We were sitting around talking about something sweet. We all had a sweet tooth and was hungry at the same time. Then somebody brought up sweet potato pie. Why did they say that? Now normally on August you can't really find a good sweet potato pie but low and behold my people told me about this place.
I am not from Sarasota so I didn't know the gem they had down the road. Literally. So what did we do? Call them. How many lies do you have? I have three left. Hold them I'm on my way.
Now once my friend for there she decided to buy some barbecue too. So we could snack but the main objective today was pie. She scooped up some brisket sandwiches and some ribs too.
When she walked in the house and gave me my own individual pie I'm thinking it's just a slice. Nope it's an individual deep dish pie for one person. Did I say deep dish? Oh yes God! The crust was not store bought. It had a heavy presence of butter, it was flaky and it was also slight sweet. I could have ate the pie crust all by itself. The taste omg just the right texture. It was heavy, not loose. Sweet but not overpowering the sweet potato. Just the right amount of butter, vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg. Jesus my friend can't never come visit Atlanta without bringing me at least two of these pies. I couldn't eat it all at one time either. So not sleep on these pies. Oh and there were no strings either.
The barbecue was dry rub and some of the best I have ever had. I wish I had more of it but again it was a snack and not the focus.
Best believe I will have me another pie.
My favorite is the ribs!!! So delicious 🤤 perfectly seasoned, tender and meaty! Oh and the mac n cheese, and the corn bread, and the ribs! Did I say the RIBS?!😄

The best ribs I ever had. The sweet potato is sooooooo delicious. The best! You must go to this place and get that awesome food. The greens were cooked just like my Mom.
Best BBQ I've ever had. Friendly service. On time delivery. Only complaint is that I didn't have a bigger appetite. Amazing.
Had a family get together and ordered ribs, brisket and chicken. We made our own side dishes. The food we ordered was excellent. Best brisket ever. Food was delivered on time. Will definitely order again.
Perry's bbq is amazing!! We ordered one of their combo's and everything was very delicious. Highly recommend.

Made my first trip to Perry’s BBQ and it was nothing but a positive experienced. Loved the taste, marination, and smokiness of the ribs and the chicken! And the baked beans? Tasty! Will definitely be coming back to dine on some good ole barbecue.
And I appreciate the kindness of the staff!

Very nice family run southern BBQ catered for our family get together. This was my first time trying southern BBQ, and boy I'll be back on my next trip out here. Everything on the menu is phenomenal. Their pulled pork and ribs were great. Coleslaw, baked beans, Cornbread and Mac & cheese... You gotta get the Mac & cheese with the crisp layer of cheese on top...amazing. Their BBQ sauce is also so tasty! Not the typical sweet stuff but I love Perry's sauce way more. Stop here, you won't regret it!
