A very good Cuban sandwich. Rincon Cubano, “Home of the Cuban Sandwich and Cuban Cuisine”. I wanted to see and taste this Cuban sandwich. My opinion on what makes a good sandwich is distorted to where I want more pickle on my pressed Cuban, but this was still very good. My wife also enjoyed her Grouper dish.

Lively but non-obtrusive music played in the background. The place is larger than I expected and several tables were occupied. It looks like a nice family restaurant. A very polite and happy person greeted us and our server did a fine job.

Rincon Cubano is at the corner of Honore Ave and 17th St.

My 1st time here - saw the sign and decided to introduce a local, a friend of mine to Cuban food. We share a picadillo plate for lunch and had flan and guava+cheese pastry for desert. She enjoyed it and said she would return.

Restaurant is spacious, clean and wonderfully decorated! Great food, our meal met my wife’s gluten-free diet, except Cuban toast which I found delicious. Black bean soup was delicious.

I would highly recommend this place. The sandwiches are amazing and big. A 9" will definitely fill you up. Prices are good too. The wait staff was very good but it took a long time (15 minutes) for our sandwiches to get to us and they weren't that busy. I will go again whenever I'm back in this area.

The family Cuban crawl extravaganza headed south with some VIP guest crawlers this past week. Rincon Cubano is an out of the way spot we would have never found on our own but thanks to the power of social media we landed here. Trying a variety of items including their Cuban coffee, both regular fried plantain and sweet plantains, regular and hand cut fries and a pair of Cubans provided our palettes quite an expensive sampling of the diverse menu. Service was attentive & friendly, food cook times were a little on the slow side, however it came out hot and tasted very good. Portion size on the fresh cut fries for the price felt a little skimpy, but a everything else was appropriate. Great little spot, we’d come back. 👍🏼 🇨🇺

We all had the chicken Fricase Tuesday special and it is good as it always is. We come here every year on our visit to Sarasota from Indiana. Everything fresh, restuarant very clean. Always nice experience here.

This place is SUPER LEGIT! I grew up near Miami, and consider myself a connoisseur of Cuban cuisine. If you're looking for authentic home style Cuban comfort food in Sarasota, this is the spot! The Yuca Frita is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, the Tostones are perfectly fried, and the Lechón is incredibly juicy and tender! Be sure to finish your meal with a classic Cortadito and a Guava & Cream Cheese pastry (Pastel de Guayaba y Queso). FYI - they also have live entertainment on Friday nights!

I love ordering the Vaca Frita from here! It is so delicious and consistent! The owners and staff are all incredible people. They always have a smile on their face and are happy to serve you. I would give 10 stars if I could :)

We have been dining at this restaurant for over 6 years and we have never had a bad meal. During the height of covid-19 this restaurant kept our spirits high and our tummies full. Their chicken soup and Cuban Sandwich are truly a blessing for us professionals short on time. The restaurant is also open on Sundays which is where you can find us after church. Pre-order their flan right away. They tend to run-out of their coconut flan very fast.

We went to this restaurant after passing by it for over 4 years, what a shame I wanted this long. We started with tostanes served with garlic oil (super strong ). Then we had two dishes, Picadillo with boiled yuca and black beans and rice. My dish was Chicken fricase with red beans and rice and fried plantains. Topped off with a Cuba espresso. So good and filling.

Surprised there were no chips or fries with sandwiches, however, it was my first visit so I didn't know to add either of those. Bright and airy feeling atmosphere and courteous service. Will return to try more menu options 😋

Absolutely delicious food. This reminded me much of my mother in law’s cooking (she’s Cuban). Friendly staff and cute place. We visited this place twice during our trip because of how much we loved the food.

Absolutely delicious! The best take out! Got the Lechon with the boiled yucca, sweet plantains, yellow rice, and black beans. It was soooo good! Exactly what I remember Cuban food tasting like!

We had perfect Cuban coffee, a mojito made carefully from scratch with just a hint of sweetness, the Wednesday lunch special, the lunch pick two, and the appetizer sampler. Everything was perfect, I recommend all of it.
