Love going to Captain Curt’s it’s a tradition in our family every year when we’re in town. LOVE LOVE LOVE the clam chowder! I’m from New England area and they have the BEST! A must go to! If you find my review and pictures helpful please give me a like. Thanks for reading!
They advise the "World's best Clam Chouder." I was a bit skeptical but have to admit... they're right!!! It is amazing! We even bought some to go. Some tourists told us they ate there 3 times in 18 hours, and on this trip, they went before they went to their condo." So... it may be addicting. Staff
Good food, great service. The scallops were great! However I probably wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again (currently on vacation). Ribs were huge.
The food was excellent. We had the fish N chips and the Fish platter with scallops and shrimp (fried) it was amazing. Perfectly cooked and the batter was light and delicious (not thick)
I loved it. We would definitely eat here again 😋
Clam Chowder wasn't the best I've ever had, but fish and chips were pretty good. Liked live band and patio seatings!
An example of siesta life at its finest. Good quality food and local cuisine. Just wish siesta key was still low key and not so commercialized!
You just can't go wrong here! They have the best clam chowder that I've ever eaten! Service is great! The clam in garlic lemon sauce was delicious as an appetizer! Fried clams were awesome as well! My husband was totally thrilled with his shrimp! The atmosphere was great and the service was wonderfu
Food was great!! Tried Gator bites, crab legs, the captains (non fried) Sampler, Fried shrimp, and Mai Mai (type of fish may not have name correct.) Didn't need much from the server so once we got our food she only got to check on us once maybe twice before we were done and out the door.. Enjoyable
The only thing I didn't like was "Snow crab" dish was very small but expensive. There are different places where you can take combo menu. We enjoyed a lot of ceaser salad here.
The Captains platter was good, and green beans were a little under cooked. Fish n fries were excellent. Drinks were good
Best seafood food in the area. I tried the clam chowder and it really is the best one I've ever had. I also ordered the captain fried extravaganza which was fried perfectly. Server went above and beyond and always checked on us every 5 min even with restaurant being busy. Highly recommend.
I have mixed feelings from our experience, but, to err on the side of fairness (mostly due to the great service we received) I will give them some good credit...
From the street, it checks a couple of boxes for me - it has that slightly run-down, greasy spoon look to it. From the inside, it does a
I had the chowder which I enjoy but I thought the hot mango wigs tasted even better. If you like hot food definitely try these
I don’t write reviews, but this has always been a pleasant place to come too. I’m a huge fan of clam chowder and order it a lot. This place is in my top 3 clam chowder I’ve ever had. The drinks are fantastic with their own ginger beer and liquors. The remodel looks great and thank you so much to our
We went for the Ohio state/Michigan game. They're was a ton of people but, the service was still great. The food was good and the atmosphere was exactly what we were expecting.
A restaurant on Siesta Key. It's located in a shopping center at the southern end of Siesta Key Beach. You don't have to worry about parking (enough spaces). The seafood taste was average, but the atmosphere on vacation was good. If you order the kids' menu, they give you a frisbee for the kids.
We came in to have some dinner before hitting up the beach and the drum circle. I was excited to try the clam chowder. It was definitely good, I enjoyed the gator better. The food was prepped well, could have used some more seasoning/flavor. They do mention lightly seasoned and they do mean it.
