Y’all want real Mexican food? Come here! The food was super delicious and tasted very authentic! Our waiter was really nice, he greeted & served us immediately. Chips & salsa + queso was good. I had the Guadalajara which came with carne asada & sautéed shrimp. Really full of flavor and tender. The rice was super yummy too! It reminded me of my grandmother’s that’s how I know it’s authentic. Definitely recommend ☺️
Food was good, service was great, atmosphere very laid back and comfortable. Very close to my house, so I will be visiting again soon!! Wait staff was extremely helpful and attentive.
Great Tex Mex probably one of the best in Savannah , Don't know what else could top it that much. All the fixtures come with the chimichanga i got, big portions and great prices. The eat in restaurant is quite nice as well.
They play norteño, the service is solid, and the food tastes great.
Pictured here are the carnitas, thaf were so damn good.
Pro tip, don't sleep on the buffet.
Every time I dine at this restaurant, I order the nachos supreme. They’re always delicious! Yummy food and great service! 👏🏾

Phenomenal service… Food was delicious and out quickly ( no filling up cheese dip and salsa). Great and timely service especially for lunch when not too many come in to places like this during the day. Definitely coming back

Was greeted by Fernando as the host, and Angela was my server. Both were pleasant and friendly in speaking with. El Potro has been a favorite Mexican restaurant of mine for many years. Cozy private booths, ambient Mexican music.
Buffet hours are: Friday 11-9, Sat. & Sun 11-3.
Food is always very tasty, and authentic Mexican dishes.
I had the Texan Fajitas, combination of chicken, beef, shrimp, choice of flour or corn tortillas. Along with a frozen mango margarita, which Angela suggested and was very tasty.
The atmosphere is of a real Mexican restaurant, as compared to larger Mexican chain establishments.
A wonderful meal, and experience. I recommend for great tasting food, come here.
