Fabulous funky and fun place to get great food. Don’t expect to come in and get a beef or chicken taco. Look for the vegan chorizo or the masa-dusted cauliflower instead to make your mouth sing. It can be customized to your heat and tastes or built just as the goat intended. I think the true meaning behind the name should be that it is screaming about being the greatest of all times. Well at least in this little area for Latin flavor with a twist.
We had them cater our meeting today the food was super delicious and fresh. The owners are very friendly would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. It's hard to find great Fresh Mexican food the screaming goat knocks it out of the park!
Got tacos to go for the first time. Everyone was so friendly and the place was adorable. We got a chicken bowl and a barbacoa and pork taco each. (My fiancée and I). We got home and were amazed! We are foodies and this was such a great place all around! Everything was fresh, loaded, and just perfect. So excited to go back! Oh and all the sauces are amazing too! We tried the 5 out of 6.
Finally made it over here after having several friends recommend. I was thrilled to not only see vegan options front and center but also to have the chef ask the person in front of me if she was vegan or vegetarian when she requested help selecting toppings on her vegan chorizo bowl. This gives me great confidence that they understand the difference (which is strangely not a given even in fine dining establishments). The owner was so friendly and conscientious - you can really tell when someone is passionate about their business. I'll be back and sharing!
Fantastic street tacos! I especially loved the Korean BBQ short rib taco, but I also had the chicken and barbacoa beef (made as the menu suggests) and they were all excellent. My wife had the quinoa, lentil and sweet potato in a burrito and it, too, was excellent. The staff is warm and friendly and I will definitely be returning and suggesting The Screaming Goat to friends.
I've probably been here 20 times since they opened. Not a negative thing to say. The food is fantastic! Flavorful, well thought out, high quality and unique with the BEST service. Its obvious a REAL chef owns the place, not just somebody slapping together tacos. What an amazing addition to the neighborhood and my new favorite place in Gulf Gate. Thanks Malin!

Proteins and sides had great flavors. You could tell how fresh everything was. It’s hard to get good food in SRQ regardless of price point.

This place is fantastic. Seriously needs a feature on Diners, Drive In’s and Dives. The food is exceptional and original. (I would love Shrimp/Fish as an option). Their take on Kim Chi is yummy. I’ll be back again and again and I’ll take friends. We gotta show the love in this town for the stuff we like.

I got three tacos, one made with each of the vegetarian bases, and they were all delicious. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the place seemed very clean. Overall, an excellent experience!

This is a true blue hole in the wall find you'll want to keep to yourself! First the decor is fantastic and makes the entire visit a visual delight. The 2 taco special is a perfect way to get acquainted with the mouth watering craft gourmet tacos. Ask for a salsa sampler...trust me on this. Always a busy place here, clean, cramped parking but worth it! Be sure to ask for a stamp card, you'll be glad you did as you'll see your return visits here are frequent. You will not see tacos the same after you try this hidden gem out!

Loved both the tacos and the experience. The cauliflower tacos were the best were fantastic. Our 13 year old said it was the best tacos he ever had and he knows his tacos.
Best tacos in Sarasota. More of an artisanal shop than traditional street tacos, although they have those too. The falafel taco is a surprisingly good and probably my favorite. Wide variety of salsas for your chips, most of which are toppings on their signature tacos. Don't skip the lime aguas frescas! So, so good.
I did the pork cochinita Pibil, beef barbacoa and the Korean beef tacos.
Definitely try the Korean beef!!! The other two wear my least favorite. Not much flavor on them. Also try the Chipotle queso and chips!!!

This is a little treasure my family goes to on our way to/ from the beach. This is not authentic Mexican tacos and they don’t claim to be. This place is pure magic with eclectic choices in tacos. For example, our personal favorite is the Korean tacos. You will not be disappointed. Very fast and friendly service. Great food.
What a great place, I have been driving by here for a couple years and thinking “We need to go there “ We finally did and will be going back soon. We each had a couple tacos which was more than enough. They have a nice selection of craft beers.
Also it was happy hour,great prices.
Screaming Goat is an awesome place. The food is fresh, unique, and authentic. The vibe is relaxed. And the canned drink selections are fun. Our family of five felt very welcome and had a great time. We will definitely add this to our can't miss list when in Siesta Key.
This place was the perfect option after swimming all day on the beach. We loved it, the service was quick and the people were so nice. Food was very fresh and they have a lot of unique flavor combos. We had the traditional options too and they were also very delicious. Highly recommend going if your in Siesta Key.

YUM YUM YUM!!! Good, FRESH, ingredients and great flavors. Nicely priced tacos and good specials with a unique daily taco. Good selection of beer, including the local favorites from JDubs. But, the tacos are so good that everyone wants them so you'll have to wait in line for a bit but it's totally worth it.
When we were looking for a caterer for our wedding, we knew we wanted something a little different. I reached out to Screaming Goat and set up a time to meet with Louise and from the initial visit (where they let me try EVERYTHING!), I knew we found the perfect caterer for our big day. Louise was so helpful throughout the whole planning process. Day of, I had so many guests come up to me and say "That was the best wedding food I've ever had!" Everyone raved how great it was! We had a few vegetarian and vegan guests as well and they were able to eat without having to make a special accommodation as a lot of their sides are vegetarian and vegan. The sauces are the best and all homemade and I honestly cant say enough great things! Great food, and even better people! So thankful for their hard work and being a part of our big day :)
The Screaming Goat has quickly become our favorite takeout spot in Sarasota. We've tried every taco and they are all tasty and fresh. Service is always friendly and fast. I love all of the options for toppings, it makes it easy to get a healthy and balanced meal that tastes great. I recommend this place to everyone!
Tried the Korean tacos and Nashville chicken tacos and this place did not disappoint. They crush the details, including pickled jalapeños on tacos. The Korean tacos transcend food all together, especially with some Scotch Bonnet salsa, and a squeeze of lime on top. The flavors are so complex and complimentary on a genius level. Seriously one of the best things I have ever eaten. Gf had a burrito she loved (that was very fresh). Chips and guac were good too. Best tacos I’ve ever had.
We arrived 15min after they opened. By noon they were quite busy. The Latin based food was amped up with the selections to choose from if you are building your own taco or burrito. If you are ravenous get a meat burrito & dont let the SIZE scare you off of it...take part of home. They have a vegan selection for non carnivores that is tasty too!
YUM! These tacos were great! We got the family meal and then a couple of their signature tacos. I thought the meat tasted great. Loved the sweetness of the beef and pork. Their avocado tomatillo sauce, chimichurri and roasted pepper were all very good!

My hubs experience was more of 4 stars. He had 4 tacos, one of which came with cilantro he asked to leave off. They replaced it quickly, but with the wrong taco...twice. He ended up with a bonus taco though so was overall happy!
Three tacos is more than enough! I used my chips to eat some of the taco meat until they were small enough to hold.
They have a strong vegan/vegetarian selection. I went with a vegan friend who liked the sweet potato and falafel tacos. It’s nice to have options to choose from instead of a default vegan option.

Came here based on reviews and it was such a delish eat. Affordable with good flavors and good vegan/vegetarian options. Would come back for the esquites 😍
