Cozy italian restaurant, fresh made pasta and great dishes. Reasonably priced food and wine. Excellent and friendly service, even for the day after Thanksgiving. Would I go back? Definitely yes. Make reservations, and note it closes early.
Rarely write reviews, but have to give praise to this top-notch family restraunt. Truly felt honored to be in a place that felt far from home yet familiar at the same time. Enjoyed some of best home made Italian dishes I've ever had - whole family was impressed! Will be telling as many people as possible to visit, and eagerly look forward to the next meal with you! Our food was delicious, not to mention the desserts (profiteroles and tiramisu) uhmmm 😋The only thing I didn't like was that the restaurant was a bit busy and there was actually only one waitress, which made everything more delayed, the owner didn't help much, Her stress level was very noticeable. I saw how she treated a table that demanded their bread basket, and with her little English she was very rude with them, also her screams in the kitchen could be heard outside, the waitress seemed more controlled and she dominated the restaurant in a better way, you cannot be the owner and treat your customers like that, you have to learn to control and hide stress, set an example for your waiters and always smile.
Amazing dining experience. Right from the start this place was special. Food was wonderful. Homemade pasta & sauces were cooked to perfection. Service was excellent. Very authentic. Excellent wine selection. Will be back.

What a gem! Although tucked away with construction all around, it is worth making your way through! Authentic Italian dining experience. We felt like we were in their home while they cooked dinner for us. Excellent, personal service, superb house wine, and every course complimented the last. It is a must if you are in Sarasota!
So glad we came upon this amazing restaurant before seeing a show at the Van Wezel. The atmosphere is so lovely - in a wine cellar. And the food was absolutely incredible. We had the seafood pasta and it was phenomenal. We will absolutely be back. Highly recommend!
Food tasted good but VERY drenched with olive oil to the point of pooling oil on our plates. No Parmesan offered, as the Olive Garden will do. Extra bread costs additional. Beautiful atmosphere, pricey at $25 for an entree with no salad.
Have seen this place for years while visiting the Florida Studio Theater, as it is in close proximity. Finally made reservations and took the plunge. It is located inside a century-old house downtown Sarasota. Warmly greeted, we were seated a somewhat romantic table for two. Nestor was our server and he was terrific. We ordered lobster ravioli and pasta bolognase. Both dishes were simply "the best". Genuine Italian cuisine at it's finest. Certainly everyone has their own tastes, but we both agreed that this was the best ever. As snowbirds - we will be back again. Great wine choices and reasonably priced all the way around. Great Italian food!!!!!!!!!

My rating is only limited by the number of stars I can give...
Went there for dinner 7/31. It's kind of a little hole-in-the-wall place among monstrous high-rise hotels. The restaurant is situated in a century-old house, and the ambiance is one of being invited into an Italian grandma's house. It's quiet, intimate and decorated impeccably.
The food (at least what we sampled) was exceptional. ALL the pasta is home-made and the sauces were very tasty. The veal parmigiana was tasty, tender and cooked to perfection. Our server recommended a wine to go with it and the pairing was fantastic.
The service was wonderful. Our water glasses never emptied and he even took care of an issue with the coffee without being asked. He just replaced it with no questions.
One more thing... They have actual menus and wine lists!!!! None of that silly QR-code nonsense that many restaurants are going to now. That was much appreciated!
We will definitely return next time we are in Sarasota!

Went here for dinner, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The food was absolutely amazing and so fresh. I loved the ambiance of the restaurant as it is very private and quaint. Michael our server was great as well as he was very knowledgeable and attentive. I will DEFINITELY be coming back.
Reservation was for 6 and they gave us a private room for dinner. Michael, our server, took excellent care of us. Dinner was exceptional and wine list met everyone's expectatins. Our beer drinker was also satisfied!
This Restaurant is the most nicest restaurant I’ve been to in Sarasota. The workers and owners are so accommodating and they make sure you are enjoying your dinner. Very beautiful and clean place. The food is to die for and the home made pasta is delicious.. thank you to Emelia and Roberto he’s an amazing Chef .
