5 Star service through and through. Vic's on the River speaks elegance with stunning views of the waterfront. Vic's is rich in history, where they even found an old map of the Chattanooga Trail when doing renovations, that is now part of the wall on display behind glass. Vic's on the River from start to finish was superb. The staff are extremely attentive and really nice and accommodating. I recommend Vic's on the River to all for a stellar meal and a phenomenal atmosphere. 5 Star Service again and again.
Savannah, GA is full of rich history and dining that you will never forget.
We ate too much! Everything was so good. Salad was larger than expected, i could not eat it all. I did not get pictures of our meal, I had shrimp scampi and my husband had the steak and fries. Will definitely go back!
My husband and I had a late lunch for our first afternoon in Savannah. I had forgotten that I had mentioned our anniversary on our reservation. We were seated at the best table! In the corner, by the windows overlooking the river. The atmosphere was lovely, and the food was delicious. I had she-crab soup and blackened mahi tacos. I should have only had the soup, as it was so rich and filling! Took most of my meal back to our hotel. My husband had scallops over pearled couscous. He loved it, and could have had twice the serving!
We were started off with biscuits and butter on the table. So yummy!
As a lovely surprise, our server brought us the most delicious chocolate mousse dessert! We could barely finish it, as it was so rich, but we powered through! The service was wonderful as well. I highly recommend this beautiful spot.
We only had one night in Savannah, and I'm so glad we came here. The food was absolutely amazing! We had the Octopus and the Spicy Shrimp as starters and they were both extraordinary. I had the Fried Chicken as my main course. It too was amazing, and was served with this tangy sauce which made the meal extra special. My wife also had the Scallops. She said they were the best Scallops she ever had. The service was excellent, and was friendly and accommodating throughout the evening. If there is one place to go, make it Vic's.
My husband and I had lunch at Vic's On The River, today. It was so delicious! We are foodies and travel around with a mission to savor the best food. Vic's is a great start for us in Savannah. We loved the building and the beautiful music being played on the piano. The crab cakes were so delicious, actually everything we tried was good. Thank you so much!

What a charming restaurant located in the heart of Savannahs waterfront. We were passing through town & decided to grab dinner last minute. They were nice enough to accommodate us last minute outside on the patio. We enjoyed the krawfish starters & the soup was incredible. We enjoyed the entrees but found the sides a bit bland & asked for salt. The wait staff was pleasant and attentive. We enjoyed our evening.
We enjoyed a very nice meal at Vic's. She crab soup, seared tuna special and scallops were very good. The service was attentive. Our visit was on a Tuesday night in the Fall tourist season and the place was hopping. Interior noise level was fairly high.
Great experience at Vic's on the River for dinner. We arrived as soon as they started seating for dinner (5pm) so we got seated right away but the tables quickly filled up! Our waitress was very knowledgeable on the specials and menu and recommended some great dishes. We ordered the calamari, beef short ribs, a special which was halibut with crab risotto, and the pecan pie. All delicious with no complaints! This is now at the top of my list for best restaurants in Savannah!
Loved this restaurant! I almost always order steak at a restaurant like this, but I decided to go with the pork chop and I was not disappointed at all. That was the best pork chop I’ve ever had in my life. We sat on the top floor and had a nice view out the window of the river. Afterwards, on my way out I got the best salted caramel latte from the super kind barista at the coffee bar downstairs who helped me decide what to order. Overall great experience. Friendly staff, great food and drinks, and a coffee to go? A dream.
I had the best meal I’ve ever had here. The flavor combination was very unusual but worked so well. It was absolutely delicious! I had the special that day - salmon w/ shredded veggies. This was the only time I have ever requested to see the chef to personally thank and tip. The blueberry lemon drop cocktail was a perfect match.
