Always a great meal. The Savor Sarasota option is wonderful. The french onion soup is the best I have ever had and the salmon was perfection.
This is my favorite lunch place in Sarasota. From the yellow gazpacho to the fried green tomatoes sitting on a spirited vegetable salad, everything is just right: smashing food and wine list plus desserts you have to get taste to believe. (Get the assortment of homemade ice creams!) All that and first class service. Yes, it's not cheap. But you get what you pay for. I sneak away here regularly to treat myself and I've never been disappointed.
We just attended the Benziger/Niman Ranch Scholarship Fundraiser dinner at Mattison's 41 where we were feted to six absolutely fabulous courses paired with outstanding wine and stellar service. I have to say it was the best evening out my wife and I have shared in many years (our own stellar company as a couple aside). As my children would say..."We had a blast!".
A retired hospitality industry senior executive, I have often heard that a full service destination restaurant's success is due primarily to three things: location, location, location! I must respectfully disagree. Though I find location can be a bonus, I believe a successful restaurant is like a fire in that you need three elements to succeed. To have a fire you need a source of fuel, oxygen and heat; take away any of the three and the fire fails. A successful restaurant needs good food, good service and a nice atmosphere - take away any of the three and the restaurant fails. Location is definitely a bonus but if know a restaurant like Mattison's 41 you will drive a half hour like we did.
This place is on fire and Chef/Owner Paul Mattison's has a home run here! He's having another Winemaker dinner in August and we will be there. Hope to meet you then!

It's the best! Our favorite place. Great happy hour and the Sunset menus are fabulous. Relaxing atmosphere.
Easter brunch was fantastic. The food was delicious and the service was excellent.
Love the salmon and the prime rib! Awesome appetizers! Chef Paul and his team are simply the best!
We go to this restaurant a couple times while on vacation in Siesta Key. Bertha Palmer steak is incredible! The piano player/singer doesn't disappoint.
Our beach wedding was rained out and Mattisons 41 took us in on a moments notice and allowed us to use their facility to continue our special day! The staff was beyond friendly and accommodating. And the gorgeous structure and design made for beautiful wedding photography!
My husband I always enjoy eating at Mattison'. We usually order one of the specials and it has always been great but this week was outstanding. I wanted to mop-the-plate-with-my-bread good.
Lovely place, great people and amazing food! What more can you ask for!?
Great place, great people!
No reservation...However, they set up fast. Server great. Food was excellent, actually divine!!

The Food was delicious, great atmosphere. Best Valentine's Day dinner
Just stopped by there for a client gift cert they love Paul & company! Buy local spend money in your community. Great RE advice.
Mattison's Forty-One is my favorite restaurant! Especially love the Sweet Potato Strudel.
The BEST food in Sarasota....great service and beautiful ambiance!!
Love the Happy Hour here and of course the Piano music!
My girlfriend and I went here for my 36th birthday, the food was amazing
Had a taste testing today for my wedding next year. The food was sensational. Chef Curtis did an outstanding job! Yummmmmmmmmy. Words don't describe the food quality, taste, etc.. Thank you Mattison's
Feast of Seven Fishes was fabulous! This will be a new tradition with our Sarasota family.
Highly recommend for great food at reasonable prices in a pleasurable atmosphere. My cold water lobster tail and 10oz filet were cooked to perfection and the service was impeccable. Kelly, Roy and Jim know how to treat a hungry customer! And the atmosphere is very swanky with a beautiful piano and artwork galore. A must for a fine dining experience.
We came for dinner 🍽. Shawn, our server, was great. Very attentive. I had the house special fettuccine with fresh veggies and jumbo shrimp. House special soup was beer cheese with red pepper. And for dessert we had blueberry, white chocolate chip bread pudding. My husband had the reconstructed pot roast, house salad. It was all so delicious 😋.
This is the second year we have ordered their Thanksgiving feast to go. Absolutely delicious and a great price for all that you get! Our new family tradition.
We also love their Mother's Day brunch and Easter brunch buffets!
VERY ACCOMMODATING!
I had a reservation for 6 on Thanksgiving day and because it’s a holiday a credit card was required to hold it with a 24 hr cancellation policy.
We had an emergency situation and had to cancel less than an hour before the time we were to arrive and due to the circumstances we were not charged.
We are very grateful and look forward to dining here in the near future!
The lobster, steak, salmon, and tuna were all delicious. They somehow managed to incorporate classic rock n' roll into the decor yet still maintain an upscale vibe. As for the service, when Donny the bartender heard that I was on a first date, he made a special dessert for us. Definitely coming back.
We enjoyed at wonderful lunch. The service was most excellent and the food was delicious. The ambience is inviting, laid back, and conducive to enjoying the camaraderie of good friends in a warm, welcoming environment. I had a simple lunch of French Onion Soup and an artfully composed side salad. Overall we had a most satisfying meal here and will definitely be back often.
We stopped on a whim. Food and atmosphere were very, very good. Husband loved poke tuna tower appetizer and salmon dinner. He said he would go back just to have the tuna. I had the pork tenderloin and it was tasty! The ONLY reason we are not giving it 5 stars for service is because of the mixed drinks from the bar. They were NOT good at all which is surprising since they were straight from their menu 🤔. Otherwise, go to this restaurant and enjoy!
This is one of the most elegant restaurants in the Sarasota Venice area. The service is impeccable every time. The food never disappoints. This is the second year we've celebrated our anniversary dinner here. We also introduced our friends also from the northeast, and they loved.
Mattison's Forty One is a 5 star experience consistently. The food and service never disappoint. The atmosphere is cohesive and beautiful. They change the entrance aesthetic from time to time to highlight special interests. The seating and areas are arranged to accommodate a lot of people yet make it easy to connect with friends or have a more intimate dinner with your loved one!
I love going to Mattison's for lunch. There are a nice assortment of entrees and salads and appetizers so there's something delicious no matter what mood I am in. They're truffle fries are so yummy. I would suggest ordering them well done or extra crispy. Allyson is an amazing server. She is friendly, helpful, has an excellent memory. She is an absolute asset to a top notch place to eat.
