My new favorite restaurant in Sarasota! I've had 2 meals here in the past 2 days and was completely blown away by both. Nice selection of wines, local beers and friendly and attentive staff. Grab a seat at the bar and ask for Adam, the owner's son.
We visited for the first time last Friday night. We expected good food since we are big fans of the Oasis and we were not disappointed! I had the grouper picata special and it was delicious, not overpriced and just the right size portion. The atmosphere was great and reminded us of some of our favorite bistros in Toronto. The service is friendly and even though they were busy we were well taken care of by several staff. We look forward to another visit real soon!
My husband and I just moved to the neighborhood and decided to stop in for a beer and supper. We’re hooked!! The owner (Adam?!) 😊 greeted us from the second we walked in, gave us so much history on their family restaurants in the area, and as new hosts of an Airbnb property we are about to rent, he stocked us up with reading material for our guests regarding the area. Now... the important stuff... we had spring rolls, brisket tacos, and black bean nachos. The food was incredible! They have a huge list of specials created daily and have any type of food you’re craving! They make all their sauces and dressings in house and even have a featured hot sauce! They also only supply beer from within 90 miles which we found to be extremely supportive. We can wait to send all of our Airbnb guests and our friends and family. Thanks so much again!
I am so happy that this little gem opened in Southside Village. I had a burger that was one of the best burgers that I have had in my life. Very cool little place with an interesting menu. Service was very personable. Met the owner who also owns Oasis down the street (which is another one of my favorite breakfast places). Great operation! I wish them much success!
We really enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere and choices on the menu. Our meals were especially tasty. Definitely recommend! If I lived in Sarasota I would come here regularly to enjoy all the chef's unique offerings!
I came in and was greeted with a smile. I decided to try the steak. It came cooked perfectly. The sides were horseradish mashed potatoes and Brussel sprouts with a balsamic vinegar. Each complimented the other very well. I also had the pleasure of talking to Adam behind the bar. He is very much about supporting the community and bringing people together as he has only local craft beers on tap. Others in cans and bottles if that’s what you prefer. I definitely recommend whether you’re on vacation or a local.
My husband and I love going to 1812 Osprey for dinner. The food is always great, and the staff is helpful and friendly. As someone with food allergies, it was such a pleasant experience to find out how accommodating they are with dietary restrictions. They have meals for everyone!
Southside Village, Adam, and yummy food, what more could ya want?
My arugula, fig, goat cheese, and beet salad was perfection! Top notch service, clean, and family owned. Yes please! I’m coming back for dinner with my whole family! Amazing job on the menu Adam!
Our recent dinner at 1812 Osprey was a pleasure. This newly opened restaurant in Southside Village has a warm, casual atmosphere and a small menu. Don’t let that fool you though....the nightly specials greatly expand your choices.
We started with appetizers for the specials list. The roasted golden beets and goat cheese was wonderful as was the tuna and both were cooked exactly as they should be. Our entrees were choppino, also from the specials list, and this was prepared perfectly as well. Great seafood in a rich tomato broth with just a kick of spice was served over pasta so you got every bit of the delicious sauce. We finished with a piece of peanut butter fudge pie and it was a great ending to a fine meal.
The Palermo family is cordial and welcoming and the service shows their presence and attention to detail. Prices are affordable and the wine/beer choices are good too. Well done! We will be back!
My husband and I and another couple tried this place for the first time for lunch today and enjoyed it and intend to return. I would like to try their dinner menu
The restaurant is small with a cool rustic vibe and the food was very good, especially the homemade chicken dumpling soup.
Everything was Amazing! The fig and arugala salad was by far my favorite salad ever! Our server, Heather, was attentive, professional and extremely welcoming with great menu choice suggestions. Definitely in the plans for another dining event! Oh yeah, desert waa to die for to..

Absolutely amazingly delicious cuisine. Very friendly staff and I admire how eco-friendly they are. This place has to be on your go-to list if you don't live here. But I do. 😀
Outstanding family owned and operated. My wife had the grouper BLT that was amazing. They also suggested a local restaurant for pork chops. I have told several people how outstanding this restaurant is.
We LOVE this place! So many delicious and healthy options with friendly staff. Follow them online so you can get previews of the daily specials!
Total 5 Star review.
1) service impeccable
2) atmosphere, comfortable and relaxing
3) menu options, totally covers the gamut
4) food quality, there aren’t enough stars
5) One of the best neighborhood restaurants around
Have eaten here twice and enjoyed it both times. Was surprised to be able to get in without a wait each time (if this place weren't in such an inconspicuous location, I'm sure there would have been).
All the food is good, but the fig salad and the 1812 burger are Fab - and Heather rocks! A perfect dinner spot to sit outside.
Such a great local spot. Cozy and inviting with some good beer and wine selections. Food is dynamic and delicious.
Cozy bistro boasting food, wine and beer offerings that aren't the usual fare. Pleasant and knowledgeable staff. A great find in Southside Village.
