on most nights. You can come sit down to eat as late as 9pm.
Loved this little gem! Lamb Korma and Samosas were amazing and the server was the nicest guy ever! Best Indian food we have had in a very long time. Dining room is simple but nice. Try it and you will fall in love!
Truly a hidden gem! The food was amazing and it's a great place to enjoy a private meal with your love or the whole family. The heat scale for the dishes range from 1-5, be careful because 5 is truly spicy! Lol They have so many delicious flavored naan I ordered all of them just to taste them. My family truly enjoyed ourselves, the service was attentive the atmosphere relaxed and they never get too busy. That's why it's a hidden gem. This is the best Indian cuisine I have tasted in Santa Rosa, ever!
I ordered momos because I missed homemade momos, it was delicious and the service was amazing. They were very friendly and took great care of me. The momos were very juicy and the sauce was was also delicious.
Up there as possibly best Indian food I’ve had. I live in Sebastopol and it makes me bummed to have to settle for anything other than this place, when I’m not wanting to drive to Rosa. It’s seriously amazing in every way, hits the spot every time
I tried vegetarian food here and it was exceptionally good. I had food in many other restaurants but I would consider this as one of the best I ever had.
I have been frequenting Cumin over the past few months, tonight must have been my 15th time coming. I really won’t go anywhere else at this point because of how good the food is here! The chicken tandoori has got to be some of the most flavorful chicken I’ve had and the presentation of the hot plate when it comes out is spectacular. The garlic naan is some of the best I’ve had too! Definitely give this small family owned spot a try you won’t regret it!
Nice place with friendly owners and server. Coconut chicken and garlic naan was tasty, as well as the mango lassie. Highly recommended!
Food was fantastic! I’ve been to a lot of indian restaurants, and some aren’t good, but this place has distinct flavors and great naan. The staff was friendly and attentive, would definitely come again! Has a good ambiance inside the restaurant too
Out of all the nearby Indian restaurants, their Butter Chicken is without a doubt the very best. Not only that but out of all the nearby Indian restaurants their Naan bread has the best texture and flavor.
Just wow. As soon as we walked in a very kind waiter sat us down and we looked at the menus. So many choices! We got the Chicken Tikka Masala which had a lot of butter and a really great flavor. Amazing food and service, definitely recommend!
