It's all about the beer. You can find the best selection of German and Belgium beer here. Draft and bottles that you will not find anywhere else in Savannah or other larger markets. Beer is served in the appropriate glass for that style and will probably be a branded glass for that particular beer. The food compliments the beer and is authentic and tasty. Service can be slow when they are busy but it's Savannah. Have another beer and enjoy. It's always good to get a beer recommendation from the knowledgeable staff.

In my opinion one of the best and most authentic German Restaurants I have experienced so far in this country. It resembles a good common place in Germany -"Gaststätte", and every single component of the food is made from scratch. The meat and sausage come from a local butcher who really seems to have it. In short: AWESOME!

Didn't even know we were walking past a German restaurant. Ended up taking to the chef who explained the menu to me. Excellent bier, pretzels and of course schnitzel!. Waitress was fantastic. She recommended the chocolate cake and I should have asked her to help me finish it. No blaring music or TVs, great place for dinner and conversation

Awesome place. We have recently PCSed from bavaria this place has done a good job in bring a taste of the old country. more than just bier which they do have a great number of but also some good food. I order the classic schnitzel which was spot on could have been larger to be more authentic. would high recommend it

Great food and great atmosphere! It's in a little bit of a weird spot, in the back corner of a little shopping center, but don't let that scare you off! Great German food and great beer. Since it was our first time we sampled more of the menu than I would usually get, especially since the plates were quite large. We had the soft pretzel, crispy brussel sprouts, Munchner schnitzel, Welsh Glamorgan Sausage, Thuringer Brat, Potato Salad, Sauerkraut, Rotkraut, and Spatzle. The food we had was amazing. Some standouts worth mentioning, the Welsh Glamorgan Sausage was a vegetarian entree, however, it's totally worth checking out even if you are a meat eater; it's an amazing cheesey, crispy thing that's just great. The Munchner schnitzel was perfectly cooked, although I would've loved a little more horseradish in it than what I had; still delicious though. The thuringer brat was great, no idea how to describe it, but it definitely has different spices in it than your traditional brat. The Spatzle and Potato Salad were great, but the Rotkraut was absolutely fantastic, if you're considering it or something else definitely try the Rotkraut. I was a little unimpressed with the sauerkraut, it was less sour than what I'm used to, and unlike some German restaurants I've been to, it didn't taste like it was cooked in any bacon fat or anything, but I could be wrong (don't get me wrong here, it was still VERY good, just probably my least favorite thing we ordered, and I will probably get something different next time).

Such a great place! Staff is really friendly. Food is amazing. Get the pretzels and add the cheese. The meatballs are amazing and the schnitzel sandwich is amazing. The tap beer is top notch. Try the Christmas Bomb while they have it.

Food here is great and they have an extensive drink selection, including mead! They did get rid of their beer menu at some point between my last two visits which I was bummed about. It made it easier to find something new to try. Now, besides their specials, you have to lean over the bar and just sort of choose something out of the fridge. It's also in a bit of an odd spot. It's in the corner of an L shaped shopping strip, you'll walk into a little lobby and the restaurant is in the back.

We really enjoyed our dinner which consisted of a hearty and satisfying beef stew with carrots and potatoes ( Beef Goulash $12.95 ) served with a baguette. My wife loved her vegetarian sausage ( Beyond) and spaetzle with a side of fresh vegs. Comfortable, friendly atmosphere. Good service. Huge selection of German beers (bottled and draft). Don't ask for a Bud Light.

Our first time here was amazing. The food was fabulous. I haven't had German food this good since I don't know when. Service was also great. Our second time, only a few days later, was still good, but not as great as the first. They were super busy. Our food was even more delicious than last time, but service was lacking. I will always come back here for food, it's that good. And it's not in the touristy area of the city. Thank you Bier Haus for being awesome! (Couldn't take time to take a picture of my food, I was just too hungry and excited.)

Great Bier House. Food was delicious and they offer vegetarian and vegan options. Delicious Spatzel and sausage. The German cucumber side was very tasty. So many bier choices as well as wine.

Always a great time. Marshall and co are on point. Whether its a local beer or esoteric Belgian. It's here in proper glassware. Not stuffy. Laidback chill vibe. Kitchen rocks fun food.

Excellent food, I mean wow! The beer selection is pretty nice as well. The service can be slow. Staff is very nice about it but, the last time I was there I did see a few tables seat themselves then walk out after 15 minutes of being ignored. The sign that tells you to seat yourself is not on the podium where normally a host/hostess would be. Also there is one bathroom...if you plan on drinking a lot with a group, plan on holding it. The restaurant would benefit from a host/hostess and some bussing staff. I think perhaps that it has been getting busier and maybe they weren't ready for the growth. Still give it a 4/5 because the quality of food and brew is that good. I hope they catch up before these problems bite them.

Fantastic place great atmosphere. Amazing selection of beer. Visited with 2 friends. Than brought 10 next day for dinner. Everyone satisfied. Now - might have had one too many Paulaners. Left my leather jacket at the restaurant. Unfortunately had to leave Savannah for Tampa next morning. They have agreed to mail it. Thank you so much. Close till Monday my a..
