Wow, great food and great service. I had the Nashville hot chicken wrap with fries. It was delicious! Nice and spicy. Great combination of flavors. See pic. The other 3 ladies with me had the chicken tingo tacos. They loved them! Beautiful restaurant bar with lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Bathrooms were very clean. Parking right across the street. Lots of alcohol choices at the bar. Lots of monitors with various sports playing on them. Great ambience.
We had a wonderful Mother’s Day brunch at City Works Schaumburg. Our server, Skylar, kept us laughing the entire time and made sure our coffees and waters were full. She was an absolute delight. Our food was delicious - we were so stuffed that we had to take a good majority of our food home. Overall a great experience.
I went here on a Friday night for dinner, and it was packed to watch some basketball. I sat at the bar, and the bartender was very attentive. The food I ordered came out fast and hot. I was probably in and out within 25 minutes, and otherwise would’ve had to wait an hour for a table. Hard to find a fault with anything.
I would recommend this restaurant to anyone staying at a hotel nearby and even to locals.
Gorgeous interior, really nice atmosphere. It's like a sports bar crossed with a posh restaurant. I can't imagine having a bad experience here, unless you just hate nice things.
I had the stuffed French toast from the brunch menu and a cocktail. He had a burger and a draft beer. All very good.
Will be back.
Great food and nice digs. Tough to get a table at dinner time as people like to linger here. Was excited to see that succotash was paired with the meatloaf... what I got (imo) was not succotash. Great selections of beer and whiskey... though it was tough choosing a beer that wasn't kicked.
We LOVE City Works Schaumburg!!! Carla our server was spot on, and so helpful and interactive with suggestions about what to order and how to have it cooked. She’s awesome. The manager Lauren went WAY WAY above and beyond to help us get seated and comfortable and was SO invested and compassionate about our needs. She is a serious asset for this organization, and I’m going to try and steal her away for my company!!!!!!
City Works is a suburban chain, delivering many brews on tap and delicious food. I've never been to a City Works, and this experience did not disappoint. This location is located next to a hotel, make sure you park in the right parking lot, which is across the street from the front entrance. There are signs that direct you.
Inside, the place is rather large. There's a giant bar/open kitchen area, a chalk board showcasing the day's brews. Their outside patio has a decent amount of seating, with a long table with firepit in the middle, and speakers pumping some good tunes while you sip on wine, dine on good food, and have some great conversation.
We ordered the following :
Cheese curds: comes in a cute lil basket, the cheese curds come sprinkled with white cheddar, cornmeal battered, and a delicious spicy mayo dipping sauce.
Buffalo Shrimp: this was really good! I wish it came with more than 6 of em. The dish consisted of crispy jumbo shrimp, bleu cheese crumbles, bleu cheese dressing, buffalo sauce.
Grilled chicken sandwich: cooked nicely, with a moist chicken breast, hardwood-smoked bacon, french fry aioli, shredded iceberg, vine-ripened tomato, red onion, avocado mash. The olive oil parsley fries was great.
Carolina fried chicken: A buttermilk breaded crispy chicken breast, spicy bread and butter pickles, carolina mustard bbq sauce, shredded iceberg, brioche bun.
And for dessert:
S'mores Dip: It a little cast iron skillet, there's a layer of chocolate, and surface-crusted marshmallow. The dish was served with graham crackers.
Peanut Butter Snickers Pie: SO GOOD!! The pie had an oreo cookie crust, peanut butter mousse, snickers, whipped cream, chocolate and caramel sauce. Highly recommend!
Service was great, food was great, and the overall ambience was fantastic.
BATHROOM REVIEW: The bathroom consisted of a couple of urinals and bathroom stalls. Everything was in clean working order. Sit or squat? Sit!
