Hands down the best sushi in Savannah. Japanese owner. Most authentic.
Yummy! Great sashimi. New staff so had to ask for items several times. But would come again. (No rice just sashimi lunch special. Also not pictured is the miso soup and ginger salad. Asked for grilled veggies instead of rice. They subbed but normally don't)
Unfortunately the last to go order I got was missing all the soups and salads, when I called the waitress said I didn't order them so that's why they weren't there (But they were part of the meal combos I ordered) so the manager got on the phone and apologized. Next time I came in lots of us were huddled at the front door no one came up to us to ask if anyone was there to be seated or to pick up a to go order, So maybe hire some new/better staff, or more training of staff would help. The sushi was fresh (which is most important) so we will continue to come here.
Excellent food, absolutely top notch service. The service alone is worth the visit but the food is super good. We had them make a chef's choice roll and it ended up being my favorite. Also they have a lot of saki variations, even a saki flight! Would absolutely recommend this place to anyone who asked!

Great lunch, fresh sashimi, excellent tempura shrimp, great service! Yum!!
My husband and I absolutely love Kanpai and since moving to Wilmington Island we go at least once if not twice per week!!!! The Dynamite roll is my absolute FAVORITE right now along with anything that has spicy tuna in it!! The crab wontons are everything! Absolutely a must get!!! For entrees I love the tofu with fried rice, it is so delicious, my 14 month old loves it too!!!! The hot sake is yummmmmy! Servers are very nice and friendly as well! We love this place and are so happy to be regulars now that we live so close!
We went here for dinner while in town visiting. The sushi was pretty good, nothing super special, but no complaints at all!
Everyone at the sushi bar was courteous and provided great service!
Loved it! It has many different Japanese foods to pick from. I've gone there many times and I don't get sick of it. Another good thing about it is that before your food is finished you are allowed to get a soup and a small salad. I would recommend Mushroom soup. Overall if you like Japanese food this is the place for you!
Food was good. Fair priced.
I absolutely love their food and the service but im leaving 4 stars to get the merchant's attention for my feedback on their online menu for both direct orders and doordash. The menus can he confusing and i usually order yakiniku steak, which i usually call in, but i sometimes am unable to pick up the food for lunch because of work. The menus should be more simplified and allow the customers to use the note section to add their preferences if its not on the menu. On the direct order menu, i order the yaki niku entree via the sides, ie. Side fried rice, side yaki niku steak, side beansprouts. On the doordash menu, there isnt an option for sides and the fried rice entrees only have the ribeye steak option. On another note, yall run out of the beansprouts quite often and its a popular dish so when i order that as a side, its a 50/50 chance ill get it.
Best sushi place in Savannah hands down!
