No better place to stop for lunch, dinner, or just dessert. Had a wonderful sandwich and milkshake today at the Sugar Bowl. I would always recommend somebody stop in.

Loved this little ice cream shop! When you walk in it feels like you’re stepping back in time! It’s so quaint and vintage. We sat at the counter and service was quick and staff were friendly. Great ice cream options and shakes even ordered some food. You have to stop in when in your Old Town Scottsdale. It’s been around since 1958!

First time here! Roaming around Old Town Scottsdale after having a nice dinner we were in the mood for a dessert. Greeting a seated immediately by a friendly server. Unlike any other dessert shop I've been to, they seat you, bring you some water and have a wide variety of options on the menu. There was food but we were interested in the dessert aspect. My boyfriend got the pie of the day, apple pie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and I got the brownie sundae! His pie was absolutely amazing, it was warm and baked perfectly with the vanilla ice cream on top. And my sundae was so good, it was a nice soft and chewy brownie, marshmallow fluff, vanilla ice cream and whip cream on top. Took us about 15 minutes to enjoy and then pay and leave. Super cute date and not bad pricing at all. There's lots of seating and even a small arcade side attached to the building. I recommend if you're looking for a cute date night or just in the area. I know I'll be back.

My family and I went in for a little food and a sweet treat. We were seated promptly, and service was decent. I ordered the Famous Nut Bread with butter on it, not knowing from the menu what I would be getting. It was almost like a banana bread or zucchini bread. It's not too sweet, dense, and delicious. But I wasn't expecting 2 thick slices with bread between them, like a sandwich, and I had a hard time eating it all. The leftovers were just as delicious the next day. My Orange Raft was a big disappointment. The "Sprite" was seltzer water or something. Perhaps it was just out of syrup. But I didn't want to just sit there waiting to get checked on, so I mostly just ate the orange sherbet. I wasn't expecting it to float over the drink since the menu described it as floating in the Sprite, so I was surprised by the way it looked and had no idea how to tackle it. When I pushed the sherbet into the cup with the straw I was given so I could get to the Sprite to drink it, there was a reaction, and the drink bubbled up extensively, resulting in my quick drinking of seltzer-water-tasting fizz and having it spill onto my plate as well. Some of the sherbet crusted over while submerged, too. The sherbet itself tasted fine, like any orange sherbet I've gotten at the grocery store. I'd come again to try another dessert out, but I wouldn't order this drink again. One of my kids got a Top Hat Sundae and enjoyed it, although it was bigger than they were anticipating. My other kid was distracted by the games in the other room and didn't care we didn't have cash on hand. The staff was patient with tantrums and even brought over some crackers, which my kid happily ate.

We arrived around 11:30 on a Sunday during a heatwave. We were able to easily park (by 1:00 this would have been a challenge) and found the Sugar Bowl able to seat us immediately with very attentive wait staff. The Walnut sundae I had was fantastic and my wife raved about her sundae also. Total bill was a tasty treat as well at on $20. We noticed what appeared to be a grandfather with 3 young granddaughters enjoying Sunday treat at a nearby table and realized how special this place is. The place is either cutely decorated in the 1950's plush pink mid century modern motif or its simply never changed. Either way, we loved it! If you do not know the history of this really neat part of Americana then you have got to step in to step back in time to a simpler and sweeter moment, you'll be happy you did.

Very pretty in Pink aesthetics💕 I had a delicious pineapple and strawberry sundae, friendly service. It's busy at night, but it's definitely a good place to hang out with family and friends. There's also a small arcade room.

Always a fav when needing comfort food in Old Town Scottsdale. I believe it's diner charm is as quaint today as it was in the 1950s. Quick service even on the busiest days. Conveniently located across from several good eats....or pick up a sandwhich or burger here 😋

I had the make-your-own banana split, it was quite good, and you could choose two flavors of ice cream and two toppings. I had chocolatier and vanilla with hot fudge and peanut butter sauce. The only negative was there wasn't enough peanut butter sauce. The service was good, especially considering it was the last hour of the night and it was somewhat busy.

18 of us bounded into this place at 9:30 p.m. on a Friday. They happily accommodated all of us. Excellent wait staff, took our orders quickly, and got everything correct. Kept drinks full, and we're happy to accommodate substitutions. We had a great time, and loved everything thing about it. All items were delicious! A must try! We'll be back!!!

Wow, what a sugar rush! We had everything from a coffee shake, Hot fudge sundae, and a Top Hat cream puff hot fudge sundae. This ice cream shoppe has been in Scottsdale for 65 years. Everything seems like it was when it first opened!
