Ah, let me take you on a journey through the culinary treasures of Italy, right here in the heart of Scottsdale! As I ventured into this unassuming strip center, little did I know that a delightful Sicilian haven awaited me. Nestled within its unpretentious exterior is a gem of a "mom and pop" establishment that captures the true essence of Italian hospitality and cuisine. Picture this: a charming, cozy interior that warmly welcomes you, like a long-lost friend returning to their homeland. The clean ambiance sets the stage for an authentic experience. As I entered the realm of flavors, I was met with the inviting aromas of a kitchen that thrived with passion and tradition. The open kitchen concept not only bridges the gap between chefs and diners but also adds a dash of theatrical flair to the evening. It was a Tuesday, around the golden hour of 5:30 PM, when my culinary journey began. The fact that this establishment operates on a BYOB basis is a charming nod to the communal spirit of Italian dining. Armed with my own bottle of wine, I took my place at a table that seemed to be waiting just for me, surrounded by ample space in which to savor the forthcoming feast. Ah, the appetizers! A prelude to the symphony of flavors that was about to unfold. The artichoke and fresh baked bread danced harmoniously on my palate, their deliciousness singing in every bite. It's moments like these that reaffirm the magic of simple ingredients, handled with care and love. Amidst the tantalizing aroma of pizza wafting around me, I found myself drawn to the allure of pasta. An ode to tradition, yet with a touch of creativity. While the majority reveled in the splendor of the pizza, I opted for the Chicken Marsala over linguini – a special of the night that promised an elevated experience. And oh, did it deliver! Tender chicken, the tangy burst of mushrooms, all enrobed in a silky linguini embrace. It was as if Sicily itself had whispered its secrets into this dish. My dining companion, more adventurous in her choice, embarked on a journey of her own – the Boscaiola. Penne pasta, a canvas for a masterpiece of flavors: hearty sausage, earthy mushrooms, verdant spinach, and a brandy creme sauce that could only be described as divine alchemy. Each bite was a revelation, a tapestry of tastes interwoven in culinary brilliance. But it wasn't just the food that left an indelible mark. The presence of the Italian owners, their smiles radiating as they prepared the evening's delights, elevated the experience to one of intimacy and authenticity. So, my dear food enthusiasts, heed my words: this haven of Sicilian delights is more than just a restaurant. It's a portal to Italy, a testament to the power of heritage and passion. For those seeking not only exceptional food but an immersive journey, I implore you: surrender to the allure of this culinary treasure trove. You shall not be disappointed.

My partner and I came with a huge hankering for pasta. This place did NOT disappoint. Both of us ordered specials, and they were, by far, the best pasta dishes we have ever had. Top 5 at least;) Then again, how could we not immediately know it was going to be good? The kitchen smelled AMAZING when we walked in! The people are super friendly, and to top it off with such a amazing food? You can't beat that. I can't wait to come back and see what new amazing dish the chefs comes up with next. I'll be sure to come with an empty stomach, and leave with a smile on my face.

Service was exceptional, food was seasoned well, cooked to perfection, and great portion size. Not to mention the price of the food which is worth every penny. I didn’t get the servers name but he was amazing. Topped our night off. Best service I’ve had since visiting Arizona from Texas.

The food was all excellent. Our server Johnny was super nice and gave good recommendations. The prosciutto wrap pasta was incredible. There is no wine/liquor on the menu but they allow you to bring your own for a small uncorking fee, and there is a store next door that sells a good selection of wine/beer.

This is authentic Italian food and everything about this place is fantastic. Everything tastes extremely fresh and every noodle is cooked to perfection. The portions are large and their bread is warm and soft, no butter necessary. The staff and service would make this place worth going to even if the food wasn't so fantastic. Everyone is extremely personable and kind. I will be recommending this place to anyone and everyone. No wine sold on-site but they do solve this with an $8 uncorking fee and a liquor store 15 feet away. Which I would have usually dropped a star for but the food and staff make every penny worth it at this place.

Absolutely incredible place. The food was so full of flavor and you could taste the passion that is put in the cooking. The service was wonderful and the owners are amazing. I will definitely be returning here for date nights in the future. My wife said that this ruined all other Italian food for her, it was that good!

Wow! What an incredible find! We were in North Scottsdale and stumbled across this locally owned family place that is fantastic! There are 10 tables indoors and a cute little patio as well. They don't serve alcohol, but there is a shoppette next where you can purchase and bring in for a very reasonable corkage fee. Service was fast and friendly. I loved the open kitchen, especially when we could hear the chef singing along to the radio. I had the signature dish, the BG Pasta. I ordered it with penne and shrimp. It was amazing! A creamy basil sauce with plump shrimp and perfectly cooked pasta. My friend had the eggplant parmesan with a a side of angel hair and marina. She loved every bite. I also had a side house salad and was shocked at how tasty it was. The sliced pepperonci added such a great flavor. We couldn't pass up the garlic bread with cheese and so glad we didn't! This is out of the way for me, but I will absolutely visit again.

Excellent service and delicious food in this friendly neighborhood restaurant. Pizza was really good, with a very good amount of each topping. We are very happy we found this place and how to be back soon when we visit this area.
