This is the best bar in Savannah! The Karaoke is amazing and the staff is wonderful (unless, of course, you are a prick...then they treat you like a prick!). I have been coming here for years and so many of the negative reviews on here are just completely unfounded. The bar and staff are not racist, their drinks are not weak, and -as I mentioned before- the staff is awesome. #ABouncerHasToDoWhatABouncerHasToDo #ServersWhoDontTakeShitFromAnybody

The place was packed mainly because it was a few of the only places open considering a hurricane was Baring down on them. Asked if they had a menu and said not so much... had burgers and they were the friggin best I've had hands down!!! Just lettuce and tomato... mayo ketchup or mustard would have ruined it... and I love those things.

My friend and I decided to try an Irish Pub on our last night in Savannah. We asked our Uber driver for the best one and he took us to Mcdonough's. We loved it!!! The food was awesome, the staff were all very sweet and talkative and the locals were fun to be around. And...once the karaoke started....it was SO fun!!!! Will definitely visit this place on our next trip. Loved it :)
The food and staff are wonderful. The chicken fingers are out of this world, as is the fish and chips. They were super pet friendly and treated our dog like she was a human. This is now our favorite spot. We went two days in a row and will be back often.

We are here visiting Savannah for the 2nd time because we love this city!!! We just found this gem here and can not believe what a great place this is!!! We stopped in and were greeted by the awesome bartenders Joe and Katie…they were so amazing and attentive! The food was unexpectedly amazing! Joe and Katie were a lot of fun to talk to while sitting at the bar and made our time here memorable!
I love this place I swear. The fried mushrooms and buffalo shrimps are my go to. 10/10 would definitely recommend. I believe the this guy named Joe is the manager and he’s always so funny and nice…if you’re ever in the area you should check it out. It’s a vibe!!
The service is great and you got a lot of value for your money. I wasn't expecting the bar food to be as good as it was (I was pleasantly surprised). I really enjoyed it, it's not pretentious and filled with locals, in other words, it's not a tourist trap. If you're into sports, they have a ton of televisions so you won't miss your favorite team excelling in whatever it is they do.
Best Fish and Chips in town. Careful though - chips are actual homemade (and delicious) potato chips. You can also get fries or coleslaw if you prefer. We ended up with all three unintentionally, but of course it’s the fish that keeps bringing me back even though I’m not big on fried foods
I have lived in Savannah for over 12 years and this was the first time i have ever been to this bar. I can honestly say i have been missing out!!! I loved the energy!!! The drinks were spot on and the bartenders were AWSOME!! Am looking forward to my next trip downtown to drink here again. I was part of a tour this time but next time i am definitely going to order some food!! Keep up the great work!!
Edit: After speaking with a manager who was very apologetic I am changing my review. Hopefully the mentioned employee was just having a bad night. The manager also ensured my refund was given. Original Review: Ordered 5 shots from a female bartender. Then when I tried to check out a male bartender assisted me. He asked me what I had ordered to find my check and then brought back a check for 88$. I had a very confused look on my face and he sarcastically asked if I need an itemized receipt. He brought back a receipt with none of the items I told him I had ordered on it and already charged my card 88$. Instead of apologizing he just nonchalantly said "oh must be the wrong check". He then takes it back and goes to his register and I watched him change the check and build the check with the items I told him I ordered. This guy just assumed I was drunk and wouldn't catch him trying to rip me off. I'm STILL waiting for my refund on the fraudulent check he made.
We had a BLAST Sunday night. Ended up here after our Spooky Pub Crawl and ended up staying and singing Karaoke!! Very good service and drink prices.
Love this place! I’ve been coming to mcdonoughs for almost a year and they’ve made me feel at home truly. Joe, Pati, Katie, Lawrence and all the bartenders, security, and booth operators are so nice and they make sure that everyone’s enjoying themselves with no nonsense taken. Go for karaoke and have a good time!
Amazing Karaoke! The DJ Chris puts together an amazing show, he participates himself and does a great job helping out participants if they are struggling with a song. My only complaint is that too many people sign up, but that's not really a problem, I would just love to get up on stage more. So if you do get thier early (before 9-9:30) as it's packed by 10:30.
The staff is super courteous and they do a great job of keeping the patrons in line as the night progresses.

Great place to get a drink and some late night food, staff was friendly and courteous have plenty of beer, wine and liquor options. The karaoke side of the bar is always a good choice also.
That place is still standing... It's been my spot for years. And the only thing I would say is that I wish the bar staff were a bit more warmer 🥱. But karaoke is fun and watching the flow of people come through like every 30 mins after 10p. It gets wild on Saturday night!
