Was seated quickly on a Saturday night. Service was good but our waiter was very forgetful. Refilled my half full glass of Diet Coke with what ended up being tea. Luckily my husband caught it. Chicken fingers and spuds were super yummy. Steer clear of the pizza, Digiorno is much better.

Had some time to kill before my flight back to STL so I have this place a whirl. This has got to be the best pizza and wings Savannah has to offer. Food was hot, delicious, and fresh. Lunch service was great. I say at the bar and was served promptly and pleasantly by the bartender and another member of the wait staff who jumped in to help out. Great teamwork. Place isn't fancy or anything but it was perfect for me and my tastes. Enjoy!

Atmosphere and more. This is one restaurant that is most often crowded any time of the day or night. The food is good, the beer is cold, and the service is quick. Spanky's has menu that is more reasonable than most of the other restaurants on River Street or City Market. You can expect a slight wait for a table, especially on game days.

Enjoyable and fun. Our server "Megan" made everything fun. I had the original chicken fingers and my wife had a burger. Go have some fun. Ask for Megan!

Cold beer and great bar food on River Street. River Street sure does get a bad rep. on here... I don't get the hate? Yeah it's touristy and loud. But why is that a bad thing??? I happen to be a tourist, and I loved walking up and down River Street with a drink in my hand.... great people watching too.

Spanky's is down towards the end of River Street and fulfilled our needs perfectly. On our first night in Savannah, we needed a quick "mid day mini meal" to tide us over for a night of partying and walking around. We sat at the bar, ordered beer, chicken fingers, and spanky's spuds, and were in no way disappointed.... they were great. Exactly what I want from a touristy bar.

We ate here on one previous trip in 2008 and had killer burgers and a wonderful experience. This was also great. If you're in the mood for quick bar food to help soak up the alcohol that flows like honey down the cobblestone drinks of River Street, Spanky's is for you.

Spanky's is a classic on River Street. It has been around forever. My dad and mom used to eat here when they were in college. So, yeah, I have been here a lot growing up. Three kids can eat a lot of chicken fingers.

The best items on the menu are the chicken fingers and Spanky's spuds. Make sure to try the honey sauce with the chicken fingers. They also have pizza and nachos. Oh yeah, and beer, too. Lots of beer. ;-)

Doesn't look like much from the outside but the pizza was pretty good. Service was quick and didn't have to wait long for our food!

Reasonable and Tasty Sports Bar/Pub Food Down By the River. Spanky's is not anything fancy but then I don't think it wants to be. This is the sort of no-nonsense place that excels at being what it is, a great sports bar/'pub amidst the tourist buzz of the Riverwalk. Featuring a traditional and decently priced menu it represents the perfect place to stop in and grab a burger or friend chicken sandwich and a cold drink. Family friendly, there is something on the menu for even the pickiest of child pallets and that says something unto itself. Of note, try the Fried Chicken Sandwich, it's filling, tasty and reasonable priced.

Signature Chicken Fingers & Spuds. After our two hour walking tour through historic Savannah, our guide suggested stopping in to try the chicken fingers and spuds.

We each got a basket that arrived prompt and hot. Our conversation halted until we were both done eating. The pieces of chicken were sized right to have a good batter-to-chicken ratio. The spuds were sliced the right thickness to also have a good batter-to-potato ratio. My husband loved their signature honey sauce, which the waitress told us was honey and a little horseradish mixed together.

I'd probably not eat anything else from the menu, as it seems Spanky's is all about the chicken fingers and spuds. If you go for that, be sure to stop and have a basket.

we took a big group here for lunch. Most of the food was good. The fish was way undercooked. The chicken fingers were OK. The nacho supreme, bread and cheese, and the fried shrimp were very very good. The service was awful. It took us forever to get food, refills, and the bill to leave. However, most of the food was pretty good so I would recommend this restaurant.

We ate here after a recommendation. We all ordered the Fish & Chips with spuds as the side. I also ordered a peach margarita. Everyone was raving about the spuds. They were just okay to me and definitely lacked seasoning. The fish and margarita was really good though. I would try again because the atmosphere was great. Good mix of music. Good customer service.

Quirky basement bar and saloon that claims to be home of the original chicken finger. Menu offers a wide variety of pub foods. Ordered queso & chips, a five-piece chicken finger basket with Spanky's spuds, and a personal pepperoni pizza. They were all good, though note that the chicken fingers are battered rather than breaded. Wish we had gotten fries, as the Spuds are underwhelming, though admittedly exactly as described: thick discs of sliced potatoes, battered and fried.

I heard from some locals that this was their go-to spot. I’m glad I listened. I had a shrimp platter and it was great. Biggest surprise? I guess I’ve never had authentic hush puppies before and I’ve been missing out! Everything is lite and not greasy and the flavors are perfect. My server was friendly, helpful, and a real joy!

Shannon our bartender is an absolute Rockstar!! Said she hadn't made an old fashioned in quite a while, but knocked it out of the ballpark!! Amazingly friendly staff created a very casual and comfortable atmosphere!! Kitchen staff was great helping serve for my gluten allergy!

I could not try any of the foods they are famous food because of a food allergy, so, I had the hotdog and coleslaw. Both were good and good flavor for what they were, now the blueberry Moscow mule was smooth refreshing and delicious.

We did a really late lunch/early dinner. It wasn't too crowded until we were almost finished. Our waiter was Jami ( I think I spelled that right). Very attentive. Really good food and the drinks were wicked. Nice, clean place. If you get a chance, go by this place.

As firsttimers we enjoyed the pizza. The small one was big enough for two. Great quality. One thing: they need more servers. Ours was so busy she forgot us several times. Not actually her fault. She had too much on her mind. Anyway, this restaurant serves good food for a reasonable price!

The chicken fingers and pizza were good. I was more impressed with the atmosphere and the building than the food to be completely honest. I love chicken finger sauces and I had the house sauce, bbq, and honey mustard and felt they were decent. Our waitress was fantastic however! It was great to try and say we have been there, but I'll try somewhere else when I visit.

Our family had a late lunch here and it was great. There are plenty of choices for everyone and the food was tasty. Personal pan pizzas were a great choice so each person could get what they wanted to toppings. The interior was nice and clean. We also had a great waitress.

Spanky's provides good food and plenty of it. My wife and I split one of their chicken salads, included a side of hush puppies, and we were really full by the end of our meal. Good food, reasonable service, not overly crowded even at lunch time.

Stopped in for a quick lunch. The food was great. My son had the chicken fingers with the honey horseradish sauce. I had blackened chicken and steamed veggies. The waitress asked if I wanted a sauce to dip my veggies in and I got the creamy horseradish. The interior was quite cool as you can tell it is an old building. The waitress saw me taking photos and told me one of the paintings was on a repurposed fence. Great food, service and location.

Wow, simply the best chicken! An amazing atmosphere with very friendly and helpful staff. Our first time in Savanna and this was our first meal… set the bar high.. so good. I highly recommend the pecan pie, the perfect way to end a wonderful meal 🙌🏻
