We had a fantastic meal because of top notch cuisine, service, and setting. I would recommend this place to anyone that’s a fan of fine dining; especially if you like seafood.
I haven't been at Shaws in a long time Definitely one of the best meals and service we sat in the oyster bar the waiter was phenomenal the bar back Tony working so And really enjoyed watching the sushi chef all night long Kudo's to you all exceptional service exceptional meal very hard to find that combo lately 5stars plus!!!!!
Had such an amazing time here. The food was fresh and full of flavor. We did the oyster sampler and liked that we could taste oysters from all over. The crab was sweet and tasty and the Volcano roll was to die for. We went for a birthday celebration and we will defiantly go back!
Great place -- never had a bad meal or experience -- we have never been rushed
Our waiter, Barna, was amazing. Thank you for guiding us through the menu and making our first visit so enjoyable.
I went for my birthday 🎁 and my waiter Jimmy was great. The food on the other hand was even better! Thank you for making my birthday a night to remember.
The chocolate cake was to die for!great service, all in all, great place to eat!
Pros
- Very fresh seafood, one of the best calamari I've ever had. Oysters were very good too, and I recommend the Lobster Mac and Cheese. Grilled Copper River Salmon is very good, but too pricey IMO.
- Great servers, and great dinner vibes - their interior is a vibe
- Cocktails and dessert menu are excellent.
Cons
- Food chills too quickly, they don't seem to warm the plates
- Pricey
Overall, I highly recommend for a nice dinner out. Will be coming again.
My husband and I went at noon on a Wednesday. The waiter (Mike) was extremely attentive and never rushed us. We each had an appetizer, soup, main dish & dessert. Everything was cooked perfectly, hot foods were hot & cold foods cold. We each also had Raspberry Mojitos that were refreshing and expertly prepared. Pictured is my seafood salad.
I went here for my birthday and it was such an amazing experience. My wine glass was never empty, our server let us take our time, and the food was absolutely phenomenal!!! Also- if you’re getting
dessert get the Bananas Foster!!! It was ridiculous !! Definitely worth the trip!
I've been coming here since I was a little girl with my dad and it's still just as good years later.
We attended the Ridge wine pairing dinner yesterday and I was very impressed. They provided champagne as we walked into the room and they kept bringing everyone oysters while we waited for the event to start. I liked that all of the wine was pre-poured; everyone received generous amounts of wine. (I've been to a wine pairing dinner at McCormick's and they poured as the meals came out and for those sitting in the back we barely got any wine because the waitresses were overpouring everyone up front. When we asked for more wine we were told $24 a glass.)
I also liked that all of the seating was already figured out and all we had to do was find our table. (They did not do this at McCormick's and no one knew where to sit and people were all rushing for the front seats.)
The waiters and waitresses were on top of everything in a seemless manner and even gave us more wine after our dinner. I appreciated that they brought the chefs out to meet everyone because I feel like restaurants don't do that enough when they should. All of the food was delicious and just the right portions to where I felt full but not overstuffed.
I felt like I got what I paid for and then some.
Food was AMAZING. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was very relaxing. The only thing that struck me a tad much was $150 for 3 Alaskan King Crab legs per person. Now I understand the country is having financial problems, gas is at 5 bucks a gallon, and I've watched every season of Deadliest Catch and I take my hat off to those men who basically torture themselves for months on end to fill our plates as well as our bellies! (R.I.P. Phil Harris) Overall the place is FANTASTIC!!!
Super tasty, great cocktails and seafood. Split an order of shrimp linguine and fish and chips for dinner with a bowl of lobster bisque to start. The bread they bring as a starter is amazing with the soup.
Chicago’s finest. Tim hosted well.
The Mahi was excellent. Red Wine selection tasty.
There’s a formal wear side and a casual side.
Elevator to restrooms.
I’ll be back when visiting Chicago. Next time I’ll have on my formal wear 🤵♂️
Thank you.
We enjoyed a nice service and a pleasant atmosphere, the food was delicious and our cocktails were great! We will come back!
