The staff is great, the cook frequently comes out and talks to the patrons. The owners were there for an event and were both incredibly friendly. I’m not in Schenectady very often, but this is a must stop if I am.
The craft beer is always changing. Great selection. No other like it in Schenectady. The doughboys are delish. Nice crowd too.

I had been told about Hunter's, but I had not been there until last night. I felt welcome from the first moment in: the two men at the bar asked me what type of beer I like and suggested Harpoon IPA - perfect. My friends arrived, and we ordered. I don't usually order wings, but because I had heard very good things about the wings, I ordered the house wings- hot. They were excellent - tasty, crisp, plenty of white meat. Another beer - and all was well. Great night.

Yummy wings and 15 beers to choose from ranging from old reliables/domestics to regionals/craft brews. Something to please everyone's hunger and thirst. Plenty of TV's. Nice addition to the Little Italy section of Schenectady as well as downtown in general.

Another Sunday adventure into Schenectady found me at Hunter's on Jay. So glad I stopped. Had heard about the beer selection and good food. Did not disappoint! 20 taps and many of them local. Tried an array of different beers; from sours to stouts. Ordered the wings with hot and garlic parm mixed. They were delicious. Crispy, saucy and spicy. Zach the bartender was incredible! Extremely personable and very beer saavy. He made me feel at home as well as the customers there ranging in age from younger to older. Great "secret" neighborhood spot. Will definitely be back to try more menu items and beers.

This is the kind of place where "everybody knows your name". The bartenders are super friendly, they have a great selection of beers and ciders on tap, and the wings are delicious! Its our regular spot and we'll keep coming back for the friendly service and welcoming atmosphere.
Friendly, cozy, neighborhood bar. Zach the bartender is great. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Both times we have been in we sat at the bar and enjoyed chatting with him. Menu is small but yummy. They grill the wraps so they are crispy on the outside, one of the best wraps I've had. Will definitely go back!
