Great place to eat, feel like you have gone back in tine. My favorite type of place, Ma and Pa place seats about 10 people. Great ribs and chicken it falls off the bone. We Loved the okra and tomatoes they were awesom. Really nice people there make you feel like you went to Grandma's house for dinner. Highly recommend this place, it's out of the way but within walking distance of hotels on Bay Street.

We had such a lovely time here! A must-go to hole in the wall. Ronnie, our server was such a delight and the food was absolutely delicious. We had the flounder, mac and cheese, collards, BBQ chicken and yams. All of these were mouthwatering. Definitely coming back!

Hands down the best BBQ I've ever had. It's a mom and pop style restaurant. Everything is fresh and homemade and the history behind the restaurant makes you feel even more at home. Ronnie the server will have you leaving with a smile on your face. If in Savannah I highly recommend! A little hard to find but well worth it.

We have been here a few times. Almost every time we are in Savannah. The food and service is great, and the price is much less than the popular places. This time, my wife got a special treat. She has always admired the blue agave plant and wanted one for years. This time, they caught her admiring it and gave her a small one growing behind the big plant. They found a pot, shovel, and potting soil too. Just good people.

This place really was fantastic! A little hard to find but definitely worth the hunt. And Ronnie is a fantastic server if you get him as yours! Definitely a must for home cooked BBQ in Savannah.

Wonderful hidden gem in Savannah! Food was some great mom and pap homemade cooking and the gentleman who served us was absolutely charming.

Home cooking by third generation family. Ribs are the best. Just a small place but worthwhile to eat and meet the people who are some of nicest you will meet.

Literally the best BBQ I have ever had. It's an out of the way home in the wall that is simply fantastic. The pulled pork is to die for!

I was really excited to eat here, I found it driving through the alleyway it’s in and then looked it up to find food tours stop here, which got be hyped! To preface this, I’m vegetarian so BBQ isn’t the best genre for me to review but, there is room for sides! That being said, the sides were nothing to write home about. However, my date got the chicken and licked the plate clean! Something I can review is the sweet tea (I’m an affection-ado) and it was wayyy too sweet ☹️ All in all, the service was phenomenally nice and the ambiance was unique so 4 stars for you should try, but nothing to go back to.

Very cool hole in the wall place. Got a sampling of all meats and did not disappoint. Sides are good too and service is very friendly. Highly recommended.

A literal hole in the wal restaurant. It is in an alley, and when we first found it we were surprised to find it where it is. Very friendly and homey atmosphere. The food was good, but a tad pricey.

Great service, mom and pop shop with outstanding food, but limited seating. The potato salad, collard greens, mac-n-cheese, and red beans and rice took me back to childhood. Rum cake was outstanding and so was the devil crab.

I'm only putting the stars here to not mess up their rating. When I went the restaurant was closed due to Covid 19. I was really looking forward to trying what the locals were calling the best BBQ in town. Maybe next time. Important to note... The restaurant is on a half street/alleyway, so the GPS didn't take me directly there.

If you like BBQ this is the place to go in Savannah. Pulled pork was fresh and hot. Mac n cheese and potato salad were great. For dessert we had the banana pudding and it was excellent as well. This place is hard to find but definitely worth the excursion. Great and friendly service.

"About as authentic and delicious as it gets" Could not have been more delighted to have found this hidden gem. When we arrived my wife almost decided to leave this "hole in the wall" but we were so delighted that we stayed! Given that this place cooks everything for scratch fresh daily but only enough for 1 day (even prepare their own bbq sauce) and we had arrived an hour before closing most items were sold out, but we got to try their delicious and tender pork ribs and fried flounder fish. The ribs were falling off of the bone and just cooked so tasty and the fish was very lightly battered, both were served with very generous portions. For sides we tried the mac and cheese, candied yams, potato salad and black-eyed peas and delicious hot corn bread. We followed our dinner with a slice of apple bread pudding. I highly recommend anyone to check out this place, it can be hard to find since it is located in an alley, but once that food comes you will be delighted. Also, the service was great and the owners are so nice, while we were there it poured down with rain and they even offered to call their cousin to take us to our car. Southern hospitality at it's warmest!

I ate here in 2008 and I have never forgotten how delicious, how delightful, how great the people! I’m really sad that they’re closed right now and sure hope they open back up soon! I’ve always recommended it to travelers, have friends going down to Savannah this week and sorry they won’t get to experience this true Savannah delight!
