The Phoenician is a lovely spot to enjoy afternoon tea! We were with a party and the service was exceptional. The tea sandwiches were some of the best I've had and they brought a refill platter over if you wanted to double up on a particular sandwich. The scones were my least favorite part of the tea... they weren't the traditional scone that I'm used to, but we're still good. Tea cakes and treats were gorgeous and delicious... again, the most impressive tea treats I've had. Overall, great experience!

The greatest afternoon tea in Arizona. I've had the rest but nothing beats the best. The service is world class. The sandwiches, scones (with Devonshire cream), and desserts, are all unbelievable. Do not hesitate to visit and be sure to book far in advance.

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing Afternoon Tea at the Phoenician, and it was a wonderful and sophisticated experience with premier service. The setting was beautiful, with live piano music and resort views. The finger sandwiches were fantastic, with options for seafood, vegetarian, and meat lovers. The English Cucumber with fresh mint cream cheese and the Soft Poached Lobster Roll with lemon aioli was particularly delicious. I also appreciated the unique and creative addition of the Pickled Deviled Egg with ninja radish and chive. The Buttermilk and Cranberry Scones with clotted cream, lemon curd, and strawberry preserves perfectly accompanied the finger sandwiches. It was great to know that there were also vegan and kids options available on the menu. The wine pairing with Sonoma-Cutrer Chardonnay from Russian River Ranches, California, was an excellent choice to complement the food. Finally, the Caviar Enhancement with Royal Osetra with blini, chive, crème fraiche, soft-boiled egg, and lemon was a luxurious addition to the experience. Overall, the Afternoon Tea at the Phoenician offers a sophisticated and enjoyable experience with an excellent variety of food options and wine pairings. Highly recommended for a special occasion or a relaxing afternoon with friends.

What a delightful and unique experience! All of the food was absolutely delicious. Each little finger sandwich was impeccably seasoned. The scones were perfection with the devonshire cream and fruit. I have to say the lemon curd was the best I have ever has...not to tart, light, and delicious. The pastries were a wide variety of flavors and perfectly delectable. The tea was fragrant and everything I was looking forward to. Service amplified the experience and absolutely took it to the next level. Wanda, Natalie, Lillie, and Oscar were all friendly and committed to providing an amazing guest experience. I will definitely be doing this again!

My favorite afternoon tea. Wanda goes above and beyond, as always, to ensure that everyone has exactly what they need. Her smile is infectious and the food and tea selection is never off. The sights are beautiful and the flavors are always on point. We upgraded to sparkling wine with our service and our glass was never empty. Highly recommend for special occasions or some great bonding time with the ladies.

My sister and I decided to take our mom to afternoon tea for her birthday and she absolutely loved it! It was a great experience and the service was exceptional. The atmosphere was spectacular and the pianist nearby really added the extra kick of zazz and relaxation. The food was yummy and the tea was delicious! Ask for Wanda and Natalie. Those two ladies were so kind, friendly and we had a great time with them. They worked their butts off and were on top of everything! By the end of it, we were just wanting them to sit down and join us. Coming from little tea parties with our mom as little girls to an actual tea time as adults is something we will cherish forever. It was no cheesey tea party, it was classy, elegant and a wonderful time. After sending my husband photos he wants wants to give it a whirl too. 😉 We loved it and will be back again!

One of the best afternoon tea experiences in the US. They particularly stand out for their unlimited selection in both champagne and food items. The hotel is of course amazing and the patio overlooking the pool area is nice. Their service is also top notch

1st class experience with service and the delightful finger foods. Being from English decent I drank tea daily growing up & the tea list is extensive along with the food portions that were very satisfying. We left with a box of left overs we snacked on for 2 days. I suggest you follow English tradition and dress up to be Nines to fully enjoy the experience. Oh Yes- there were a few people who showed up in their Toyota Priuses to just have tea in shorts and t-shirts but they looked like clowns and I could see they were very uncomfortable being dressed out of place. We were staying at the resort for 3 days so doing this one evening is a smart idea if you have time and a desire to experience a cultural tradition that is lost in our current, lazy, get it quickly at the drive through window generation. Special shout out to Lillie the maitre d of the Tea room. She made our experience memorable and we shall return again. Also the pianist, Alan is a very gifted man who plays off ear and can play anything requested.

The best afternoon tea we’ve tried in the Valley – various visits, and still satisfied! Adhering to traditional English-style afternoon tea is being served in their new quaint Tea Room area. Voted consistently Best Afternoon Tea in the area in Arizona Republic and Phoenix New Times reviews, includes impressive tea blend selections along with unlimited finger sandwiches, pastries, scones along with tasty Devonshire cream, marvelous preserves and delectable pastries. The sandwiches consisted of: English Cucumber with seedless cucumber, fresh mint cream cheese, and white pullman; hickory-smoked Salmon; Mousse of cream cheese, dill and citrus on dark pumpernickel; traditional egg salad, Watercress, and whole wheat; lemon and thyme chicken salad; delectable chicken salad with fresh thyme and lemon on marble rye; crispy asparagus & garlic-herb mousse with poached asparagus tips and boursin mousse, aged Parma-ham on white loaf. The fresh baked tasty although somewhat dry Scones were of Buttermilk and Cranberry Served with Devonshire Cream lemon curd and Strawberry Preserves. One can enjoy a pleasant background ambience relaxing to classics and standards played while you enjoy your tea, with locally renown pianist Alan Comyns. Let’s not forget great servers, especially vivacious and attentive 19 years of experience Wanda, making your tea time extra pleasant. Kudos to the Phoenician for continuing the great level of service and attention.

Afternoon Tea at the Phoenician is delightful. It creates a sense of inner peace. Everything was spectacular and treats were delectable. The atmosphere is charming and there was a pianist. Service was attentive and professional. It is worth going but they need warn people about the service charge. This came as a surprise especially considering I was a party of one. I asked upfront about the total cost and wasn't told about fee. Still recommend. Four stars because of the unexpected fee. Now you know.

The afternoon tea was a great experience. We had 3 courses. The first course was bite size sandwiches: cucumber, egg ,chicken salad, smoked salmon and asparagus . The next course consisted of scones and biscuits. The last course was desserts. There was a huge selection of tea choices on the menu. It's a great ladies outing! We were there for my neighbors Birthday and the piano player played happy Birthday for her which added a nice touch!

A former boss of mine had been gracious enough to setup an afternoon of tea for a guest of mine and myself—I decided to take my sister. We were welcomed very kindly by Wanda, whom my boss knew quite well—she raved about her! Wanda was exceptionally warm and treated us as though we had been patrons of the Phoenician. I was delighted by her hospitality and our seat selection. Everything was outstanding and the entire staff were gracious and helpful. I would definitely return given our wonderful experience.

My family loves afternoon tea at the Phoenician. It's second to none. In fact, on a recent trip to NYC we had afternoon tea at one of the most famous hotels in the world, the Plaza (Palm Court). We couldn't help but compare the Plaza to our many visits to the Phoenician and decided to compare in these categories... Phoenician Plaza Ambiance 10 10 Food Quality 10 6 Tea Quality 10 7 Food Variety 10 8 Tea Variety 10 2 Service 10 7 Pace 10 1 Overall Experience Phoenician: 10 Plaza: 5.9
