Great Chinese food on the island to satisfy that craving. With that said the sugar donuts are a must order. Just wish there was a chocolate sauce to dip em in. Fried dough goodness. Everything was piping hot and fresh made.

I've been going to Chef Wan since I was a Junior at Islands Highschool back in 2011. This place just doesn't miss. I've been to a lot of different Chinese places in my day, but their Lo Mein and Mongolian Beef are both the best I've ever had. Their fried rice is really great as well. Don't let the location fool you, this is hands down the best Chinese take-out place on the Islands.

Best chinese in the islands. This little restaurant may be small, but it packs a huge menu. My wife and I have been eating here for years, and their quality (and quantity) of food has always been consistently good. My favorite menu item is the curry beef with steamed rice. Perfect blend of beef, onions, green pepper and excellent curry sauce. 2nd favorite is the mushu pork. My wife likes the pepper steak, the jalapeno chicken, and mongolian beef, all with the wonton soup. No matter what you order you will get alot for the buck. Restaurant is conveniently located in the center of Wilmington island. Out of all our experiences we only had one error, and that's when my wife ordered the jalapeno chicken and asked for no mushrooms (because shes allergic to them) and they forgot to take out the mushroom. She called to let them know and they immediate brought her a fresh correct order out to where we were on Tybee. This alone qualifies them for a 5 star. My 5 star rating is based on Food quality Food quantity Food price Customer service Location

The Sesame Chicken was fantastic! Prices were very reasonable and portions were great. My only problem at all was that, although I live fairly close (I live on Wilmington Island) I was still outside of the delivery zone. Still got Uber Eats though for a mere 49 cent delivery fee. Still I would prefer to pay a delivery fee to the business itself, so it would be fabulous if they would expand their delivery territory just a bit.

I have been eating their food for the last 15 years. By far, they have the best Chinese food on the island. The chicken and eggplant, Mongolian shrimp, and tofu with veggies were all very delicious.

Well, I usually don't get Chinese because it generally all tastes the same - which doesn't say much because the baseline has always been so low. This place, however, is good! We ordered the Jalapeño Chicken, Pork Twice Sautéed, Hot and Sour Soup, Egg Drop Wonton Soup, and Egg Roll....all....good. Unlike like every other Chinese place I've ever tasted, when this place says spicy it actually does have some nice heat. The flavors are great. Ok....guess there is Chinese food in the U.S.A. I do enjoy.

Chef Wan (along with wangs) is one of our favorite Chinese joints in all of Savannah. Super fast. And super delicious. The shrimp lo mien is a staple for us on a take out night. It's huge, fresh, loaded with crunchy broccoli and perfectly prepared shrimps!

One could basically close their eyes and point to anything on the menu and it will be delicious. I am currently obsessed with the Shrimp Mei Fun

We adore this place so much!!! The fried rice is always amazing! Their sweet and sour sauce is all I need in this world. Good food, good times, good prices. Best place to get Chinese on the islands!!

First time trying this place and was not disappointed. Finally found a place that puts vegetables and egg in their fried rice. The crab rangoon was delicious. We got the general tso's chicken and orange chicken, which were both flavorful. We ordered online, which was easy and the the suggested wait time to pick up was on point. This will be our go-to place for Chinese food for sure.

Stay away from the orange-peel beef!!! I’m giving Chef Wan a four-star because of the fast efficient and friendly service. I was quoted 45 minutes to an hour for delivery and it arrived in under 30 minutes hot and ready to eat. The crab Rangoon’s are delicious and the chicken lo mein is very tasty -I would order both of these again, however, the orange peel beef is not edible! It was the most expensive dish I ordered and cannot even swallow. Iis not like any other orange peel dish I have had at any other Chinese restaurant and I am extremely disappointed as I am a regular at Chef Wan. Not only does it not resemble anything orange, it did not have any orange peel in it and the sauce was a soupy, runny, red with any hint of any type of Chinese flavor - so hard to describe, so I ‘ll just say stay away from the orange peel beef!
