Our experience started off slow as it took about 10min to get served after we were sat. (With 2 toddlers in tow, our patience is much shorter!) But our waitress finally came to the table and apologized many times over for getting jammed up with another table and it was all good after that. Wife and I ordered a few different beers, and while this is known as a brewery, the beers were just ok. I go to a lot of breweries and drink micro brews often, there was nothing to particularly write home about, but they were average. The real treat here was the food if you can believe that. The Tacodillas, a combo of quesadilla in a taco form with brisket was just about the best “taco” I ever had. It was legit. Food was great. Beer was average. Service was 5 star eventually. Location is perfect. Will go back.

We had a great dinner tonight. Aaron, our server, provided exceptional custom service. The crab melt was absolutely delicious. We will definitely return when we visit Savannah again.

Came here 2 years ago while visiting my family in Hilton Head and absolutely loved the beer and burgers. Able to make it here again while in town and couldn’t wait to get back again for another round! Didn’t disappoint! Love this place!

Both the food and beer were amazing. We were sat within 5 minutes of walking in. Our server Bradley was super helpful and did an outstanding job. We will definitely be back!

The staff was absolutely fantastic! I went with a baby in tow and the waitress was thoughtful enough to bring out a couple fries for her to snack on. The hostess checked on us while we waited. In addition 3 other staff members interacted with us and made sure we were taken care of. Fried green tomatoes were delicious, and I enjoyed a brew.

When on the East Coast- you have to visit this place! Food was great- and so were the Brews! Didnt talk to any Spirits... but there were some definite vibes in the room! Thank you for the Southern Hospitality!

The staff and management there are very friendly and very attentive. A team that helps each other. Everyone is constantly moving and cleaning and making sure the customer has what they need. I would suggest stopping by and asking Donna the bartender outside to make you your special choice of drink. You won't be disappointed. She was terrific. Pet friendly and they'll even provide a water bowl for you pet being that it's hot here in Savannah. Definitely will be going back.... Great times...

I'm staying in town for a week for work and was looking for a local brewery to check out - this was the perfect spot! I sat at the bar on the patio and enjoyed the nice weather comfortably. Bradley was an excellent and attentive bartender and was great conversation! He asked every customer if they wanted to taste the beer they ordered before getting it - loved that. I had the 'taco-dillas' paired with some collard greens on the side, and they did not disappoint in the slightest 🤤 Great flavor and a unique dish. It's also a very short walk from the river, so you can walk down there for shopping and watch the ships come in. I definitely recommend this spot!

Upon arriving in Savannah for the first time, we decided to support a local brewery, and tried Moon River Brewery. It’s in the heart of the historical district and a short walk from the river. The food was typical bar food - we had the tater tots, plant based patty and the fried chicken with collard greens and Mac and cheese. The food was good, big portions and enough to take home. I tried the lager and Belgian beers and enjoyed them both. Our server, Ash, was the best part of our experience. Ash was friendly, outgoing and had a great personality. We appreciated connecting with Ash during our meal - it was a pleasure getting to know her. She provided a great introduction to Savannah!

Always wanted to go since I seen the episode of Ghost Adventurers when they went to the Moon River Brewing Company. I felt an instant calmness when I entered into the restaurant. Nice atmosphere and the waitress we had was very friendly and courteous. Highly recommend.

This is a MUST for any Savannah visit. This historic building was the first hotel, post office and bank in the city and has been standing since 1821. The atmosphere is incredible. Reportedly haunted, as it has been featured on Ghost Adventures etc, but I had no encounters of my own 😊 The service was outstanding. We sat at the bar and enjoyed a beer and some food. Being a dark beer drinker, I went with the porter and was impressed. Later, I had their bourbon cocktail mule and enjoyed that as well. But somehow in a brewery where the drinks are certainly enjoyable, the food stole the show! I highly recommend their grilled chicken sandwich. I ordered it with cheddar and fries and was blown away by how delicious it was. I believe my wife ordered a burger and a light beer and she was impressed as well. The two employees who were working the bar were super attentive and friendly. The bathroom was very spacious, clean and modern. They have a patio outside and the inside seating area was much larger than I expected. All in all, I was thoroughly impressed with this establishment and will be back when I visit Savannah on my future trips. Moon River is truly one of the gems in this beautiful city.

Brewery: Moon River City: Savannah GA Brewed on premise: Yes Number of taps: 10 Number of bottles/cans: 0 Guest Beer: No Bar seating: 20 Table seating: yes Patio: Yes Beer garden: No Food: Yes Food Trucks: No Dogs Allowed: No Televisions: 5 Beer to go: Yes Liquor: Yes Wine: Yes Prices: $6-$13 Tony: Yes Why would I come back: Fits the stereotypical Brewpub from the Ninety's bias. Large wood bar, Breweriana, quirky art, Americana, random trophy, etc. multiple GABF gold medal winners, World Beer Cup winners, so the beer is good. Great place for happy hour, or a date night. Right off the water front in the heart of historic Savannah. Comfortable place to hang out with a pint or two. @brewersassoc @homebrewassoc #ParkerPose #BeerLife #BeerLove

The food tasted great. We had the pecan chicken and a moon burger with fries. It was not as much food as you get at the Pirate House, but not as expensive. The waitress was very friendly and the food came out quick. My only complaint was I asked for the burger well done and it was pink in the middle.

