We were passing through this town on our drive from Florida to New York and stopped for some breakfast. The staff were so pleasant and made us feel extremely welcome. They were very attentive, took our order straight away and the food came quickly after. Food was cooked perfectly and tasted lovely. This was our first time at Waffle House and they made it a great experience, thank you!
Definitely a better waffle house than most. The only issue I have had is that the staff just decides when they want to take to go orders but sometimes they wont take to go orders and will only allow people to dine in even if they have to go plates and such. They are abusing the pandemic excuses and honestly those excuses have run out. It's definitely one of the cleaner ones and they get the food out quick, but they need to answer the phone and take to go orders. Most waffle houses only have 2-5 ppl working at a time, so they aren't understaffed. They are just consistently using the pandemic excuses unfortunately.
I was in Santee for a visit and stopped in for breakfast on my way out of town. This was a very different WH the Grits were creamy, my eggs were over med with the yoke soft, and my chicken pattie was not dry. The atmosphere was pleasant. My waitress Alesa was great. She said the morning crew was the best. So if you are in town on a Sunday morning stop in for a great meal. Just don't stay at the Baymont.
Just your average Waffle House. The same as it always has been, and always will be. They have most of the restaurant gated off because of covid but still a few seats to sit in.
