Highly recommended for fresh oysters as well a number of their other starters and entrees. Can be a little noisy at times indoors, but the outdoor heated dining area has always proven relatively quiet. Amazingly fresh oysters and nice wine list for pairing with the various menu items. Definitely a must dining experience.
Everything was great. Shared an oyster appetizer. I had salmon, which is a favorite of mine. It was delicious. My friend had the grouper and she said it was delicious. The only thing we didn't like was they had no bread, but I guess that may be the norm for an oyster bar.
My husband and I had lunch at Sorry Charlie's Oyster Bar. We had so much fun! Our waitress was great, she was so nice and took very good care of us! We had the oyster sampler and my favorite was the butter garlic parmesan. So yummy, my husband had the Sorry Charlie house oysters. Everything was so delicious, thank you!
Clearly, oysters are a must. Caught and served fresh on the daily, this cuisine will not disappoint your seafood cravings. The importance of provencal offerings and quality can be enjoyed in its purest form at this restaurant . Top notch bartenders Gabby & Ben provided 5 Star hospitality . We ate x2 at this establishment . I highly recommend that you arrive early to get a seat at the bar . Impressive happy hour specials .
Sorry Charlie's is an absolute gem! I go every single time I’m in Savannah. If you're a fan of oysters, you're in for a real treat because Sorry Charlie's serves up some of the most delicious oysters I've ever had the pleasure of enjoying at a restaurant.
Each oyster is a burst of ocean flavor, perfectly shucked and impeccably fresh.
What makes this place even more exceptional is the friendly and attentive staff. The service is top-notch, and the team goes out of their way to ensure you have a memorable dining experience. They're knowledgeable about the menu, offer great recommendations, and always greet you with a smile.
The rooftop bar is a fantastic addition, providing a wonderful escape with a view when there's a wait for a table. It's the perfect spot to enjoy a drink while taking in the charming Savannah atmosphere.
Also they have a pie-inspired sour (don’t remember the name) that is a true masterpiece of flavors. It manages to capture the essence of a delicious pie in a glass, combining sweet and tart notes in perfect harmony. Sipping on this feels like indulging in a dessert, making it a must-try for anyone looking to add a touch of sweetness to their dining experience at Sorry Charlie's.
Didn't have a table so we sat at the bar. Waitstaff couldn't have been more wonderful. Service seriously outstanding. Had chefs selection of oysters, fried green tomatoes and mussels. Everything from drinks to food to service was spot on. Highly recommend

We ordered a dozen oysters on the half shell, and they were all perfectly shucked and delicious.
The burger was cooked medium-rare, as requested, and it was juicy and flavorful.
The service was friendly and attentive. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and made great recommendations.
The atmosphere was fun and lively. The restaurant was crowded, but it didn't feel too noisy or crowded.

My wife and I decided to enjoy a day date while the kiddos were in school. We ended up going to Sorry Charlie’s. Our waiter’s name was Preston. That dude was spot on! He knew the menu and gave honest opinions and suggestions… it was refreshing to deal with someone that didn’t try to sell every dish as if they all were the greatest thing on the planet.
We ordered an 18-pc Oyster Sampler. It wasn’t bad. But honestly, some of the oysters did not taste like they were cleaned very well and some lacked flavor altogether. Regardless, that happens sometimes.
We also ordered some separate dishes. My wife got some fried green tomatoes with some shrimp on the side (per Preston’s suggestion) that were cooked perfectly. The batter on the tomatoes was super tasty and the tomatoes were great!
I ordered the Ceviche. Preston highly recommended it. I can’t lie… I’m a bit of a snob when it comes to Ceviche. I get it almost every time I see it on a menu but I’m rarely impressed. This stuff though - this stuff made me sad. Mainly because I know it’s going to be hard to find Ceviche this good elsewhere. It was PACKED with flavor and the portion size was excellent. Sorry Charlie’s has now set the bar for what I’m going to judge other Ceviches by. 😆
For real though, if you’re in the downtown Savannah area, run by there and give Preston a shout! He won’t steer you wrong. And while you’re at it, try one of those pineapple cocktails. But ask for a bowl to sit the pineapple in so you don’t spill it. The bowl gives it a stable, flat, bottom. 😉
Food was good. We went for oysters and enjoyed. Staff was a little overwhelmed on a busy Saturday.
The college in town had just started Thanksgiving break so I'm hoping all the good staff was just home for the Holiday.
Would try one more time since food was good.
This is my absolute favorite place in Savannah to get fresh oysters on the half shell!! So fresh and clean! Love the rooftop bar seating as well!
