The real deal here, this place serves up only the best!! I’ve tried just about everything and it SO reminds me of NY Italian deli!! My favorite is the “Tony Soprano” sandwich!!! I’d give a hundred stars if I could!! If your in the area you must stop in!!!
I have been here numerous times before and yesterday didn’t disappoint! I love the sandwiches and the atmosphere. I had my first sfogliatelle and it was awesome! It was very busy given that it was around lunch time but I definitely didn’t mind the wait because the food is always worth it. I will always come back for more.
Delicious cornucopia of Italian treats. A great deli. I highly recommend the Chicken Parm Sandwich, but everything is good. They closed their old location and it was a little bit of time before they opened their new shop a couple blocks over. I remember pulling up to the old store front and staring with disbelief and sadness at the bare shelves. I did the happy dance when I saw that they had re-opened. A great place to buy a huge can of San Marzano tomatoes as well.
Tried a combo (meatball/sausage) sub today. Meatballs were delicious and while I like my sausage a little spicier and with fennel, I thought this was pretty good. It's hard for Italians to eat other Italian's food sometimes, but I loved this sub and in particular, the excellent sauce! Also had a little end of the day treat (thanks Josephine!) Can't wait for my next visit!
I have only been there once, I had a chicken parmesan sandwich and it was so very good. Cannot wait to go back and try different things. I would definitely recommend trying this deli out, you will get hooked!
I moved to Gulf Gate 4 days ago and wanted some sandwiches. I have no idea how I ended up trying this place with all the close by choices but holy moly! Absolutely fantastic. We got the Frank Sinatra and the St. Giacomino and were absolutely blown away. At around $10 each they seem a little pricey but they are big enough to fill you twice. Great value. This will definately be one of my go-to's and I cant wait to try the pizza.
My mom lives in Sarasota, so now every visit includes a trip to Piccolo. Amazing place, The Pizza is among the best I've ever had and I grew up in New York. Everything looks great, The italian meats are great, we picked up 2 pieces of hot sausage this time. The subs looked stuffed with meat too. DON'T miss this place!

Perfect meat/cheese/bread ratio on the sandwich 100% amazing. We loved the fried calamari as well and served with fresh marinara. We will be back soon!

I was raised in an Italian restaurant in Connecticut. Nothing has ever come close to the food my Italian grandma made until now. The owners are friendly and authentic, the food is delicious and the prices are out of this world affordable. Yummy!
5 stars doesn't even come close to rating this establishment. The food, hospitality, atmosphere and owners deserve 100+ stars. My family and I will be back again and again. I highly highly recommend this place. If you Haven't been here yet and your looking at their FB or maybe the website, STOP AND JUST GO THERE. I promise you will be glade you did.
wow what can I say about Josephine, the owner , Alex and her sister Victoria. Josephine the owner with her husband Antonio make the best italian Hoagies on the west coast of florida. Oh not only are the hoagies awesome but thier Italian meals made to order are just like moms at home. Josephine and her husband talked to us by our first names and made us feel like family. sorry to have to go back home to south jersey and the cold weather, cant wait until next year God willing so I can come back to this awesome home prepared meals...
What a great find! Cute little place, that has a lot of your Italian favorites. I was happy to hear that around the holidays they carry Italian holiday favorites. Had one of their hot subs ... it was very good. Great friendly & helpful.
Phenomenal, quaint little Italian Deli and Diner. I love the old school way on how they package the meats. I purched Roast Beef and some Turkey.. yummy yummy. And of course the Cannolis. 😋😋 Can't wait to go back
When traveling, anytime I can find an authentic Italian deli I feel right at home. Piccolos is in a little strip on the south end of Sarasota and is about as real deal as you can get. Lots of freshly made Italian treats. They put together a nice charcuterie for me to take back to our rental to enjoy. The prices are very fair for the quality you get and the staff very friendly and helpful. Grazie!

This place looks great! Need to come back here and actually give the food a try but I did take a bunch of photos to show people items available for sale! They have canned cherry tomatoes!!! Lots of imported items. Frozen fresh pasta. The salami and sausage look amazing!!!! Coming back soon!!!
