Growing up in New Orleans, a mecca of great food, I have been more disappointed than delighted by the cuisine choices of western Michigan for the past 10 years. But Mesa Luna takes all those letdowns, rolls them up into some sort of kitchen voodoo, and brings things to your table that make you forget about all the mediocrities. From the moment you walk in, you are treated like an honored guest at a lovely dinner party. The piped-in Pandora, the excellent wine list, the service (thank you Bjorn for bringing such soft-spoken wisdom and insight to our experience)...and the food. Many years ago I sat in a dirt-floor restaurant in the shadows of Angkor Wat, Cambodia. The food was so heavily laced with love that it literally brought tears to my eyes. Last night, my wife ordered the Vegan Mongolian Vegetables, and those tears flooded back to me. That dish alone will have you rethinking your food-philosophy. But the cod was also spectacular. I can't say enough about it. And I want to personally thank Denise and Sam for reviving my faith in lakeshore restaurants. If you're within a hundred miles of Sawyer, I recommend setting a course for Mesa Luna. Linger there, enjoy the music and the wine. And when the food arrives, offer a prayer of gratitude. It's that good.

Amazing food and drinks, very friendly staff - best mussels I've ever had! Also loved the spicy fries and Shrimp Po boy sandwich. All fresh, all delicious!

Amazing dining experience at this place! Difficult to choose a meal because everything I've had has been out of this world. The owners and staff are wonderful people! The place is beautiful ... I feel like I'm having a dining experience with the community within a beautiful cozy home. So close to the expressway ... easy to get there from Chicago. Can't wait to experience the holidays at Mesa Luna. Exquisite, elegant, classy, amazing!

The server was very knowledgeable and the food was was outstanding!
Excellent fresh flavorful food, awesome beer and drink selections, great atmosphere and music and the best service I've seen in a long time. I will definitely be back and highly recommend it to any one in the area or passing by.

Hostess and bartender were so friendly and accommodating! The food was fantastic and the atmosphere was calming! Perfect ending to a long day at the beach!
Great service, Good atmosphere very quaint,and probably the greatest burger I've ever had, food was very fresh.
Limited one page but tasty menu. Nice wine selection and a couple of beers on tap. During our visit the crowd picked up and the wait staff became somewhat overwhelmed. I has the pot roast sandwich which was very well seasoned and presented. Overall it was a good place to eat with entries priced from around 15 to 30.
This is the best place to eat in Berrien County. Denise runs the front of the house and Sam runs the kitchen. We had our wedding reception there and it was perfect. Amber and Bjorn are awesome servers there. The menu is farm to table w great updated variety constantly. Denise runs a fun, social bar experience w lots of locals. Do not miss the best place to eat locally.
I LOVE this place. Get a bar spot if you can. Great food, awesome wine list and cocktail menu. Denise is amazing and Sam is a magician in the kitchen. Front of the house team (especially Bjorn) is wonderful. I bring all of my out of town guests here.
The food was delicious and the outdoor screened eating area was beautiful on a cool summer evening! The menu changes with the local ingredients, but they're sloppy joe was tangy and delicious. Their salmon dish was also light and tasty. The service is helpful and honest about any questions or pairings you are wondering about. Highly recommended!
Everything I have ordered has been great, and decently priced. I like their wine choices (good local selections) and their Bloody Mary. I love that they update the menu so often but keep the classic, delicious staples like chicken tenders and burgers.

One of the best burgers I've had in a long time. Love the home made seasoned fries. Our chicken noodle soup was good enough to pick up the bowl and start drinking it down. Thank goodness we keep our restaint. Wife's Kale chicken salad was just as good.
You can go here for a pretty good meal and a great selection Michigan microbreweries. The service is good and the food is pretty good too. The space is romantic if you are willing to sit close to your partner. The place can get loud. Overall, they consistently give good service and I am glad to return.

Available. The owners are skilled chef's and mixologists - the best cocktails in Harbor Country. Don't miss their garlic flan, an original dish baked to perfection and served over toast points. The decor is modern, pleasant, whether you sit indoors, in the screened in porch or patio. I love this place!