Well we didn't see a ghost 👻. But, we did have some great adult beverages and food. Overall I think everyone had a good time and our server was very attentive and even brought us ghost tour brochures which I felt was above and beyond. Well done!

Great brewery down by the river, outside patio perfect for a place to lounge with your dog. Full menu service also on the patio. Definitely recommend starting with the beer flight which is only $20 and helps you identify the perfect beer for a full pour

Really cool spot with good drinks and lovely outdoor seating. The staff are okay. The bartender was on the phone while we're waiting to order at the bar but she was nice after that. It's a good spot to stop for a drink if you are in the area I would recommend.

Easily accessible on Bay St, we hit this place twice for a quick appetizer and some beers. We were seated quickly and service was attentive, even with some large groups in the restaurant. We didn’t do a beer flight, but did sample almost all of their offerings nonetheless. All were superb. My least favorite was the sweet potato beer though. Didn’t quite have the thanksgiving vibe flowing yet! The crab dip came out hot and bubbly with fresh multicolored chips. None went to waste. The baked oyster appetizer had it beat though. Piping hot loaded with spinach and Parmesan. A real winner. A great spot to kick your feet up, sip a beer and eat a quick bite.

Great dog friendly patio, covered outside bar with TV's, vegetarian options, great food, beer, and service. Parking garage is more expensive than I thought so try to find a meter. Very walkable area.

Not sure why Moon River was only 3.9 stars. The service was awesome! Why? Erin, our waitress, made our experience at Moon River Brewing Company quite enjoyable and memorable. She proved that she knew the wines, the beers and the food by making recommendations when we asked. She was delightfully cheerful and took the time to make sure we were taken cared of. I would definitely ask for her when we come back! Oh, and by the way, the food and beer/wine were great, too.

📢 Foodie Alert 📢 Chicken Ceasar Wrap Where: @moonriverbrewing This wrap was filled with flavor. Every bite was accompanied by delicious parmesan and juicy bites of chicken. The Ceasar dressing was so so good. I thoroughly enjoyed the crispy French fries. Excellent service, easily accommodates someone with a wheelchair inside (just enter through the outside seating). We had the chips and salsa and added the Wacky Wit Queso. My son describe the queso as more of a fondue, and he's right. It's a very "full-bodied" dip, and will fill you up if you aren't careful. Definitely not the kid of dip you can just eat chip after chip. Husband had the shrimp and grits, I had the loaded tots, and son had the mac and cheese bowl with chicken. He has never had buffalo chicken before because he just never gave it a shot. Well, he enjoyed it, but could barely eat half of the serving. I'm sure that the queso played into it. I enjoyed the tots, but they might have been sitting a bit waiting for everyone else's meals. They weren't ice cold, but they weren't warm. They were very crispy, though, and that's what counts when you have something with potatoes. The balsamic reduction is awesome on it. Husband enjoys trying shrimp and grits from various places to see how they make it. He enjoyed this one, too.

We had a party of 26 with one waitress(Aliyah) and she and the team absolutely killed it!! They were so quick with drinks and food and everything came out perfect. Aliyah was such a friendly and patient waitress. This was for a work dinner and all our customers were so happy with the food, drinks, and service. Thanks for a great time!

We were going there to do the investigation with Truth in Evidence Haunted Tours anyway, so we decided to try the food out. We're glad we did. The hostess Savannah, & our server Katie were great. Very helpful, polite, & attentive. My wife got the Chicken Taco-Dillas, & I got the Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo. Both of our dishes were delicious, & the prices were good. The atmosphere of the place was cool, & the investigation turned out great. Would recommend you do both while in Savannah!

Heard good things about Moon River so the five of us plus two dogs stopped in for dinner. We chose the outdoor seating as that area is pet friendly. We ordered drinks from our server Diamond and were promptly served. Ordered Wing's and peal your own shrimp. Shrimp was plentiful at $20 and a 5 ⭐ however the small amount of wings for $12 left a lot to be desired so 3 ⭐. Mac and cheese bowl with chicken $12 was also a bit of a let down so another 3 ⭐. Bill had the Bratwurst with peppers and fries $10. Brat was over cooked as were the meager amount of peppers so again 3 ⭐. I had the Grouper with Rice and Broccoli $20 which was large and very good 5 ⭐. Another guest had the Caprese Sandwich at best a 4 ⭐. Shrimp and Grits were also good and at $20 a bit pricey but good. We also tried the 10 beer sampler $18 and as with any sampler you have some winners and some losers your call and hard to give a rating. Parking is always a challenge on Bay Street but were lucky and able to find metered handicap parking. Will we return? In all likelihood yes but will order some different items. By the way, food pictures are partly eaten so don't think we only received two wings etc.
