OMG! I cannot say enough good things about this place!!! What an amazing experience from the start to the finish! The ambiance was absolutely amazing! The drinks, the appetizer, my main dish, dessert, the after dinner drinks, and the service. Gary was our server and we were celebrating our 30 Anniversary. He mad it a memorable experience. Thank you to everyone!
Everything is superb and the view is to die for. I highly recommend this place
We just love this place. We always take our special friends and guests from
Germany there. It’s a great restaurant with excellent food, reasonable prices and great services. And that with a fantastic view!

We've had wonderful experiences here each time we've been to the Bay Area. The service is phenomenal; our waiter had been there for decades. The food and view were also simply wonderful.
Lovely place with awesome view. be prepared to queue or have a sandwich at the bar.
The food was great, the service was great, and it has the best view around..
Great place to eat and enjoy the view of the bay. You can see the bay from three sides.
A great experience with the most beautiful view of the bay.
We watched seals and dolphins in the bay while we awaited dinner and then watched the fog roll in through the bay entrance.
A beautiful experience with delicious food and great staff.
Highly recommend. Would return.
Have gone here a few times, and have always enjoyed it. I usually get the crab louie salad because you get a ton of crab. The restaurant's over the water, and you get great views of the bay and San Francisco.
This is my second time here and it has a great view. It is important to make a reservation before going so we can get a table by the window. I like the food and they are very attentive.
Absolutely amazing restaurant. We enjoyed our food and the view. This is a comeback visit and we will definitely visit again.
Spectacular view of course. Bay, SF, Golden Gate Bridge.
Steak main surprisingly good. Wine menu adequate. Tap for 18 came out $3000 for private room.
Excellent service.
Great food especially for the group coming out synch, consistently with quality.
We had lunch at The Spinnaker on a weekday in June, 2023. Parking was a little tight, but we found a spot. We were seated quickly once inside. It was past one PM, which might have made it easier to get a table.
We ordered our lunch and sat and enjoyed the main reason for us to visit. The views from our table were spectacular. We were on the water facing San Francisco. So we had a great view of the city. We also had a great view of Alcatraz. We could see the cable towers for the Golden Gate Bridge. We also could see other landmarks from our table. And for the second day in a row, we were visited during lunch by a seal. He only stayed short time and only popped his head out of the water. Unfortunately, a pole was kind of in my way, so I couldn't get a good picture of him or her. I was much more fortunate yesterday.
Our food was good. But to be fair, we have had better. I'm not trying to take a shot at The Spinnaker. The food really was good. But I didn't think it was anything special to me. The wife agreed. But we also agreed that this might just be what we had for lunch more than anything. So maybe judge for yourselves. Maybe we are giving them negative press that might be unwarranted.
Prices were not extremely high, but were not inexpensive either. So I guess I would say somewhat fair. And the view made it all worth it, whether or not you agree. Atmosphere is very important. As such, the food could have been not very good and I still would have thought our visit was worth it. Thankfully, the food was good.
Our server was also very good. He made us feel special and was very professional. I took pictures, but it was cloudy and hazy. The pictures do not do the actual views justice. They are much, much better in person.
All in all, I thought the Spinnaker was a decent restaurant that has a great atmosphere with spectacular views. You should consider trying them if in the area. At the very least, you'll probably remember where you had that meal.
Beautiful views and delicious food. They have fresh oysters and a good variety of sea food. The atmosphere is super romantic and calm. I'd recommend it!
Had a wonderful lunch with a fabulous view and great friends. It's a bit pricey, but everyone enjoyed their food, drinks and desserts! The clam chowder is excellent!!
My daughter and I just spent a week driving along The Pacific Coast Hwy 1 from San Francisco to Leggett, CA. The whole trip was magical! A crazy, curvy road led us to stunning cliff top views, sea lions, light houses, giant redwoods, and eventually back to Sausalito where we found this amazing restaurant! We appreciated the free valet parking and the large, open parking lot. We felt very safe in this area.
As soon as we entered, we were greeted by the very friendly host who took us to a corner table with views of Alcatraz Island and the cliff side houses of San Francisco Bay. The walls were floor to ceiling windows which offered panoramic views of the ferry boats, sailboats, and even a couple of dolphins that swam next to the restaurant!
Dinner was just as fabulous as the scenery. We ordered a delicious bottle of local Sonoma County wine along with a charcuterie board of local cheeses. French bread was available throughout the meal. We ordered the Caesar salad and Baby arugula salad with Citrus vinaigrette dressing. Both salads were large and made with fresh local ingredients. We shared the Halibut picatta. Perfectly cooked in a white wine/lemon/caper sauce and served with peppers, green beans, and cauliflower. Service throughout the meal was exceptional! We highly recommend making a reservation or contacting them for your next event. We did see what looked like event rooms down the hall from the main area.
We hope to get back to the area one day and will definitely make plans to return to The Spinnaker!
Beautiful location. We stopped by in the evening for drinks, so I don't know about the food, it looked good though. The prices seemed good considering that you pay for the location too.
We will be back, and this is the top restaurant I would suggest to visit when in Sausalito.
It has the best view in Sausalito.
The food is decent, typical American Style food.
We didn't know it almost take 2 hours to eat a meal, so if you are in a hurry, remember to tell your server food can come together any time when it's ready.
Service is good.
Seafood is good.
Even though it's a Monday, it's packed during lunch time.
But we were still being given a very nice window table.
Been visit here so many times, it's like a ritual for me every time we visit The Spinnaker.
Loved the fried artichoke!! Seasoned and cooked to absolute perfection! We immediately let our server know that we were on a bit of a time crunch, since we were on a tour of Sausalito. He accommodated our order and got our check ready for us almost immediately and his service was absolutely appreciated!
We had an excellent salmon experience. The fish was very delicious and the sauces were very good. The seafood sample plate was also very tasty
From the second you walk in this place has some of the best views of the San Fransisco Bay. Shortly after you are seated you are greeted with delicious bread and the menu is extensive and seafood heavy. Everything my table had was wonderful from the Dungeness & Rock Crab Mac & Cheese to the Angel Hair with shrimp, scallops, and clams, then I can't forget the bouillabaisse. The service is also very friendly and accommodating. Overall, an amazing restaurant that I would recommend to everyone.
If you want to treat your parents, or grandparents, to fresh fish and a great view in Sausalito, this is your place. They’ll appreciate the valet parking, comfortable seating, attentive service, and straightforward menu as well as the novelty of watching pelicans and sailboats pass you by.
Great for special occasions and with company who appreciate a slower pace.
I had a wonderful lunch dining solo. My late father's ashes were scattered nearby a few years ago. I had a combination of clam chowder, oysters on the half shell, a glass of Sauvignon Blanc, and passionfruit sorbet for dessert. I took a photo just as they opened before ordering. You cannot beat the views. The oysters were incredibly fresh. I grew up in the Pacific Northwest shucking Olympic Peninsula oysters.
